  1. This is the one thing I hate about the spitfire module. Its so easy to instantly black out in negative g. And when you do you stay black screened for a long time. That and the wings being torn off very easily in a high speed roll.
  2. It takes a bit of getting used to the 109. Its best to fly fast. Use trim and rudder to assist manuevering at high speeds. Reducing fuel to 70 or 80% will also greatly assist manuevering. Without MW50 you can't dogfight the spitfire. Don't know exactly how it matches up vs the P51D without MW50. Some people tell me the P51D turns better others say the 109 turns better. Sounds like it's fairly close though the P51D is faster. With MW50 the 109K4 is great fun to fly. Just fly it full throttle in combat. It can dogfight any of the allied planes in DCS.
  3. Without MW50 it is much harder. You need to build your speed up before you engage an enemy and keep it up so you can extend away. Trying to accelerate away from an enemy close on your six is very difficult. Keep in mind when ever your turning in the FW190D your opponent is gaining an advantage. Especially if its a spitfire. Don't try to do a steep climb againts a spitfire either. If you have enough of an energy advantage you can zoom climb above the enemy and attack again. Otherwise you just extend away in a shallow climb.
  4. Just fly at 300kmh or less at full throttle with MW50. That will kill it. It won't just stop completely it will produce way less power and run rough and if you throttle back you won't get much power at all when throttle is forward. You need to stay at critical altitude though. So on the deck. Climbing reduces engine power so you won't be running at max ATA.

  6. I managed to do 296 knots in sustained level flight at sea level in the A8 after the last update. Is that to fast? That's only 4 knots slower then the P51D at full mil.
  7. Yeah, it seems to be working for me so far though I have not flown it much.
  8. Slow for me to. Before the update I could do 585km/h at sea level in the K4 at full throttle with MW50. After the update I can only get about 551km/h and the plane shakes constantly at high power setting.

  10. Wouldn't need it to be modelled down to 10000 meters would we? I think modern submarines cant do more then 1000 meters deep.

  12. The FW190D does not bring anything to the table that the 109K4 can't do. The strength of both the german planes is speed and climb rate. It does not make that much of a difference. But the P51Ds strength is its excellent high speed performance. While the spitfire brings its climb rate and superior turning capability. Its very difficult to take advantage of the 109s better low speed manueverabilty vs the P51D when there is a spitfire around. Maybe we have a 1943 spit 9 when we should have a 1944 spit 9. Fair enough. That should be fixed. The FW190D has not been reliable at all. It has suffered from way worse engine bugs then the P51D ever has. It got instant engine failure when recieving any damage from the spitfire. It then had a WEP that would destroy the engine if used and was not fixed for years. That said bugs are irrelevant, all the WW2 planes have suffered and do suffer from them. I agree though, there are many bugs that seriously need to be fixed.
  13. Cool. Well I have long believed that the P51Ds cooling system is not working properly. I find I have to manually open the radiator(particularly the oil radiator) when temps start getting high otherwise I get engine failures.
  14. I think it says in the manual to open water radiator before take-off. Not 100% sure.

  17. Childish attacks? Ill 1v1 you any day in a spit 9 vs 109 without MW50. That match up is a joke. I think its childish to want victories served up on a platter for you. If your flying againts people with similar aircraft it shouldn't be easy. Where is the irony? I mostly fly allied and I have no problem in the spitfire 9. 1v1 in the mustang vs the 109 is an up hill struggle but it isn't that bad especially after the P51D improvements it got recently. Do you even fly the 109? Fighting a good spitfire pilot is not easy at all. It's a pretty even fight. The biggest problem is most people don't have a clue what they are doing and jump to blaming the plane instead of learning the hard way through practice. Fighting the German planes without MW50 on the other hand is a joke to me. Its stupid easy and boring.
  18. This rock hard evidence you are after quite possibly doesn't exist. I don't know if you know this but Germany was losing a war at the time. Really badly. Book keeping was most likely low on the priority list. Also dont know if you know this, but Germany lost that war. A lot of resources/information was destroyed as a result. But this suits your agenda.
  19. The spit 9 is capable. All the planes we currently have are capable. I don't get it spitfire people want to out turn, out climb and be faster then their opponent? Lol not much of a fight then.
  20. I'll translate this for everyone. Fenrir is saying that he is a bad pilot and can't do PvP without a significant advantage. Therefore he has come up with the excuse of historical accuracy. If you want historical accuracy go do ground pounding in Normandy. The allies had complete control of the skies.
  21. You seem to bring up the griffin spitfire when people ask for MW50 for the German planes. I think I understand why. You have to have a significant advantage over your opponent. You couldn't be bothered learning how to fly well. You just want easy one sided victories. Its pathetic.
  22. I'll 1v1 you. You fly the K4 without MW50 and I'll fly the spitfire 9. I'll out climb you, out turn you and be almost as fast as you. I'm also used to flying againts K4s with MW50 so good luck.
  23. If your going to turn and burn open both oil and water radiators. Oil tends to get hot in general and I periodically open it to lower oil temps in general. Just keep an eye on temps and you will generally get a feel of when to open what radiator.
  24. Germans should have MW50 if its balance your aiming for. Without the 109K4(with MW50 obviously) the germans dont have a plane that can hold its own vs the allies.
  25. Yeah, god forbid having to earn your victories by out flying your opponent.
