  1. Have fun building! I recently built a new PC for myself with the exact same motherboard
  2. I found there to be no need in the F-16, since you're in reduced gain already if you have the refuelling door open. The hardest part is actually throttle control because of the lack of physics (interaction between the boom and your aircraft). When I learned aerial refuelling only the M-2000 was available and yes initially I reduced axis sensitivity until I got more used to my setup.
  3. It definitely is, and what works for one person might annoy another. As I said you have my thanks for giving me an excuse for spending many hours in my beloved Mi-24 (I liked the mission length btw). The idea behind the missions was great and the objectives made sense. I wouldn't mind buying Petrovich a beer so he could give/borrow me a cassette with his playlist
  4. Yeah I've been using that for quite a while too Not really, but it requires practice. When I learned to do it many many moons ago, I might have "accidentally" (*cough*) discharged some 20-mike-mike into the odd tanker here and there out of sheer frustration. Keep going, and practice
  5. I just finished this campaign, and if you're open to it, here's some constructive feedback (forgive me if I come across as blunt but I prefer clear communication): Pro: Cons: Overall: A little story from my experience: Closing thought: clearly a lot of effort went into making this campaign, so I thank you for that and wouldn't mind seeing more in the future IF they are a bit more VR-friendly
  6. Also, what does this have to do with Steam? The support forum for the Rampagers campaign is here: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/1320-dcs-fa-18c-the-rampagers-campaign/
  7. Indeed, and the Mini Updates thread hasn’t gotten an Update in almost 3 years…
  8. Set them as Slider instead of axis. Also keeping the stick in your lap to force the tail wheel on the ground does help, but you always need to be gentle with wheel brakes.
  9. First thing I’d do, the moment a “forum assistant” is introduced, is figuring out how to turn it off
  10. Yup: my personal wish list for DCS forum users: - learn to read; - learn to use the Search function
  11. You don't. You practice at a target range, and then memorise the firing parameters.
  12. Yup, I’ve done a few dogfights in an F-5 and F-4 against a random skill-level MiG-21 and I got them easily - and I’m by no means an ace dogfighter.
  13. Witchcraft! Burn him on the stake! Fast Forward until the very end and then take it out and flip it!
  14. Sure but that’s quite unlikely I think, since working on someone else’s code is a royal pain in the behind. And that’s even more so when the initial programmer is from a different country/continent with an entirely different mindset.
  15. I recently went from a dedicated 2TB drive to a 4TB one for DCS
  16. I use Profile Inspector to force the DLSS preset (J in my case, which I find highly superior to K). I also tested the other command but didn’t like it, so I removed the line again. But we’re all different, with different eyes and different preferences
  17. It definitely isn’t just you. I haven’t seen it before so I guess it must be rather recent - but I also admit it’s been a minute since I flew anything fixed wing (except for a short hop in the Corsair right after launch).
  18. I've been using nVidia for ages, but it should in fact be nVIDIA. And I remembered "intel" wrong: I've been using iNTEL for ages too. Personally I don't do ignore lists, but looking around the forum these past few years you're far from the first, and will likely not be the last either
  19. "Invert" should work and it does for me. In fact, inverting the Y-axis is necessary with every single module that uses a TDC - not just the AH-64.
  20. The F-15 has a bubble canopy and excellent all-round visibility, so yes it should be harder to sneak up on. Now try the same with a MiG-21 or -23, which are notorious for having non-existent visibility especially towards the rear.
  21. I checked your track in both pancake mode and in VR, and you're right: it looks the same on my end. It looks like Draconus was spot on: it definitely looks like a bad LOD model which then interacts strangely with heat blur. When the aircraft are about 450m away, the effect disappears and things go back to normal.
  22. They should just split off the GeForce department, then nVidia can focus on AI as much as they want without negatively affecting gamers. Speaking of a company that forgot where it came from… And AMD isn’t that much better at the moment since they copy nVidia on pretty much everything these days including consumer unfriendly behaviour. I hope that iNTEL gets their cards (and especially drivers!) working properly so we can have a proper 3rd player.
  23. Since this basically means it’s very likely the RAZBAM modules will have serious issues (or cease to work altogether) in 3.0, let’s hope an agreement can be reached and implemented rather soon…
  24. I don't agree. The moving map works perfectly well and does what it's supposed to do, and is era-appropriate with the rest of the systems. Besides, a GPS unit would be another step into yet another "MFD ridden flying calculator" instead of a proper aircraft with its own unique character. The feeling of flying/operating is also completely different. Many of us are old enough to have made road trips to different countries in the pre-GPS era. With visual navigation (road signs and landmarks), a compass and a map and we managed to get to our destination and back home again just fine I can't stress enough how much I prefer visual recon, radio navigation (beacons) and using a map over following a dotted line on a screen towards a "your destination is here" sign hovering in the sky...
