Change Saitek X52 Pro Spring
digitaljjd replied to jepessen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The probably most easy thing to do is, buy the right sized cymbal felt washers and slip them under the spring. They can be cut to slip on and come in different thicknesses. -
At no point did I mention anything about being stupid, and you did interpret it another way. My point was, that it doesn't move until you click on it, mistake or not. Therefore, you are at fault when this happens. The firearm doesn't just go off, you have to pull the trigger first (Remington 700's excluded) The handles don't just randomly get pulled. Could this happen to me? Yes. Has this happened to others? Yes. Will they change it? Possibly, but making it more difficulty to do, sounds to me more like a Californiaization fix, then addressing what is really happening, which is operator input error. Would a change be better in the long run? Maybe. However without a doubt someone else will complain about it being changed. At any rate, it's not up to me. I do see your point, but I just don't click on it. At least, not yet.

Gobble! Gobble! LOL! Couldn't resist that. :D Turkey anyone? Maybe some anger management perhaps? Relax man. Not everyone wants it changed and Thanksgiving is still 4 months away. P.S. I'm not arguing against it, just making a point. I haven't had a problem and like it the way it is.

Not a fan of this. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is like saying, I don't know why the gun went off officer, I just had my finger on the trigger and pulled it. Then it fired. Clearly there must be something wrong.

Bleeding....don't forget bleeding.:smilewink:

@Mower: LOL! Awesome! @OP: If I just had to get FS I'd wait for FSXI...or a review of FSXI before I bought it. (Microsoft Flight). It has an unknown release date thus far.

I can't believe this has went 8 pages already. They are using an old Jedi mind trick to distract everyone. I wonder what they are really up to?

I've still got my fingers crossed. I'd prefer a F-16. If you think about it, ED actually released F-16 WIP cockpit images, Olgerd is currently bidding on F-16 manuals on Ebay, so who knows? The F-18C website could be disinformation for competitors, or next, or just on the future list. I still think we won't get a hint about what's next until after X-mas of this year. -

DCS Millennium Falcon YT-1300 light freighter (Modified) -
I just found this review from a few days ago: "Having played BGO for a while now I feel it's time to throw in the towel on a game that I used to love. I'll dip back in now and again in the hope that they've fixed it but I think TOR or even JGE will be here before then. Here's some of problems: You CANNOT compete against the Wallet Warriors unless you become one too or spend ALL day looking for a Water planetoid that if you don't get blasted off of instantly, you will have to sit on for HOURS. How can Bigpoint call it a Beta when they already have the mechanics to charge for Cubits etc in place? There are very few missions available and after a while they just become too tedious to contemplate finishing (Scanning 100 asteroids every day?) The game has developed into a series of Zerging the Outposts and being Spawncamped. And to me that's the biggest problem: F2P microtransaction games seem to be made to satisfy 1 type of player: The Haribo fuelled screaming teenager whose ADHD prevents them from realising how dishonourably they play. They don't care about exploiting bugs: "If they didn't want us to use it they would taken it out!" They love screaming in Open Chat about how you're a noob because you got destroyed by 12 Strike craft all sitting inside your ship. They moan about Spawncamping while doing it themselves. They'll use any means necessary to WIN, because: "That's the point isn't it?" And Yes; I can say this, particularly as the parent of one. So: If it's a game you want to get involved in and play for about 4-5 weeks before tiring of the repetition or if it's an exercise in futility you're looking for then give it a try. " Too bad. Beyond the Red Line had lots of promise. I tried that, but could never get the TrackIR to work. It was really really cool though.

The irony here is, that the Apache has fixed wings, removable...but fixed none the less. -
Weird behaviour during mission
digitaljjd replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
The trimmer. Yes. There are two modes in options...er default and one. Trim with having to return all controls to zero(release stick) and trim and after a sec. it starts (forgot actual time) and all the controls are at zero. So,once that happens it your trim is out of wack, and you trim again it's more and more out. Try the trim reset, map or use the keyboard Ctrl T?, also check that there are no double joystick assignments, and when trimming the rudder is also trimmed in position, so if a wind gust comes along you will yaw. There are many videos on youtube and here that may answer your questions, do a search, I'm sure these topics have came up several times. -

How about Slaperondeassikstan? :smilewink: If ED wanted to be super uber cool, they could drop a new map with each new module, or at least continue the Nevada tradition of making them a pay for add-on option. -

Heart Broken cause of my warthog stick
digitaljjd replied to bumfire's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Welcome to the club bumfire! I realize that the warthog bases are much larger, but maybe you can buy a cheap office chair and find a way to mount them to it like I did for my X-52, my main concern was being able to have adjustability, as I suffer from bilateral wrist and elbow pain as well...right now in fact. With some extended hardware I was able to lower the arms of this chair about 2 1/4 inches with some spacer blocks, ( for overall height adjustment) and I drilled sequential holes in the platform mounts to be able to raise or lower them as needed. It worked out pretty well. -
Bands are the way to go, I used 5% or whatever the min. is. One note of importance, you have to always return the slider back to the center or you can't use any other keys, because it's an endless repeating key stroke in the forward or aft position.

Hummm. I guess it seems to us, the ones who have already purchased the sim and had the opportunity and privilege to enjoy the beta for sometime now, that ED is done with A-10C, but they are still in the thick of it, with the boxed version about to hit store shelves, another patch for A-10C and a Black Shark compatibility patch on deck...plus they have the Nevada map and the possibility of FC3 in the works, not to mention they have somehow already managed to start work on DCS module: "X". It seems to me, that they are very busy at the moment. Now, just from a marketing standpoint if you figure that Joe Blow consumer, who would like to purchase a fine flight simulator, but who is on the fence about getting A-10C or not, (absurd) finds out that his preferred DCS module "X" is on the horizon too soon, that might make him or her decide to wait and pass on A-10C in favor of module "X". That could mean lost revenue and a sad face for ED. I'm just as curious as you, but I don't ever want ED to have a sad face. I'm just guessing, but I think what it really comes down to is this...they're just really pluckin' busy right now. :D
