Hi, I have run across this problem myself but for other reasons, My altitude being to high and even though I can laser lock I could not get a "C" for missle release even when the circles were lined up, what I did was on the weapons panel in front of the cyclic I put it in manual mode, tilted the bird with director flight mode to get the circles close and fired the missile, I am averaging about 98% hit rate doing it this way. Good hunting.

I was in the local hobby store the other day and found a model with a picture on the front of the box that looked like the BS rotor system mounted on a LHX airframe. Is this for real or just a fantasy model? :huh: Image45.jpg

Yes exactly If it says you are on the Battery Bus it means you are running on batteries only, I'm sure in the real manual something akin to the Navy NATOPS there is instruction for the pilot to make an immediate landing, I hope we can also get the emergency manual for this bird some day. Imagine your 4000 feet in the air and your alternator quits leaving you with enough battery power for only a couple of minutes before your headlights go out. :lol:

Thats fine when you are shooting from a distance, but if you have to get in close to some trees to find and take out triple A or a Sam you might want to get real quick with the HMS system.:joystick:

Yes I was flying online the other day coop and at wp7 on the map I was up to 4k meters, out of range of AAA and searched them out in the trees with the Shkval, locked one up and took him out with missile, the other I locked up and passed off to another team member in better position to get.

GO TO FRYS I was at FRYS in City of Industry [LA] yesterday and they have X52 sticks in the box on the shelf for $47 :smilewink:

OAT Guage If you look at the overhead in back of the roof window you will see a outside air temp gauge there. I do not know if it actually is functional or not. Since we know what the temp is by other means it is really not needed.

Thanks for the correction, I am guessing from how some US choppers operate, so the APU only provides bleed air for starting,ok. i am use to it running an accessory gear box, running generators and hyd pumps to provide functions. Sorry for miss-leading guys

In the BlackShark folder list at the bottom is a temp folder, in that folder you will find an error log.

Hi, Shutdown procedures would start with something like- 1.Start APU to provide elect power,fire warn,and comms with twr & grnd. 2.Shutdown engines. 3.Apply rotor brake at a proper % 4.Shutdown all Nav systems then shut down radios, lights and any switches remaining on. 5.Shutdown the APU 6 Shutdown the battery or external power last. In real life this is called "Hot Pitting" or performing a "hot pit" , it works great in the sim, the only thing is if you leave the selector on Hon when you move the helo maint guys will be yelling at you even after the bird had been refueled and /or rearmed, so turn the selector to something else before you lift back off.:joystick:

Yes!, I will be flying helo's taking out the SAM trash and screaming for aircover from the enemy fighters :D

Thank you, I'll give this a try,however with all the conversion going on I'm sure in BS it will cost dearly when it nukes the frame rate.

Does it really matter when you are up to elbows in warnings trying to dodge triple A and Sams?

No Joy Hi, Well I tried so don't the rest of you waste your time. I put in the extra card, it uses the same driver so that's all good. But because it is a separate card when I tried to span horizontally across all monitors it would not let me, it always sees the 8600 card as a lone monitor and when I try to include it the entire works reverts back to independent view every time. What I could do is do the dual monitor setup and have the third monitor to surf on the web while I am waiting to get somewhere at 250 clicks or perhaps do a work spreadsheet at the same time and that will not help me in BS at all. So I guess when I get rich or rob a bank I'll buy a triple head to go and give it a try. Thanks for your responses.:book:

I do not want to run them in SLI, what I want it to have BS set up on 3 monitors. My 8800gt card only has a connection for 2 monitors so I need to put another card in my system to be able to connect 3 monitors. BS is suppose to be able to show Shkval on the left , camera1 {cockpit} on the middle and the Abris on the right monitor. I'm just wondering how it will all work?

Ok, I have a 8800GT video card with the 2 monitor setup right now working. I want to add the 3rd monitor on the right for the Abris. I have an extra 8600gt video card. Will it work to stick it in the other video slot on my board and hook a monitor up to it? I do have a SLI board so there is a slot I am not using. Or does the card have to be another 8800GT card? Awesome? Yes I would say it is, I have been playing version 1.0 for over 60 hours on a midrange machine including single player and multiplayer and have not been hindered from having fun by a major bug or CTD one time yet, for a sim of this complexity that is really awesome!:thumbup:

Common Hydraulic System? The manual references a common Hydraulic system, having worked on helicopters for over 16 years is the correct translation Utility hydraulic System? or is it indeed labled by the manufacturer as a common hyd system?

Try finding information on the KA-50 on the net. It is like this bird is still a secret except for the basic info like speed, Hover ceiling and stuff like that. I am surprised Ed was allowed to do what they have done. The quality of the Abris and radios could be used to train pilots transitioning into the BS.

Me too, but i'm usaslly so busy with other activity I have llearned to ignore it.
