Oh believe me I really want it so the entirety of my pit can be useable! But I think we won’t be seeing it for quite some time.

I am using Mustangs 2.7 Shader Edits, found in the Mod section.

I think we should have gotten the Big E and Nimitz, they provide a much larger range of scenario for what is coming to DCS.

How has your progress been with this Hawkeye?

Well VF-2 at that timeframe was an east coast squadron, as all Tomcats were at that point. So technically all the pictures you have attached are of East coast squadrons. I believe I heard it in an interview with Okie Nance that he states it was an East Coast thing and something about West Coast being better pilots, though that can naturally put that down as more bravado than pure fact.

But this goes back to the point that both aplenwolf and I are trying to make, DCS is not remotely trying to create a world or scenario where things fit within their respected place give or take a year. I think many people get it twisted in by thinking that because all ‘Cold War gone hot’ scenarios are fictional that it means the systems and weapons within can be anachronistic. For example currently for the 80’s we have only the F-5, 37 and FC3. Everything else does not fit within the timeframe. I mean we currently don’t even have a map that is pre 2008, the Falklands map is my most anticipated map because it’s truly going to give us somewhere set within a timeframe that supports 80’s Cold War.

All of their skins realistically are off by quite some mark, if it weren't for some very talented artists in the community I wouldn't be aware of the many inaccuracies. I really don't know what any of Reflected's skins haven't been added yet,

Funnily enough though, all the aircraft you have mention apart from the MiG's will be their late in production and service life variants, so in part we will always get the latest of an aircraft in DCS, rather than what they were in initial production or early in their service lives. The A-6E, A-7E and F-8J which realistically are all out of the Rolling Thunder timeframe, with both the 6E/7E being out of Vietnam completely. So no, we still don't have a realistic complete set of aircraft for any timeframe. Heck even our current F-14A doesn't fit within any coldwar scenario.

They’re both F-14D’s, from what I’ve read removing the doors was on a squadron to squadron basis and was more of an east coast thing to do.

Does anyone have a back up of this mod they can share with me? I can't fly without it in VR for the performance increases it gives you and I have accidentally deleted it!

Any chance we could make it 1930 Zulu, I may be the only Aus bloke flying, but that extra half hour when it's 5AM helps. Whereas I'm sure everyone else won't mind it being that little bit later?
