  1. Those poor Cruisers! Greatest car I've ever owned is my 75, I don't think I can bring myself to reducing them to ash with a GBU-24. Great looking models with the 75 series, though I think a lot of what you see in Syria and whatnot are now all 79 series Cruisers.
  2. Looks bloody unreal mate! Hope these are ready for the Forrestal shakedown cruise I'm preparing for the 14th!
  3. Can you guys double and triple check that this doesn’t happen to the Forrestal in a months time!
  4. It would be great if we could get some idea on when we can get all the keyboard bindings finished for the Tomcat so we can make full use of our pits, cheers!
  5. Looks bloody unreal mate, I’m really starting to feel obsolete with my attempts, certainly can’t compete against a computer when it comes to this accuracy!
  6. The quality of this is really looking great!
  7. This is actually the strike group that is supported by Nimitz, Foch and Saratoga that gets hit in Red Storm Rising, just need these ships and a GIUK map!
  8. I actually believe that the SparrowHawk was considered to be the superior HUD compared to the Kaiser.
  9. Well something I’m trying to work on and well and truly welcome more to try, is doing realistic weathered F-14’s. It’s something that no one has been able to properly replicate yet and would love to see your attempted such as VF-2 1986-87 or VF-41 1988-91 had some very dirty birds.
  10. Join the club Alpen, it’ll really spice up DCS and bring in a breath of fresh air for you.
  11. I will say, that the Reverb G2 has a higher resolution than my monitor, so that one day is pretty much now for graphical parity. The visuals are stunning in it and I’ve come across a re/shade preset for VR that sharpens DCS to really amazing levels.
  12. I must admit seeing all these 3D printed and laser cut panels it’s making want to entirely re-do my pit to get to the quality of these guys, seems like the hammer and saw just isn’t up to it anymore haha!
  13. Sure thing, it's my 'Thief Of Baghdad' attempt: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315420/
  14. You won't see many people touch things that ED have long winded plans to update, as it very well could be a waste in money and time. That's why there really isn't any updated mods to AI we already have within sim.
  15. Absolutely adore your work Rick! Any chance of you doing historical skins for the Turkey in the future?
  16. Exactly this, I'm quite sure how my message was being missed. Honestly the pros and cons of VR and TIR level one another out realistically, that's why I find it so funny when people complain about minor advantages VR gives or the lack of 'realism' despite both being massively present in how TIR works. Either fixed both or don't do anything to current VR implementation. What is far more ugly and awkward from experience in other sims is the jarring and brain-disconnecting feeling when leaning forward or sideways and you are blocked within the cockpit.
  17. Both of those pictures demonstrate how hard it is for a pilot to contort their body around to get a clear view behind them, both have their hands off the throttle and have used the canopy to leverage themselves around. DCS has a terrible implementation when it comes to how TIR functions and it’s quite humorous of you to say that it can’t be implemented in a game yet here we are debated placing limits on VR users?
  18. I think people who are largely clipping through pits are playing on swivel chairs where it is very easy to move off your axis. If you have a fixed chair and keep your shoulders somewhat squared, as they would be when strapped to an ejection seat, it’s very hard to clip from the cockpit.
  19. This has been done to death with oh how realistic DCS is trying to be, people need to stop playing this trumpet. When are they going to model neck pains for the F-16? Or having to use a piddle pack when nature calls? Aircraft are simulated to a very high fidelity yes, but beyond that DCS is a long way from being realistic in many aspects. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to get there in a very long time either. I would counter point that TrackIR gives an unrealistic ability to move your head and observe all around you with minimal effort. Whereas when in a fixed seat it’s somewhat difficult to look over your shoulder in VR. I think this option should be added, but I’d like to similarly see TrackIR be limited to a realistic aspect also.
  20. Sorry but here's another screenshot dump.
