If you don't have a joystick with a twist rudder axis or pedals you're going to have a difficult time with the harrier. You need to be a lot more active with the yaw in the Harrier than other jets when doing VSTOL. If you're controlling the rudder with the keyboard it will be frustrating.
Haven't had problems with bombs in CCIP, but when I last fired rockets, every single one fired off immediately when I should have only fired one. Harrier weapons seem bugged all around right now, but I bet they will be good next patch.
Can you turn off vsynch without screen tearing? I think that eats up some FPS when it's on. Turn off MSAA in game and use nvidia control panel for aa instead?
Moving targets: use unguided dispenser, set HOF to 700 or 900, CCIP about a football field down the road from the lead vic. Guided is meant for stationary targets.
Sometimes it just won't fire. Latch or no latch, it just doesn't fire sometimes. Sometimes even with latch on it only fires for a second then turns off. Everything is on and ready. If I can see the target in the tgp can the laser still be masked? That's the only thing I can think of.
What is the T symbol on the bottom of the display next the flashing L?
Can the laser get too hot if left on for too long?
What's the max range to laze?
Thanks!
I've only been working on Vulcan Forge, but with the current harrier bugs (no CCRP bombing, no interval setting, firing all rockets at once instead of just one etc) I don't know if it's worth it to invest too much time in the harrier at this point.
This part sucks. The flex guns are amazing, I wish you could just aim the things with trackir. Also the door guns work just fine without having to pause trackir. You can aim with the mouse and still move your grape around. Why doesn't the flex sight work this way?
I used to use the friction slider but changed it so left throttle is throttle and right throttle is nozzles. I'm on the fence now because this way you have to keep a hand on the nozzle throttle to access all the buttons. I may switch back to the friction slider I think it's better that way.
Nice, thanks for the info I appreciate it. Just curious, do you know the reason why the crossfeed switch is only flipped above 10,000 ft? And is the issue with the ordnance loaded fixing oscillations a bug or intended?
OK I can make an offset waypoint from bullseye. If I want to the edit the DOT to that waypoint, do just set the knob back to steer point, select the waypoint I just made, and edit it from there like normal?
Thanks for all the tips here, loading sidewinders and mavs got rid of the uncontrollable oscillating in manual reversion mode.
However I'm confused about the procedure for Left generator failure. The instructor wants me to to enable crossfeed, then reset generator. But the checklist in the manual does not mention crossfeed. Just reset Gen and if that doesn't work turn on apu and apu Gen.
