Red Flag F-14 Tomcat - SP NTTR Mission by SEDLO
Sedlo replied to Sedlo's topic in User Created Missions General
Not sure what's going on there, I'll have a look this weekend. Cheers! -
I’ve found that they won’t refuel unless their fuel levels are really low. Start then out below 50% and give it a go.
-
Sorry, I'm not sure what mission you're referring to?
-
Hopefully next patch will solve this.
-
Cool, let me know if it works for you!
-
I should say that the above works with the Hornet, not sure about other modules.
-
It's a bit of a dark art.... I've found you can "stack" the actions to achieve different results. Example below will result in an altimeter set at 30.15. I came up with it by trial and error, I'm not really sure how to do it otherwise.
-
I am not finding that the "Set Frequency" trigger changes the player's preset at all. Attached is a quick mission I put together. Channels 1-3 on both radios are set to 305.0. Use the Radio menu, F10 option to trigger a frequency switch for the flight. The wingman will go to the new frequency, but the player aircraft's radio and presets remain the same. I'm not sure if we're doing something different here, or there may be some sort of issue with an install? RADIO TEST.miz
-
Under the triggered actions, and under the Perform Command there is a set frequency. This will change the AI members of your flight, not the player's preset.
-
In the advanced actions tab, you can “set frequency for unit” and make it a VHF or UHF frequency.. The tab in the window you have defaults to the COMM1 radio, which is UHF only. That’s why it won’t work.
-
It's kinda bugged right now.... You can try a couple pokes, but if you're conservative with your throttle you should make it through the mission without tanking.

Eastern Friendship Mission 1 - F-16C Edition by Sedlo
Sedlo posted a topic in Missions and Campaigns
Eastern Friendship Mission 1 - Viper Edition is out! Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306438/ Last night, a Georgian armoury was attacked by Russian backed separatist guerillas and a number of heavy weapons, including APCs, ZSU-23 Shilkas, were stolen. Intelligence suspects that the stolen armour is heading east in order to escape into South Ossetia. Your job is to provide close air support in the hunt for the stolen weapons. SCENARIO: This is a fictional, “what if”, scenario where Georgia had hurriedly joined NATO prior to the full scale Russian invasions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. NATO air power has begun staging at airbases around Georgia proper, and have commenced defensive air operations. Currently, NATO air forces are cleared to operate within the territorial boundaries of Georgia, and are cleared to conduct strikes to support NATO ground forces within Georgian Airspace. Last night, a Georgian armoury was attacked by Russian backed separatist guerillas, and a number of heavy weapons, including APCs, ZSU-23 Shilkas were stolen. Intelligence suspects that the stolen armour is heading east in order to escape into South Ossetia. This hostile group is believed to be made up of South Ossetian Guerillas, Russian SPETZNAZ forces and defecting Georgian Army personnel. Badger 1, a joint Canadian / Georgian convoy has been dispatched to locate the purloined equipment before these criminals can escape. MISSION: You are the lead pilot of Colt 5 flight of 2 F-16Cs based at Kutaisi Airbase in northern Georgia. Colt 5 is sitting alert ready to support NATO and Georgian ground forces. Rumour is that Badger 1 is hot on the tail of the stolen armour. The weather is not great, a low overcast of 10000ft will keep close air support right in the heart of the AAA and MANPAD envelope. We have already lost 2 NATO aircraft to hostile fire, so make sure to employ liberal use of flares when flying in proximity to hostile forces. ***************************************** COLT 5 - F-16C x 2 CAS Alert 5 COLT 9 - CF-18 x 2 CAS Alert 15 FORD 1 - M2000C x 2 CAP Airborne NTMR 4 - CF-18 x 2 CAP Alert 15 ****************************************** MISSION NOTES: 1. You will have to change radio frequencies in this mission - Easy Comms are disabled. 2. You can use the Radio Menu to give orders to your wingman, and to get information from MAGIC. 3. This mission requires you to fly to, and over, waypoint 2 on departure, plus fly to, and over, waypoint 5 upon returning to base (UNLESS CLEARED TO TURN PRIOR BY MAGIC OR ATC) 4. This functionality of this mission's triggers and actions are dependent on you NOT CHANGING THE WEAPONS LOADOUT! Doing so may break your mission, and that sucks! 5. DO NOT STRAY INTO RUSSIAN OR SOUTH OSSETIAN TERRITORY! 6. If you do make it back to base, keep in mind that you are in a combat zone and are expected to fly the overhead break to land. 7. Yes, there are custom kneeboards. -
Hmmm.. I've taken a look at the mission again, and the only thing I can think of that would prevent the menu from coming up is you don't have the frequency 295.4 up on the UHF radio. Of course, if you've refueled from the tanker then you'd have to have it loaded, so I'm not sure what's going on.
-
That's strange... I tried it just an hour ago and got it. I'll have a look.
-
Thank you, JagHond! Hopefully another will come live on the site today, too.
-
Looking forward to the missions that can come from the 16!

