Now they're completely gone in 2.7.2.

Cheers mate, this is literally all what we’re asking for. It’s not a critique on your overall sound design, which I think we’ve all got praise for. Contextually we are talking about the sound file mentioned above.
-
This is what all of us have largely been talking about, yet both IM and Cobra have either taken this a some personal attack on their sound design or that we're complaining about the entire cockpit soundscape rather than the one nuanced sound we've all mentioned.

Barthek's CAUCASUS REDONE 2022
Gunslinger22 replied to Barthek's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Yeah bloody unreal Barthek! I have been spreading the good word of your masterpiece to anyone whom is willing to listen. I think you've pushed the Caucasus to it's absolute limits. -
Curious to how you think it fits well? Was is stated by your SMEs that there is a perfectly rhythmic musical tone present in the cockpit throughout all phases of flight and throttle setting? Sadly for me and it seems some others that it really pulls you alway from the wonderful sounds, while exaggerated, that you have present in the Tomcat.
-
Hmmm, yet I’ve heard all of his refueling phrases and will constantly hear the same phrases multiple times within a flight. I think many of these voice files are actually unused.
-
I thought this was a bad carry over from the Viggen, glad someone else had brought this up!

Where the parachute pack is + the gear they wear means you’re actually sitting off quite a bit where the headrest is, you need to lean back awkwardly to place it on the rest.
-
The default VR position is very accurate from my limited knowledge, it actually has you sitting a little low, but this is obviously adjustable.
-
Hey mate, looks great! For the parachute pack, I used chipboard for the back and top. Then for the complex curves at the bottom I simple flashed around the sides with some colorbond I had left over. You could probably use some lead flashing also, which would be just as easy to mould. Word of advice also for the seat, really ensure you've got a great and light cushion for the seat pan or else you'll struggle on some longer flights. I had to redesign mine, though luckily my design had room for improvement because the pans lid comes off so I can get to where I installed my buttkicker.
-
Well done mate, it really looks great. I love the lighting, must really add to the atmosphere. How do you find having multiple bass shakers? I’ve only got one under the seat and find that it doesn’t quite give me enough feedback to be warranted, though multiple must really do the trick?
-
It is not awkward to use at all, with my simpit you simply just bump it back or forward, though under high G duress it may be harder, though I doubt many pilots complained about it.

Air refueling with cheap and dying TWS rudders : is it possible?
Gunslinger22 replied to Sylosis's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
There are people whom will refuel the F-14 with mouse and keyboard, so these questions largely are always based around, what are ‘your’ abilities? But AAR is all about your formation flying, if you can fly wing you can AAR. This will apply for all aircraft. -
Multicrew PAL & VSL Low Symbology is Skippy
Gunslinger22 replied to benteyebrows's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I will concur on this behaviour, though I’d just put it down to it being desynchronisation between the two clients and where the radar is looking. -
Yeah fairdinkum, who am I to ask for evidence when someone makes accusations. I really need to stop my bullying ways, oh and please continue to send all tracks files to me, so I can have a gander under the hood and fix all of the problems DCS has.
-
Boy would I love to see some trackfiles of this. Strange that you never provide any evidence for you claims.
-
Oh trust me, not for a second do I actually think the 54 had some special IR seeker, I just find it amazing that I have read or heard someone bring it up before, because what a unicorn that would be haha!
-
I wish we could get you as the Phoenix seeker, it would never give up and would be impossible to ditch. You’re certainly willing to die on your hill, aren’t you.
-
Where else have I read this! It might have even been a Tom Clancy book, but it’s not the first time someone has whispered the holy words of the Phoenix having a terminal IR seeker! Heck I don’t know how Clancy got so much details on the 688 right, but not sure if he’s to be trusted as much with things like NAVAIR.
-
Nah fairdinkum never realised? That’s bizarre, hope everyone is doing well.

I am not remotely supporting what he has said, or his overall rhetoric, but surely people cannot just keep turning a blind faithful eye away from the fact that HB has not maintained any of their deadlines set. I love their products and will always support their amazing work. But surely people cannot keep just allowing this to go unspoken?
-
Yet all known information you can find on the C Phoenix will tell you that it was the missile of choice for nimble fighters, bigger motor and speed = better against a tightly turning opponent.
-
How does this myth of the Tomcat only being designed around being a bomber interceptor keep getting propagated? It was designed for fleet defence, which entails all threats, including the nimblest of fighters.
-
Yes, the Tomcat will be feature complete by the end of March.
