I am doing a hot start. The problem I seem to have is that I cannot get the gun to use auto rather than manual ranging.
-
As I understand, you cannot set the gun for auto unless the Radar Alt is on. When I go to A/C > Flt >Set and the rad alt is at the bottom right side of the MFD. The little circle is hollow and when I try to click the button next to it, nothing happens. I assume the circle should become solid but it does not. What am I doing wrong?

In the guns training mission, the only way to advance is to use the slave button in the game and NOT either the key command nor the HOTAS button.
-
Hit space numerous times.

I seem to get stuck in this training mission at the point when you are supposed to use the slave button. I press that button on my HOTAS but the mission will not proceed. Why?n

Using Joystick Gremlin to convert rudder axis to toe brakes

DCS-ExportScripts for Stream Deck Community Github Library

skypickle For the most part, I prefer the use of Helios as the profile sets forth most of your controls on your second screen without having to look down and press several buttons. Unfortunately, a good Helios profile takes a lot of time to do so supplementing it with a Steamdeck profile solves the missing commands, etc. -
MFG Crosswind now offers damper kits for their pedals

dburne I am sorry for your health condition as I have experienced the beginnings of nephropathy and found my old CH pedals impossible to enable me to control the Apache. -

Thanks for the response. I know about the VKB and gave them serious thought, but they have no damper for helicopter use. -
MFG Crosswind now offers damper kits for their pedals
sobe replied to dburne's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am probably going to buy the crosswinds with the damper kit in order to fly helicopters. My question is, will the damper hold the pedals in position and not return the pedals to center? This is important in trying to trim the DCS Apache. If you have used the damper kit in flying helicopters, what cam and springs did you use? -
Use voice attack and do 3 commands or use RSMapper.
-
Attach your monitor config file.

I am buying new rudder pedals that do not have toe brakes. While I have never used Vjoy/joystick gremblin to any great extent, since both rudder pedals and toe brakes use axis commands, I was wondering if by pressing a button on my HOTAS, I could some how covert the rudder axis to the left and right toe brakes. Thoughts?

Streamdeck Plugin with DCS BIOS beta

What is the advantage to using DCS-BIOS with the streamdeck? -
Has anyone taken the springs out of the CH rudder/pedals?
sobe replied to sobe's topic in CH Products
sokol1_br Since you indicated that even without the springs, the pedals will not remain stationary, I think I will not remove the springs (at least for now). Could you please explain by what you meant by: "* Although this means remove more screws, if start be remove pedals pads, and then remove the upper part of the case, the steel rollers of the pedal sliding mechanism will not fall apart. " See attached pic. -
Streamdeck Plugin with DCS BIOS beta
sobe replied to ctytler's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
ctytler I am a little confused. I checked and I seem to be running DCS-Bios 0.7.41. Do I uninstall that version and install DCSFLIGHTPANELS DCS-BIOS? Can I run both? Does your DCS streamdeck plugin work with either version? Do I still use the ExportScripts folder with DCS-Bios 0.7.41? -

ctytler what do you mean by "(If using the DCS-flightpanels fork version)"? -
I am flying helicopters and would like to take the springs out of the rudder system so the rudder pedals stay in place when I move them. Has anyone done this and if so, how was it?

I just wanted to verify that the only difference between the 3 versions of the VPC Ace collections, flight and interceptor pedals is the foot rests. Other than that, the pedals are the same. Correct? I am also considering the VPC ACE-Torq Pedals. As I already own Virpil gear, I would prefer these pedals over similar pedals made by VKG. However, I do have a question and that is-do you know if Virpil considering developing software like T-Link that VKG has for its pedals?

Stream Deck XL - AH-64D Profile v.01b Released
sobe replied to Toni Carrera's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have double confirmed that by itself, DCS, Streamdeck, the Apache profile, DCS-bios, the exportscripts stuff and Helios work alone. It is only when I combine all the forgoing and Helios that neither Helios nor the Streamdeck work. -
K-51 Please PM me on this rudder mod. Does it change anything on the toe brakes?

Toni There is an old saying in the flight sim community: it is the man not the pedals that make a pilot. I was hoping for the opposite with the Apache. -

Toni Carrera No joy in admin mode. In the Streamdeack app, I can see the DCS Interface and its subcontrols listed on the right side of the app so I assume that it is properly installed and I know that Helios works so I am at a loss.
