Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
Skyspin replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
Plain and simple it doesn't work right. Certainly wasn't this way in "real life".. Basically there's always going to be some crosswind if not straight down a runway then blowing some cross ways from the parking spot on an airfield. If it was this bad in real life then the plane would not have been test flown from the start until it could taxi like any other plane. -
Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking

No taxing improvement after today's update. The Spitfire, the Mustang, the P-47, and even the Mosquito all taxi fine but cannot keep the Corsair under control, especially on an airfield with a crosswind component. On the carrier deck with 30 knots of relative wind there's no problem making small adjustments for a straight launch but on a land airfield it's almost impossible to maneuver like the above mentioned aircraft. -
Requesting the addition of moving and walking AI for realistic base staff and support crews. If the skins of walking infantry carrying rifles could be changed to ground crew without the weapons it would be fantastic to make more realistic flight line activity. This would then look like a more natural tarmac environment with air support and maintenance crews doing their job in and around parked aircraft instead of what some campaign missions have which are Army guys marching across the flight line.

Still it would be great if we could get an update on progress, "albeit any" on the Naval version of the F-4, whatever version from Heatblur. Sincerely, Skyspin

No. We need a South East Asia map. (VIETNAM).

Too small of an area. Needs to be expanded to cover all of South Vietnam to most of the Mekong Delta, a large part of Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos and even more of North Vietnam extending out to the South China Sea. If done this size it would cover the "same area as the new KOLA map being developed now". For such an important historical map there's no need to skimp on area. So much was conducted to the south that it all must be included.. Skyspin (342 days "in country")

I compared the total area of the upcoming KOLA map with a Southeast Asia map comprising all of North and South Vietnam, most of Laos, and a large section of Thailand and they are nearly identical in total area dimensions...

Looking forward to a CASE 3 recovery in the South China Sea after an air sweep over Hanoi and Haiphong.

Preordered. Looking forward to flying in Storm of War,,,! Skyspin

I feel your pain! I've uploaded several missions and mission scenarios with multiple missions included and especially in the Normandy and Channel maps there is so much potential with the inclusion of trains for targeting and mission strategy. It's easy to tell that a lot of work has gone into the development of the trains and associated equipment including stations, rail yards, port facilities with railroad terminals and the like. Just a pity that this magnificent feature cannot be accessed and utilized. We really appreciate DCS and all that's been done in this area but I for one cannot understand why it (meaning the use of trains in multi player ) cannot be implemented. Sincerely, Skyspin
