  1. In my mission editor, all the units of the russian asset pack are listed two times. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm experiencing crashes lately in a mission where I use it and don't know if this might be the reason.
  2. So far I dont have any problems when running this mod. Did you put it into the saved games/DCS/mods/tech folder?
  3. Oh man, thanks so much for all the work. You're putting out so much great quality stuff that really improves our sim, just great. I almost have a guilty conscience asking / suggesting if you plan to make an insurgents pack, especially for infantry / light artillery / light AAA. For example, I love to place your Dshk on hilltops on the Afghanistan Map, but it would be so great if it was manned by an insurgent. The insurgent RPG guy from vanilla DCS also has come to age, I don't know if he even has animations. Also some light machine gun carrying troops would be great. Some years ago there was a light AAA mod someone made, but it stopped working. Using ZPU-1 instead of the mighty ZU-23 really would make for some challenging, but diversified missions. For vehicles, there's of course the Counter Insurgency Mod which is awesome, and ED has provided us with some pickup units.

  5. I understand the question more in a way if AI controlled Aircraft now can fire Mavericks (which they could not for a while now).
  6. Second that. More artillery units would be great - I've read it was a quite common load for a Chinook to carry a slingloaded howitzer, a ten-man crew plus some ammo.
  7. That would also be a wish from my side. I know the changelog says the city textures have been improved, but I still think the cities could look better. I have the impression that in order to see some details on the houses, you have to get extremely close - you wouldnt wanna be there, even in a helicopter. From higher altitudes, the cities remind me a bit of those early Google Earth 3D-buildings without textures. They all seem to have the same color and to be really smooth - great for performance, I guess, but a reason why I rather fly over desert than over cities on the Sinai map. That being said, I really like the update you put out

  11. Could you pleeeease fix the slingloading, ED? The chinook is out, everyones crazy about cargo operations, but the slingloading still is really bugged. Seems at least some of the behaviour was reported many months ago:
  12. It definitely is not the weight. As soon as I'm hooked, rope isn't even tightened, the cargo "crashes" without being lifted at all. I don't know if other helos are affected or if it is a Chinook problem.
  13. can confirm. Some other slingloads are affected too.
  14. Now, with the Afghanistan map released, an MG emplacement for the Insurgents faction would be really great. It would be strange to place the pickup on a mountain ridge.
  15. Downloaded you Humvee pack and I love it @Eight Ball. Thanks a lot for your great work. With the Chinook out, how great would the effort be to add those Vehicles as cargo version or create a model stripped down for transprt? It would be great to be able to slingload and internally carry those wonderful looking Humvees.
  16. For me, some of the cargos are not displayed any more, for example the Hummer. Some are displayed, but don't show up as cargo, like the sandbax box or the UH-1 weapons. Which is a pity, because they are so great to load into the new chinook. Any chance this Mod gets an update? I don't know too much about this mod's structure, but it seems to me the Hmvee only has a collision file in the current version, at least I don't see a LODS or EDM file in there @upuaut.
  17. For me, the fps killers seem to be on the outside. When experiencing a lag, I paused, zoomed in the view and looked at the FPS changing in relation to where I looked. On te inside, I still got about 40 fps - when looking outside (nothing special happening there, no smoke, explosions or something like that) I got 7 fps. After a little while, everything went back to normal. The chinook is the only aircraft where this happens .
  18. I love Barthek's "Caucasus Redone" and Taz' "Better Trees", both make the standard map stunningly beautiful. As a Tomcat guy, I also love the EA-6B Prowler by VSN and Eightballs Seaking as well as the "Cold War Assets" mod by Tripod3. Also Massung 92's work is great, it was so cool that they decided to make many of them a part of the core game.

  20. With the Chinook, I get FPS-drops now and then - it happens quite suddenly, without any obvious reason and then the frame drop to 7 or worse.
  21. I use Steam, have my reasons for it, and that's the first time a new module is not available a couple hours later. I'm really disappointed that theres not one word of explanation by ED about it.

  24. It's not a script I did, I use simple triggers in mission editor. There's a script though that I really liked, however I encountered some error messages in missions where I used it. But if you wanna try it out:
  25. Can't wait to try out the EF-111. Thanks a lot for your work! In my opinion, the Aardvaark is one of the most beautiful jets of all times. It's so huge but still elegant. The EF-111 will be a lot of fun as a support asset for SEAD missions. I know there are scripts emulating EW, my approach is to deactivate the launchers of a SAM site via triggers whenever the jamming aircraft is in a trigger zone. By making the zone a bit smaller or shaping it oddly, there's still a chance a missile might come up, so it doesn't get too easy for the jets tasked with taking out the site.