Thanks! This one is similar to the F/A-18 one... Voice overs updated, weapons and some triggers too. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306417/ -
WELCOME TO RED FLAG Welcome to Red Flag Mission 1. My goal in creating this mission is to simulate a realistic air to ground Red Flag mission for the new DCS F-16C Viper. In order to fly this mission successfully, you’ll need to execute critical tasks, from hitting your timing points to low level flying to possible air to air combat. Make sure to read and familiarize yourself with the mission briefing and what’s expected of you before you enter the mission. Things can happen fast in the air, so better to prepare on the ground! This mission features a ton of voice overs, challenging situations and custom triggers and scripts that should help make the experience memorable. Good Luck! Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306417/ SITUATION Last week, Red Army forces began to move combat units close to the Blue border, in clear violation of the UN Security Council resolution 354. This, along with frequent Red Air Force violations into the DMZ area, have led Blue leadership to realize that a Red attack is imminent. Today, Blue forces will preemptively strike the Red Forces staging near the DMZ. The attack will consist of several F/A-18 strikes upon Red Command and Control facilities adjacent to the border, plus SEAD strikes against SAM, AAA and EWR sites. Aiding this effort will be several flight of F-15 and F/A-18 fighters to take care of any hostile airborne responses. Blue forces will have AWACS, tanker and jamming support on this mission, which will be orbiting to the East. THREATS Red Army and Air forces are on a high state of alert. • SA-10, SA-8, SA-3 AND SA-6 radar guided SAMs are all located adjacent to the DMZ. • MANPADS and AAA threats exist throughout the AO. • Hostile MiG activity has been heavy consisting of MiG-29, SU-27s (simulated by F-15 and F-16s of the 65th Aggressors and the 6513th TEF) YOUR MISSION Dodge 1 Flight will be targeting a Red Command and Control Bunker located at NB 67587 40715 in Range 74B, utilizing a low level, high speed run into a pop up, MK-84 bombing attack. You will only be making one pass, then egressing northeast at high speed and low altitude. This question will be asked of you by ALLEYCAT between waypoint 3 and 4. Answer via the Radio Menu F10 Other option. (I have flown this mission without air to air refuelling and there is JUST enough gas, but you need to be very conservative with the throttle. I recommend tanking!) • Be at the Push Point (Waypont 6) on time (16:45) and start a descent to low level. Maintain at least 440 KIAS! • Be at very low level by the time you reach Highway. From waypoint 7, ensure you are flying low and at least 480 KIAS. • Waypoint 9 is where you will be turning south towards the target. Use the mountains to mask yourself from the Red Air Defenses. • Approaching the target, Pontiac 1 flight is tasked with destroying the SA-8 adjacent to the bunker. • Utilize a pop up attack to bomb the bunker. Ensure that you pull out of the resultant dive at least 2000agl. MANPADs are expected around the target, so liberal use of flares and evasive manoeuvres is recommended. • Egress the target at high speed towards waypoint 12. • Remember, it’s important to overfly each and every one of your waypoints, unless directed to do something else. This mission is trigger based, and relies on you to navigate to these points to trigger the next event. • DO NOT CHANGE THE WEAPONS LOADOUT! Mission functionality requires you to fly with what you’re given. COMM1 is your UHF radio, COMM2 is your VHF. If you are instructed to, “UNIFORM 3”, select channel 3 on the UHF (COMM1) radio. There are two instances in the mission where you will need to use the Radio Menu / F10 Other menu to make a choice. • The first will be somewhere between waypoint 3 and 4, when ALLEYCAT will inquire as to whether you would like to do aerial refuelling prior to the push time, or not. • The second time will occur when/if you are complete with the air to air refuelling when you’ll need to use the Radio Menu / F10 Other option to contact AWACS when you depart the tanker. You CAN use the standard radio menu items to: • Contact Darkstar (AWACS) • Contact ARCO 11 (air refuelling tanker) • Command your Wingman (who will be responding on your VHF (COMM2) radio on channel 1 138.05 Mhz). I'm really enjoying the brief time I had so far! Thanks, folks!

I'm in a similar situation as beppe_goodoldrebel... I've got a Viper Red Flag in the cue, hopefully will be on the user files section soon. -
When I type "return list_indication (2)" I get: As for getting the other information, I'm not sure how to do that, sorry. If you figure it out be sure to post!
-
Also just double check the sim in connected and you’re in the plane and it’s not paused. (Active pause is ok)
-
Type this into the snippet window: return list_indication (2) That should do the trick.
-
I'm not aware of a list, but if you find one, let me know! I've used witchcraft and trial and error to find these... Check out this link and also watch the attached video: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235013 When you get that set up, the snippet to use to get cockpit indications is: return list_indication (1) The number indicates the device ID, which I find pretty much by trial and error. Plug different values in until you find the device you're interested in. I got lucky with the Harrier because the MFDs were number 1 and 2. Some of them go up past 30. Hope this helps.
-
It's not going to be a cockpit parameter, it's going to be a cockpit indication text value. Indicator ID is 1 for left MFD, 2 for the right. Elem Name for the Targeting pod zoom is: tpod_video_zoom Value is: the level of zoom. See attached screenshot for an example. This will send a message to all when the TGP zoom is level 4 on either the left or right MFD. Hope this helps!
