[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
ZeroReady replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
If I'm going to fly a ground attack mission and I want air cover, I do not let the mission plan that for me. I either edit the available CAP flights to match my take off time, or I create my own. I have had much better air cover doing it this way lately. -
[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign

It's working fine. Open DCS, then open the mission editor. Load the mission called liberation_nextturn. Click flight, then fly mission. After you end the mission in DCS alt-tab and you'll be be to submit the results from that window. -
I really like both DCE and Liberation. With DCE, you can really get the feeling that you're on a deployment, as a pilot of one specific aircraft. It will usually present you with anywhere from 3 to 7 missions you can choose from every turn. I really enjoy the F-14 campaigns from the Supercarrier in DCE. Sometimes you go out on a CAP and maybe you wont even get engaged, but not seeing the enemy on the F10 map the tension is always there. Sometimes it's a huge air battle at night and things get really hectic, then you have to tanker or land on the boat in pitch black, or if you're lucky sunrise, my favorite. Escort missions are fun too because strike aircraft are synched up well with your flight so you really feel like you're a part of something larger. Liberation I would say is more "fun", but not that DCE isn't fun, Liberation just gives you a lot more freedom. Fly any aircraft you own, on any mission you want to frag for yourself. It's frequently updated. I personally could do without the strategic element of buying units at your bases, but you really don't need to spend a lot of time or thought doing it. So I fly both depending on what I want to do that session. CAS in the Ka50 - Liberation. Want to be Maverick and Goose - DCE. Both are good and they are easily the best we have in DCS at the moment.

Sorry, JDAM Range Circle. Or LAR. Or Launch acceptable zone. Or any of the several different terms used in the manual and Chucks Guide.

I tried to power up the bomb like the 38 in the STRS page but I didn't get the alignment good message. I was able to hand off the mark I made on the map on target to the bomb, but I never got the Allowable launch circle on the EHSD or any indication that I could drop.

I had my first attempt at mission 3 today. I got my flight status revoked while I was on final to the carrier, no big deal your missions are so well done I don't mind trying a few times to get it right. I'm just curious, would I have gotten that message because I didn't follow the pattern correctly? Or is it only for "making the officers uncomfortable" in the back by deviating from the assigned flight parameters? I don't think my vertical speed went beyond + or - 7 m/s or anything, I was flying a pretty stable approach. But I may have deviated from the flight path on the diagram I'm just not sure. Also, I tuned the radio to channel 7, switch in channel mode not manual, and I couldn't hear the Admiral K even though I saw the text. I could only hear the audio when I switched to manual and dialed in the frequency. Maybe a bug?

I may be mistaken, but I believe only one target can be locked in STT, hence Single Target Track. Are you referring to being in TWS and being to fire on multiple targets? Track targets can be made into system targets in TWS by cursoring over them and TMS Up. TMS right will make all track targets into system targets. System targets can then be made into bugged targets with another TMS up on them, then you can fire a 120. Then TMS right to cycle the next system target to bugged and fire again. Is that what you're talking about?

I got them started by restarting the mission using ctrl r, or shift r whatever the command is. After it restarted the engines started just fine. Unfortunately i crashed trying to land on the rooftop. I touched down ok but I forgot to reset trim when lowering collective so I tipped over.

Yeah I definitely hit the fuel levers. I know the Mi8 like I know my car. It does seem like the engines aren't getting fuel since they won't light off. There is gas in the tank. APU is running, inverter is on, fuel pumps on, rotor brake off, circuit breakers on. Engine switches to left and start, press the button. Engine spools up, fuel lever on, RPM slowly rises to 38% then drops and the engine spools down. I've done it with both engines with the same result.

Yeah it's the very first mission. Temperature outside shows 30 degrees so I don't think it's too cold.

My friend has 1070 6GB. He's usually at 30-40 fps. In Windows task manager it shows only 40% of GPU being used. I have a 1060 6gb. I get around 50-60 fps and am using 100% of GPU. We've been over our DCS and Nvidia settings and we matched everything up. Other games seem to run just fine for him. We are also trying to get a liberation co-op campaign up and running. When I run it in either single player or hosting MP, I can get it to run at at a comfortable 40 fps by turning off the smoke and culling to 200 km. When he hosts or joins mine he is at anywhere from 1-20 fps while I'm at 40+. We can't figure out why he's getting worse performance than me when he has a better GPU.

I can start the Mi-8 from memory after completing the wonderful Oil Field campaign and most of Spring Tension. When trying to start in The Crew, first engine RPM rises to 40% then stalls and shuts off. Sometimes if I shutoff fuel and let it wind down and attempt to start again it will light off. Then I start engine 2 and the same thing, it just stalls out at 40% and shuts down. I've tried this several times. I even broke out the checklist to make sure I wasn't missing something. I made a quick mission in ME with just a cold and dark Mi-8 and was able to start it just fine. I've never had issues starting the Mi-8 before so I have no idea what the problem is. Looking forward to the campaign though!

Cool thank you! We got it up and running in the Persian Gulf, but my friend whos hosting is only getting like 5-20 fps, while I am at 50. So we're still messing with settings to smooth it out for him. -

Can anyone breakdown how to run Liberation Multiplayer? Friend runs a dedicated server. If he is hosting, does he run Liberation, generate the mission, open it in ME, then just host that mission? is there a way for us both to be looking at the same instance within the liberation GUI? Does he just have to talk me through whats happening on discord, he buys all the units at bases, and we decide what mission we want to fly? Thank you! -

Is it not necessary to save the debrief after flying a mission? In the wiki on the github page it just says to click accept results, then click ok, and the mission results will save, no mention of having to save the debriefing file yourself. -
Make sure your edited path.bat file has this part correct in the saved games directory. Solved all of my scripting errors.

Hi I am having a problem with TF-71-80's Tomcat Supercarrier campaign. I've tried the first mission twice and both times when I land on the carrier and end the mission I get this error. https://imgur.com/fQXTZLT

[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign

Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Finally got it working and finished my first mission, took out a Kub site in a harrier, chased halfway back by a mig through the valleys, dodged two of his missiles but he got me in the end. Lots of fun. I just have a question. When I finish the mission and save the debrief, does the filename matter? I just saved it as 1, that seemed to work. Liberation counted the mission and everything seemed to save. Just want to be sure I'm doing it right. Thanks again! -
Using a TM Warthog. Pressing the AP Button causes the AP to come on only as long as the button is held down. The Q key works fine, but not the HOTAS command.

I think what happens for me is this - I spot several targets. I make each a markpoint. Then when I cycle back to MP A and slew sensors to it with China Long, for some reason the TGP is not in Point or Area track, but some other mode I'm not familiar with. In this mode it doesn't say anything at the bottom of the TGP display where it normally says Point or Area. If I don't TMS up to change the mode before dropping, the yellow Autolase Fail box comes up. As long as I TMS up before the LS time and acknowledge the fault, the warning goes away and the laser fires as it should.
