Yes agreed! That was a much needed improvement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If you’ve updated, go into the mission editor and create a basic mission and place the P51D-25 as the airplane. As far as I know there’s no way to access the new modal from the main menu, you will need a mission or get on a server that has it as an option. SOW on the Caucuses map online has some. P-51-25-NA/P-51-30-NA No he’s not, 150 octane mustangs will run 75” manifold pressure. Not 61” or WEP at 67”. There is zero difference between the -25 & -30. It’s all cosmetic, they even weight the exact same down to the pound even after removing the iff system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

P-51-25-NA/P-51-30-NA No, according to NineLine’s post today you are incorrect. There will be another P51 variant with 150 octane gas coming later. Believe me if we would have gotten a 150 octane Pony today I would be singing ED’s praises from the roof tops. All we got today was cosmetic on the exact same aircraft we already had. That’s incorrect, the 150 octane variant is coming in the future Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

P-51-25-NA/P-51-30-NA Yes this!!!! It’s the same plane down to the pound, zero difference just a new dress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Are you running stable or open beta? If open beta it’s possible that one of you are updating before the other one. If your DCS worlds are not the same version you can run into this issue. Other then that, double check that your IP address that you are using is static or reserved in your modem settings. Sometimes modems will rotate or shuffle the IP address each time you connect to the internet. I ran into this issue and had the same problem. If that’s occurring it could explain why it works one day and not the next. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Serious FPS loss when firing the cannons?
Campbell replied to Campbell's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Ok thanks, this is a problem for me with the 190 and it makes it pretty unplayable. Does this mod pass the IC check? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Need a little more info- what altitude are you at? Is this a created mission or multiplayer? Yes, you should be able to catch the B17 with no issues. Is your mixture set to run? And do you have the carburetor air control handles forward? (That’s the two levers just above the flaps lever on the left) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Hosting My First Mission You will need to go into multiplayer, then at the bottom select the middle option “new server”. Then once the new server screen comes up, fill the info in on the top left side (that will be server name and you want a pass word, player limit and your public ip. etc... The right side of the screen is called the “mission list”. At the bottom of the right side select the + symbol, that will open a window for you to load the mission. So navigate to your created mission location, select it, then select ok. If done correctly you should see your custom mission added to the mission list (top right). Once you see that, then select “start” in the lower right corner. That will start your server, once it’s loaded up- Tell your team mate the server name, they should be able to go into multiplayer and see it in the list. Select it, join and have fun. If he doesn’t see it at first tell him to refresh a couple time. Also very important MAKE SURE YOUR BOTH RUNNING THE SAME RELEASE VERSION. You can check that on the main screen in the lower right corner after you first load up DCS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Hold up! I was the one flying that 190 and I’m the one that took the picture. Yo Yo is using video’s to illustrate flying with a minimal wing. That’s fine and dandy, in each illustration those are crippled planes limped back to the ground. What you don’t see in the 190 pic is that I wasn’t limping home. No I was doing 600km/h and still able to maneuver and fight. That’s far different from any of those videos. Same MP flying session, 190 with single elevator 100% combat effective no negative effect to maneuvering. Got any videos for that? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I fly VR and only experience this with the 190 but whenever I fire the guns the FPS takes a nose dive and looking forward becomes a stuttering mess. Anyone else have this issue or maybe some advice to remedy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Awesome! Does anyone know if this passes the Integrity Check? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That would have been 11 kills in 5hrs of flight time so roughly 2 per flight hour. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the label mod. It was way easier, I would like to have it back but sense we don’t have it we have to adapt. I’m sure Eekz is working hard to come up with something but ED is working against him with their constant updates and changes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

=BURNING SKIES= WWII Server Really??? I’m ranked in the top 10 in the championships and finished ranked 10th last month with no labels. Hum... how was that possible??? I do agree, some have more issues then others, but there are plenty of guys with very high kill numbers. How is it they find guys to engage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think the mission is fine, I actually liked the previous one better. I don’t find the mission to be to big at all, I have no problem finding guys and engaging. It seems like some of you just want fields the be 20nm apart so you can fly straight at each other and scrap (ala air quake). Talk about boring and not having a purpose! There’s plenty of others sims that do that, DCS doesn’t have to be one of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

=BURNING SKIES= WWII Server While I agree with some previous made points. I’m to a point to where having no labels in VR doesn’t really bother me (it’s harder for sure). I’ve compared spotting in VR to spotting in real life and the current no label setup is pretty realistic. Spotting a flight of multiple aircraft is far easier then finding a single target. However, the idea of colored targets is a no go, that’s flat out arcade and Burning Skies has always been a full real WW2 server. The label mod has always helped with spotting. I think it really helps the (4K Monitor) players and was also a help to VR. Like DF I wish we could just go back to what was there, but we have to work with what we’ve got. I’m also kinda of perplexed by some of these post, I get spotting is difficult but I’m still seeing players stats with posts of 10+ to 20+ kills??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

=BURNING SKIES= WWII Server Nope your doing nothing wrong, there is no radio to communicate over. [emoji6] Most flyers use third party comms programs like Discord or Team Speak. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

=BURNING SKIES= WWII Server After trying the new visual mod today, I agree, Id’ing is very difficult in VR, it was with the old visual mod and still is with the current visual mod. 2d and zoom simply have the advantage due to sharpness, there’s nothing that has changed! As was stated you need to turn the labels off to id, I don’t think there’s any way around that at the moment. While the mod is better then no mod, I didn’t find that it really does much in the way of spotting. It’s set to activate so close that I’m picking planes up with my eyes before it renders. I think it needs to be set to render out to at least 5 nm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Use your nickname in multiplayer, that’s what everybody else will see on the server scoreboard, it’s also what GCI will see if you have a human AWAC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Even if the label mod is fixed do guys really want to go back to it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

You are correct! ED totally bonked all the label mods because at the moment you can’t enforce labels changes server side anymore. Any change made server side will simply be over written by DCS world. Why ED changed this is beyond me. A few of us have been trying to find a work around but unfortunately nothing has worked or will until ED gives us back the ability to enforce the labels in the .lua Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The comms have to be setup in the mission editor for the establish channels on the radio. I.e channel A,B,C,D. However I’ve only seen them used in single player missions. None of the WW2 multiplayer servers that I’m familiar with utilize the comms at all, no one communicates with a tower, you just have to look and use caution before taking the runway or landing. Hope that answers your question. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

+1 but I’m afraid we ask for to much. Their just putting some new makeup on the old gal to try and make her look a little younger. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thats correct Eekz, I’m pretty sure the new label selections that ED added broke the label Mod. also the non dot- dot label (^) is color coded. Why they couldn’t add a non colored label selection is beyond me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
