  1. Just curious, when we get those consequences added will the effects on the pilot be added similar to how Deka have done within the JF-17?
  2. Bloody awesome to have! I would love to also have an 80’s Iowa to fit within the Preying Mantis timeframe within the Gulf!
  3. Boy is it a challenge to match the TPS Grey tones, all refence pictures naturally paint it in a different tone with each different picture. Nor do I think that FS 35237/36370 work very well within sim to best represent how sitting on the flight deck matures these cats. Anyway, back to more testing and work.
  4. Have a look at where his eye level is, nearly higher than the hand hold bar. Whereas in DCS your eye height would be up to his chin.
  5. Fair dinkum you’re right. They’ve never had an issue or missed a deadline they’ve set, they’re bloody awesome. I reckon I was in the wrong, should never have mentioned anything other than absolute praise for HB, amazing patch as usual. Wish they’d make their own sim and dominate the market with their unparalleled quality!
  6. I can’t stress this enough, something VR users are able to take full benefit of! I do sympathise to the issues faced on 2D, but can’t really see any better way than how HB have already implemented it.
  7. C’mon mate, did you read what we’ve all said? No one has questioned how hard development is, nor has anyone here questioned the teams dedication to an amazing product. We’re talking about your timelines and how they are presented to your customers. The phrases mentioned in the post above are frequently used in updates leading to a false sense in confidence with how things are being handled, you haven’t addressed this and what I’m asking is if you could tone down your community timelines and be much more truthful in expected dates. Yes I was asking, as you have continually teased the near completion of the Forrestal for over a year. But alas now I shall wait another two months and ask again.
  8. This perfectly sums up my sentiment with HB currently, I know all the possible replies people will have in defence of them, but please do not take this as an attack. But rather I’d just love to see my favourite developer stop putting their foot in their mouths every month and just say that they’re a while off and need a lot more time with things to ease any pressure they put on themselves.
  9. I’ll start by saying congratulations on squashing that pesky crash bug, glad you guys were able to get that done for us and from my testing it’s gone! But I’ll also be that bloke and ask, surely we must be seeing the Forrestal soon? Since it’s slated along with Jester LANTIRN as being in the ‘Next Major Patch’, is that term used like a pseudo ‘two weeks’ now? Seems these features just keep slipping further and further away.
  10. I don't think the Sparrowhawk reached the fleet until 2002, so all standard pits until then for all squadrons.

I remember reading somewhere that the SPO has a 30° azimuth detection limit from the aircrafts ADL on nearly all aircraft it is on, meaning that it won't detect a Phoenix or AMRAAM in its terminal phase of flight. Though I'd love for someone to quickly correct me on my foggy and rather lazy research!
  13. I assume you're not playing in VR then? Seems the F-14 cockpit is a great example of where VR is far more intuitive compared to a monitor. As I find in VR you have amazing visibility and the jail bars have never obscured my view, whereas in 2D they're very obstructive and you see many people complain about one of the Tomcats strengths.
  14. If anything, you actually sit a little too low for what you see when sitting in a Tomcat. You do sit very far forward in the Tomcat though.ough.
  15. I'm starting work on what I haven't seen represented yet, the filthy and grimy cats of VF-2's 1987 Cruise. These are just early tests and will need much more detail with salt and sun burn added to them.
  16. So 107 had an anti glare nose? Wonder why no depiction has show it like this until now? Awesome work as usual mate, you've ruined other Tomcat skins for me with your attention to detail that I see lacking in not only my own but others attempts!

  18. I'm in absolute awe with what this mod has done to DCS for me! SS at 1.2 looks intensely sharp in the G2, to the point for certain F-14 skins look utterly photorealistic. I really hope the word gets out to more VR users as this allows you to tone down both DCS and SteamVR setting while improving the saturation and sharpness of the image, just bloody incredible this is!!
  19. Invisible in VR you say? I have a G2 and on the default brightness, it is the same luminosity as the sun. Seriously bewildered as to how you think it's almost invisible.
  20. This is a must have, something that become very noticeable in VR is how poorly collimated sights look. Everything else jumps with a realistic feel except how poorly ED have modelled the glow and loss of fidelity a HUD has when nearing the edge of it's focal point.
