  1. I search "reverb" or "HP reverb" on Amazon and nothing even remotely close shows up lol.
  2. Interesting as those that seem to have one already are in UK or Europe in general. I was talking about the US, there's been nothing over here for a while. But I can walk into any store and buy a Rift S.
  3. I've been looking but haven't found anything. I don't want to order from HP site though. I'd rather get it from a store but even Microsoft store doesn't carry it and I'm not sure if it will since it's the pro version. I also checked Best buy and they had no such listing. Neither does Amazon.
  4. Throwing more hardware at it can only do so much. Dcs VR optimizations need to come in because this is similar to throwing more developers on a project, it's not gonna get done any sooner. At some point dcs will need to change which I'm hoping the VR implementations actually help.
  5. This place has it but I'm not sure if it's legit or true about it being in stock. http://www.neutronusa.com/prod.cfm/3567173/glb?gclid=Cj0KCQjwxYLoBRCxARIsAEf16-uIi9T4Imb5qwf5kXbAhaQtnOD5Pc31UrnOiiSVuurwR7vA_iBzgXoaAh5QEALw_wcB
  6. Unfortunately I would like to order from a retailer here in US where I can easily return if I need to. Microsoft and Microcenter are right where I live but neither of them have any listings of the Reverb at all. I guess stores are not going to publicly sell the pro version until later.
  7. Yea I am wondering how much the price will drop for the 2080Ti's. Probably $100 only. Unless the super turns out to be more than just an unlocked chip and ends up being more like the rtx version of the titan. Your 2080 is similar to my 1080ti so I think I will be okay with the Reverb. But if the super is really worth it and they don't screw around and release another Ti model in the next coming months, I may go for that. Although they are announcing the super on 6/21 and it will have a delayed release anyway so if anyone wants one they will have to continue waiting. Chances that I find a Reverb in the US by 6/21 is slim. I'd wait for the super reviews anyway. I remember I had a 2080ti ordered already but before it shipped the reviews came out and I wasn't surprised much so I cancelled it.
  8. Yea this one will probably be about $1800 or more lol.
  9. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for posting the graphics settings for DCS. I feel much more comfortable now trying to get the Reverb with my 1080ti. I'll most likely use your settings, thanks!
  10. Awesome, sounds like I should not have any issues with my 1080ti. Now just gotta find a Reverb in the US.
  11. This seems useful, thanks. I haven't touched my settings since the original Odyssey but when I get the Reverb I'll have to try this out.
  12. What settings are you running in DCS? Do you have steam SS at 100% and what Pixel density in DCS? Just trying to get a feel for what it's running with as my card is similar.
  13. Well I wear my contacts at work and I'm a software engineer so I work on a pc all day. When I get home my contacts are dry so I like to take them out as soon as I get home. So the lens adapters stay in the Odyssey in case I want to fly later in the day. Either one will work fine I just found it odd that one time I still had contacts in and the lens adapters were in the Odyssey but I wasn't seeing blurry or double vision the same as I would if I would have forgotten to take my contacts out and put on my glasses.
  14. Yea you have a point there. Sometimes I forget I still have contacts on and I put the Odyssey on my head with the lens adapters on and I can't tell a difference. But if I put my glasses on while I still have the contacts in, of course things are blurry. Funny because the prescription I gave to widmovr is for my glasses I think.
  15. Hopefully soon there will be prescription lens snap on adapters for the reverb. I got ones from here for my Odyssey and they are great. https://widmovr.com/
  16. From one of the devs here on the same Reddit thread in the comments. More specifically: On an Acer, HP, Lenovo, Dell, ASUS or other headset (1440x1440 per eye resolution): renderTargetScale == 1: Limit is 1764x1764 per eye renderTargetScale == 2: Limit is 2206x2206 per eye (this is the max; setting renderTargetScale > 2 won’t have an effect). On a Samsung Odyssey or Odyssey+ headset (1440x1600 per eye resolution): renderTargetScale == 1: Limit is 1657x2065 per eye renderTargetScale == 2: Limit is 2072x2582 per eye (this is the max; setting renderTargetScale > 2 won’t have an effect). Setting renderTargetScale will use slightly more video memory, but not much. To be honest I never tried setting the steam vr scale to 188. I tried 200 and kept dcs PD at 1.0 in my Odyssey and it seemed ok I don't know if I could tell a difference between dcs PD 1.5 and steam 100% vs the 188% and PD 1.0. Things looked a tiny bit clearer but nothing too exciting. I can't remember if I experienced any performance issues, maybe a bit of stutter.
  17. Much different impression compared to those that said everything was so clear and did not require zooming in to read stuff. Wonder why some people and reviews say it's so clear and different and others say differently. Wonder if those people probably don't have good vision in the first place lol?
  18. Hopefully me too as I have a 1080ti. Most of the impressions here were from people with 2080ti's. I think one or two people had a 2080 so I'll have to go back and read those posts.
  19. Will wait for you feedback. Since you have a 2080 it would be nice to get feedback on how it runs.
  20. Yea I'm curious what the newer cpu's will bring. I've had Intel as long as I can remember and I've thought about going to amd but would need to see how much that changes for me with the current cooling solution that I have. I'd probably still use an Nvidia card in the end.
  21. Restart makes sense but deleting fxo and metashader folder should be done after each dcs update.
  22. This drove me bonkers for months until I figured it out. My mouse would lose itself randomly and I would not be able to get it back without a pc restart. Nice write up for the review too! I don't have a 2080ti but I would hope to run similar settings to yours if I get one.
  23. I can't see very well at distance but up close things are fine. Every headset I have had, I've had to wear my contact lenses for everything to be clear and sharp. It may just be that the ipd or fov of the Reverb isn't as good for you as it is in the VP? Odd that with your glasses the Reverb does not show up just as clear as the Vive which would make me think it has something to do with the sweetspot of the reverb being off for you vs the Vive. I know with the Cv1 my sweetspot was fairly simple to find and the mechanical ipd adjustment helped but with the odyssey the sweetspot is harder to find, I have to have the headset very tight against my face and make sure it stays that way for everything to be clear and focused. The software ipd did nothing for me in the odyssey, just made things a bit clearer or blurrier based on if I was pushing the lenses closer together vs further apart using only the ipd wheel dial.
  24. What I did to remedy this on the odyssey is just put on the headset, wait for cliff house to come up. Hit the Windows key then go to the desktop app. Your desktop shows up. Double click dcs shortcut from there. After that no more messing with the mouse going off the screen or VR window area. It's how you are meant to use wmr. If you start wmr app in windows first then put on the headset, it will think you are still out the headset so the mouse looses focus. It used to drive me nuts but now every time I want to fly I just launch everything from inside the VR headset.
  25. Thanks for the clarification! Yea I think I was using your thread when I was messing with those values for my Odyssey. You're right it's a mess and doesn't really represent everything clearly which is why I am glad I heard ED will work on making it native so we dont have to use steam vr. I always thought software side is much better for oculus, less buggy too. I remember checking my VR settings file and motion reprojection was on but I don't remember doing anything to turn on that value other than ticking those settings under the video tab. What do you think of the Reverb so far? You've only had it a day or two I think. I'm still trying to decide if it's a worthy upgrade over my original Odyssey, but then again most people that got the Reverb have a 2080ti and I chose not to upgrade past my 1080ti this past year. I'll wait a bit longer seeing it's not available for purchase in the US yet and hopefully more people on here that have a 1080ti will get one and report their findings too.
