I get autolase fail if I'm not in Point or Area track when I drop. You need to hit TMS up with TGP as SOI and make sure your're in Point or Area.

Doesn't lifting the red ACM cover also disable one or 2 of the channels? Or is it the Autopilot disconnect paddle?
-
Don't think we've ever had splash damage with rockets in DCS. Only direct hits take out infantry. Rockets are mostly just for looks, no point in actually using them.

Cold start. Really looking forward to it.

How do you land in awful bad weather on an airstrip without ILS?
ZeroReady replied to d0ppler's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Georgia at War has real time METAR injected into the server. Pretty crappy weather there sometimes. -
Radios (even Ground Crew) don't work for RIO in multiplayer
ZeroReady replied to Mnemonic's topic in Bugs and Problems
Happens to me too, very frustrating. I think I read somewhere that it happens when the pilot is hosting the server. Have you tried using the radios as rio in a public multiplayer server? -
I wouldn't want to do it singleplayer, managing the AI is frustrating right now. But there's nothing stopping you from being a FAC in servers like Georgia at War. In fact it would be appreciated by many I'm sure.

Same here. I'm going to try it one more time then skip it if it doesn't work. Generally though I'm really enjoying the campaign. Can't wait to start Oil Field next.

I think right now the only way to assure wingmen launching is to be in a hot start jet.

TMS down to unlock right? As far as locking the other target, it depends on which mode you use. You can use the HMCS to slew the radar onto the desired target and lock with boresight (TMS up), or whatevers closest to the center cross on the HUD. Or TMS down for a 10x60 vertical scan. Or TMS right for 30x20 HUD scan. That's it though in ACM mode.

You're a Rockstar. Thank you

I have the same problem with the tanker TACAN in that mission, it works fine in other missions but it's usually set to something like 11X or 12X. I wonder if it's just something weird with being 1X?

The AIM 9 SEAM issue should be fixed, I can't test right now though. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4220357#post4220357

Good to know thanks for all the hard work. I just finished mission 3 in singleplayer, that was a good one.

Just had a great time flying mission one with a friend, but i could only join as rio, there was only one jet slot. shouldn't there be two?
-
Yeah the drift switch centers the pitch ladder, but it's still skewed unreasonably to the left for me. I confirmed and dobbered down through lat long and alt during strd heading alignment. There's no crosswind. It stays to the left no matter which way I'm facing.

Why isn't my TACAN pointing to the tanker?
ZeroReady replied to ZeroReady's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yep I cycled through multiple times to make sure, check the screenshots I put up top it's in TCN. -
Why isn't my TACAN pointing to the tanker?
ZeroReady replied to ZeroReady's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
It's the Dawn Strike mission that comes with the viper, the first one in the list. -
Why isn't my TACAN pointing to the tanker?
ZeroReady replied to ZeroReady's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I thought the X band gave azimuth and range, while the Y band does not. -
I'm running the Dawn Strike Mission included with the F-16. Shell is Channel 1X. I am tuned, in AA T/R, HSI is in TCN mode. I can hear the morse code. The needle is simply not pointing at the tanker. I've tried with stored heading alignment and Normal. https://imgur.com/46fCbph https://imgur.com/FCESrs7

Excellent thank you that all makes sense. I was confused weather the buttons changed the range the radar goes out to or like you said just the display range. I get it now. So if I am in RWS, and I get contacts on the DDD, I can infer their range on the TID by using the lines and spaces going out from my position right? So if I know they're 60 miles out, should I click the 100 mile range button before I IFF so it will show them on the ddd when I interrogate? Even though Im in PD, when I'm holding down the IFF button closure changes to range on the DDD? Like if I have 5 selected when I IFF, will I not see those contacts when I hold the button?
-
Above the ddd there are range buttons. If i am in pulse doppler mode, the drum readout below those buttons is blank. pressing one gives no feedback, and the pulse doppler mode doesn't show range. ok fine. so if i get some contacts and i want to iff in PD search, if i press one of those range buttons, then iff, that range shows up on the readout as long as im iff-ing. does that mean that the iff radar is only reaching out to that selected range? I know that while iff-ing in PD mode, the ddd changes from showing closure rate to range. Im trying to understand what those range buttons do in iff mode. And another thing. If we're just out looking for a fight, I'm in PD Search. Now I get some contacts, determine they are closing on us. Should I immediately go into RWS, or TWS at that point? Which one? Why choose RWS over TWS? Thank you!

Ok so this seems really cool and I was excited try it. Everything worked really well and i appreciate all the hard work that went into making this, but the first mission is a 400 mile round trip escort. I almost made it all the way home but I ran out of gas and lost all my wingmen in the 3 minutes of terror of the actual fight. Is this how it's going to be? I love flying and everything, but that was a lot of straight and level over open ocean, just to run out of gas before I could make it to base because the tanker is orbiting over the carrier instead of closer to the action.
