In the previews for the Sinai map, it can be seen that SAM sites are marked with symbols on the F10 / Mission editor map. Since the syria map also includes some beautiful SAM sites, it would be great to have that as a feature, too.

Better Smoke V22 for DCS 2.9
Tomcatter87 replied to Taz1004's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Yeah, I think the update kinda broke some effects of the mod. Flew a JTAC mission yesterday, the WP markers had giant fireballs inside. -
I'm looking forward to the ability to control the elements of the "Forge". As someone who also creates videos, including shots in cockpit view, it's important for me to have that control. Also if I create missions set in the earlier tomcat days (since we dont have the early A variant yet), it is a bit of an immersion breaker if the jet looks like it has reached the end of its lifespan. I get that some / maybe even many Tomcats might have looked like that after some time, still I'd like to be able to have control over elements like that. I also hope that you find ways to implement it into the mission editor - not via writing arguments into LUA files.

Thanks a lot for this great looking mod! @rato65 You posted some screenshots of a grey USMC huey. Is there a compatible livery around and how do I get the grey Twin huey intakes? I also love the fact that this mod is compatible to the other huey attachments. I noticed that - at least for me - the flex cam seems to hover in the air next to the helo, all other attachments are working fine.

Feedback Thread F-14 Tomcat - Update 10th March 2023

Is there a way to influence which dynamic cockpit elements are shown (or not shown)? -
Really looking forward to the FM fine tuning and the slick looks of a pylon-free cat. The custom cockpits aren't really on my priority list, but as I said, the other stuff is going to be nice.

So, eight months after the first report, this is still happening. Could you please look at it, @IronMike and Heatblur team? -
Feedback Thread F-14 Tomcat - Update 24th Jan. 2023
Tomcatter87 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Just made a cold start again - you're absolutely right. Seems my Head was so in RIO mode that I wondered why the heck Jester doesn't type hectically like I would have done. Was it real life procedure to wait with the INS alignment till both engines were running? -

Gonna check that one. The Tomcat is my main module - but maybe I'm confused with all that RIO stuff in my head. -
Feedback Thread F-14 Tomcat - Update 24th Jan. 2023
Tomcatter87 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
He hasnt done anything - if the left engine is running and I switch to the back seat, nothing back there is done. He doesnt even put the WCS into standby. If however, during my pilot startup procedure, I switch to the back seat and turn the WCS on standby for him, he'll align everything just like I'm used to . It might be a coincidence, but I just started to learn the RIO procedures - dont know if that might have triggered a bug. But that doesnt happen in just one, but several of my cold start missions. -
Iirc someone pointed out that the skin shown there was never really put in operational Tomcats. But I second your wish for a Jolly Rogers skin. Since we have the Theodore Roosevelt carrier, which they were deployed on quite a bit, a paint scheme from the late 80s would be great. @Reflected made great liveries from that era, maybe it's possible to include them in the core game - along with VF-41, their sister squadron.

Feedback Thread F-14 Tomcat - Update 24th Jan. 2023
Tomcatter87 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
He does nothing. No ICS alignment, no entering waypoints. If I do his work for him and do the RIO startup procedure and then switch back to the pilot seat, he's typing wildly, I get the feeling that hes redoing my work -
Feedback Thread F-14 Tomcat - Update 24th Jan. 2023
Tomcatter87 replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
After the latest update, for me sometimes Jester gets stuck in the alignment on the carrier. First he responds, we do the ICS comm check, he then says "allright, ready to start" - and does nothing then. If I switch to the backseat, the WCS is still off, no cooling selected, his ejection seat is not armed. He closes the canopy, though. That never happened before, so I post it in the patch fedback. -

Is there any news concerning the Yak? I recently placed Harriers in a pseudo-soviet paintscheme on the Kuznetsov, but your Yak-38 would be much better.

But the wingman STILL lowers the flaps with swept wings.
