  1. I may consider ordering from HP USA but I've known in the past I've always had issues with their products. I am kind of waiting for Amazon but it looks like it won't be coming there. It's good to know they are responding and attempting to make the situation better. Something tells me even with the delay they have not fully fixed all the issues. Come to think of it I can't think of a time when hp released something that didn't have issues and they needed to recall it. At least that didn't happen in this case. I just hope they actually have fixed the units.
  2. That's also why I'm just waiting for the newly updated units, if they are indeed fixed. The issues people are describing is exactly what I want to avoid.
  3. I sold mine for $200. You can use apps like offer up and letgo to list it. Mine had the two sensors, Xbox controller for PC, and touch controllers with the original packaging. I sold stuff on eBay before but I usually just leave that for smaller things. Shipping and eBay fees would have killed me.
  4. Sold my CV1 for a good amount. Now just waiting for a reputable local store or soemthing to have stock in US and then I can place an order and sell my Odyssey too.
  5. There's at least one person on here with a 2070 and a reverb and they were able to run DCS without issues. As long as you turn off shadows and don't use too much msaa you should be fine.
  6. Yea this makes sense. Corporate orders from companies that make orders internally, deplete the stock before they have any left to sell to the public. It's mainly marketed as a professional device not main consumers like us.
  7. Disappointed in hearing about the flickering issue which is why I'm still waiting(besides it not being available for purchase in US other than shopblt). Hopefully the newer stock does not have this issue.
  8. Yes this is very likely according to wcftech site but I think they are also planning to release 2080ti supers after they release the regular super cards. Which would mean the current TI's would drop price. Not sure why Nvidia is doing this as they have always done in the past. There isn't much competition and they always seem to find a way to rake in the money.
  9. Better to wait until the 2080ti super cards come out so that the 2080ti will be about 1-$200 discounted.
  10. Will there be any indication from HP or anyone that's selling these units to let people know the cable design has been redone? Last I heard the engineers were making changes to the headset cable and it's connection. I figure by the time it is available to freely purchase on Amazon in US these maybe the revised units.
  11. Yea I don't know if steamvr for wmr is required. Not sure why it's even there in steam because windows installs wmr on its own.
  12. You need steam vr wmr app from steam for DCS. Until dcs makes wmr support native. It will probably also have you install steamvr.
  13. I had to do the same for the rift because of the sensors and I have the odyssey plugged in to the startech card now. I used the powered USB hub for my hotas now.
  14. Oh I'm selling my headsets locally on apps like offer up and let go. People just come pick them up if you accept their offers.
  15. I never set the price as low as I'll accept as people always will offer you less. I put up my CV1 for sale for $230 because everyone else around me had theirs for $250 and up. I got offers as $150 but I didn't accept. On eBay you can look at completed sold listings of the Cv1 and Odyssey and see that most of them sold for around $200.
  16. Also looking forward to what settings you are running :)
  17. No need to start steam vr and dcs while you wake up your desktop app in the headset. Just make a shortcut to dcs in your desktop so when you put on the headset and are presented with the desktop in the cliff house, just double click the dcs shortcut icon. Everything launches on its own after that and all you have to do is alt+enter to go full screen. Your mouse also won't refocus even if you don't do full screen since you launched from within the headset.
  18. Everything has a process. I found it less of a process to just put the headset on and then click the dcs icon on the desktop. The windows desktop app stays open in the cliff house when you shutdown wmr so the next time you put the headset on so it's not like there are any extra steps. Previously, I used to launch wmr app, then steam vr then dcs. Now I just put the headset on my face. I agree the Oculus software is golden and much better. Honestly I don't like steam vr and that is why I use the original odyssey just with DCS because playing my Oculus games is awkward with the wmr controllers as the buttons and assignments are different. At least there is the option to do so with revive. I could see steam vr being all you need if all the VR games ever made worked on all headsets without the need to be on a separate platform like oculus or wmr. This is how it should be and I'm not sure why the API's were all split among so many different platforms. If the index or Vive pro didn't cost so much I'd go that route but I don't want to set up external sensors and such in my apartment bedroom. I can't wait for DCS to make wmr native so that we don't have to use steam vr too.
  19. The mouse thing and window priority when dealing with DCS can be remedied by how you launch dcs. If you open wmr app and then run DCS you will lose your mouse sometimes as it does not focus on the right window. To remedy this issue I always put on my Odyssey first, then the cliff house opens up. I tap Windows key and select the desktop app from within the headset. Then you click the dcs shortcut and it launches properly. You will never have the mouse/window priority issue again. It will automatically launch steamvr from within the headset and you will be good to go. I think the way you are supposed to use wmr is through the headset. That's why if you open dcs though the desktop app of the headset, you won't have any mouse issue.
  20. Believe me I'm the same way with technology/gadgets but I haven't flown in over a month so I may as well wait and be surprised at the resolution compared to my original Odyssey. Hopefully the VR update will be out by the time I get one and I was really hoping the A10 textures updates would be available too but it doesn't look like it. I've been stuck on the enemy within 3.0 mission 12 for a long time now and is rather try it again in the new headset lol.
  21. Yea I was considering them but in case I need to return I may wait for Amazon, Best buy, or Microsoft store since those two stores are near me. Seeing how people are having some issues with the reverb screens flickering and stuff, maybe I should wait.
  22. Check post #1527. Not sure how to link in Tapatalk. I asked the same thing.
  23. That honestly didn't look like a trustworthy website to begin with. I've never heard of them and was surprised to see its in Ohio.
  24. That's unfortunate, seems like that guy returned it for an Odyssey+. I can't imagine the Odyssey+ being more comfortable. But I do like the oled panels of my Odyssey. It's just so uncomfortable I have not flown in months. Seems like the rift S also had the screen/lens flashing or going black from what I remember in the thread over there. Perhaps this is why they silently delayed the release in May. I would expect more from a $600+ headset too. Hopefully everyone that is afflicted can get the issue resolved.
  25. Doesn't the pro version come with a better warranty? One where they will do an advanced rma? Meaning they will send you a new unit first then you send yours back? I thought I read something like that about the pro model.
