That's what I gathered. But I was specifically referring to radio triggers and random conversations with Petrovich: if you take the long route, you never get told to switch to the Bagram Tower frequency. I just did the mission again (3rd time), this time taking the short route and the trigger to switch to tower was there.

I opened the mission in the ME and I saw the triggers along the short route. I'll do that, then

All that complaining about livery size, while SSDs are the cheapest component in your PC…

I did not, and because the anti-icing panel is only labelled engine anti-ice, I looked all over the cockpit trying to find a pitot heater but didn’t see it. I also looked for a rotor heater but noticed an indicator with 4 sectors which seemed to be just that, and it was operating. I had the battery heater on too… Time to take out the manual and look for the location of the pitot heat switch…. Oh… oh wait… *edit* Just found it in Chuck's Guide. Time to fly the mission again (this time I'll take the short route) and see if it works

Yes: the “remaster” got a new external 3D model, slightly improved cockpit textures and a new first-person pilot model. That’s it.

Yes, but it depends on your hardware. If you have non-self centring pedals with a damper for example, you can use "Microswitch on/off on pedal movement" or whatever it's called, which works reasonably well but you have to stay ahead of the helicopter. This setting works best if you have FFB pedals really, and have auto-move pedals turned ON. Microswitch auto OFF with the button bound works well too, so (depending on your hardware) I'd suggest you try both and see what works best for you. No, since microswitches are pressed (IRL) when you put your feet on the pedals (there's a pressure sensor built-in).

I had issues with that too, for the first time in the module. Normally I have the Greben in MAG, but I figured with all these mountains around there's probably some interference (I actually don't know if that's modelled), so I switched to GYRO but that didn't improve matters in a noticeable way. DISS-15 is known to have problems in mountainous regions but I wasn't using that...

Mission 2 after-action report: Subtitles are outside of my normal field of view: I actually have to look up and to the right to see them. But perhaps it's different for different headsets.

And simply by not being a ‘BlueFor flying calculator’ makes it less attractive to the general audience

Yes, changes stay applied but only for the currently installed version. When you update the driver (or roll back), you need to make the changes again.

I don't live in Poland so I didn't learn Russian in school. I started it out of my own free will because of being interested but the complexity (and the fact that I was already learning 3 other languages at the time) turned me off. I understand subtitles being distracting if you're familiar with the language and the enunciation of what's being said is good

I just did the first (real) mission, and it's off to a great start already. I loved the dialogue (Petrovich calling out he spotted a cloud made me laugh out loud )!

That actually makes a lot more sense. I don't find the manual clear on this topic, so I decided to play it safe and use 2_4 and 2_5. I was aware some lanes go to the CPU and others to the chipset, but there really should have been a very clear diagramme explaining all that... Things are similar to the USB slots on the rear I/O panel: just because there's an X amount of slots available, doesn't mean you can use all of them at the same time and expect everything to work. There's a HUB video that explains that, luckily.

RIP people who don't have 4TB drives. I'll burn a candle for you poor sods

Three. I use two myself: 2_4 and 2_5. The ones closest to the primary X16 slot are Gen5 but using those makes the primary PCIe drop to x8, so basically the board supports Gen 5 NVMe in theory only. But then again, why would you want one? It’s a lot more expensive and in daily use you won’t notice the difference - unless you’re a content creator who moves massive files around all the time.

This. Preset J is superior to K when it comes to image quality, at the cost of some ghosting (depending on the background of the specific scene), but I don’t know it that counts for spotting dots too as I don’t use K. I have been using 2 pixels instead of Auto since the changes to spotting dots were implemented for that exact reason: to work with DLSS.
