Should pedal work required even be remotely related to taildraggers? I would expect not from an F-16.
-
Just like the other non combat prop plane we have, it is left in the bottom of a dusty stack of papers. Would love to be more optimistic but that is hard.
-
very nice landing there. Airspeed is secondary and aoa primary in most fbw aircraft as you probably know. Sure it will be tuned to be very close to irl in a few updates.

One video is out on YT showing the grip, waiting for an in depth review hopefully soon. I might get it to ressurect my ancient first batch T-50 base i have on my shelf, tempting if it is any good :)

Small corrections with the stick is enough to keep it where you want it to be. In order to keep it steady at all times hands off, that is where the autopilot comes in. From what i can tell the autopilot full function is still wip.

Thanks for the update.

But it should be "easy" at low winds like any other jet we have. Or it would be known to be hard by irl reports. Hence the bug.
-
That is weird. Would you say it is easy to keep straight even compared to other jets in the sim? As more people have reported this i think the strange part is how it varies between users. At low wind slight crosswind angle i have to fight the rudder after nws disengage at about 75-80îsh knots to maintain straight. No other jet i have does this for me. At no wind it can be done with small adjustments like i would expect from any semi modern jet, yet some have problems with no wind? Again weird. Just to clarify. No mods, and my vkb controllers double checked in joytester and in game indicator. Will do more test at higher winds to investigate more.

The big yaw on takeoff roll has been reported and confirmed. With little to no crosswind she will require pedal like she has a big prop in front. With no wind small corrections needed, Maby a bit to much but sure they will fine tune it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251646

ETA on the new sounds? Thanks.

[CORRECT AS IS] Control surface is sluggish
Hoffster replied to dg6546's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I feel like it is the initial response that needs tuning. It feels like a built in deadzone. I thought the force sensing stick irl should feel like small wrist actions should make it roll quickly like the F5 with no curves. -
Just turn down the big com knobs for now.
-
So far only tried the startup tutorial and loving the look of the pit. Just had to change my pants though when the radio went full blast on engine start drowning out poor Wags. Have to remember to turn down the knobs before atempting that on the second try ;)

Tried the trim tab setting to both extremes, and still same small right rudder required for ball center cruise. No change from centered slider.

Hard for non russian readers to see what was in that link?

Hopefully we will see some updates soon. Really looking forward to the sound update to get rid of the engine loop sound. -
Significant reduction in rudder required on takeoff ?
Hoffster replied to TheSkipjack95's topic in DCS: Yak-52
No. Flies as it used to in normal flight. That means slight right rudder to keep coordinated in cruise. But control indicator shows constant left applied rudder regardless of speed and power applied. Other aircraft are fine. -
Significant reduction in rudder required on takeoff ?
Hoffster replied to TheSkipjack95's topic in DCS: Yak-52
Hmm this is indeed a strange one. I Tested it now and i can takeoff without using rudder. A slight right turn att full power but then the control indicator auto trims to the left and it straightens out by itself. I Did check that none of the help boxes was ticked multiple times. I tried to activate auto rudder in the Yak misc menu, and got the exact same result as without it. Yaw indicator stays trimmed to the left during the whole climb out and even at cruise. Feeling like something has "stuck" in the settings. -
[RESOLVED]Cockpit ilumination changes when NS430 popup is visible
Hoffster replied to danvac's topic in Bugs and Problems
Did a quick test in the yak after the update. And it seems to be fixed. Nice work! -
Agree. What surprises me most is why the 2d shadow/lighting bug hasn't been fixed yet. Numerous posts and bug reports on this.

Normal INS drift? I don't have the F-14 yet so i can't test.

Having wind in a server interferes with the tail wheel
Hoffster replied to Rolds's topic in Bugs and Problems
This looks like what im getting too! -
After i few months break from this module i wanted to try it out again. Made a simple mission in nevada hot start from ground. Started roling forward all was good until i start to use the rudder. The plane turns as expected initially but then the tailwheel goes crazy and does its own thing making taxing impossible. I have checked everything. Rudder axis works fine, rudder swings as it should. Tried reinstalling the module, all other aircraft fine. Can some of you please check on your end? Thanks.

Very annoying bug that has been there since day 1 for the pop up version.
