Kind of late response, but I am hoping your throttle tension knob is working , you can adjust the tension there, I have heard complaints it doesn't work. I have the opposite problem, mine are too stiff, but the knob doesn't seem to work.

I don't use the come-with software, I do everything through DCS. I go to axis commands and scroll down to the bottom select Zoom View and double click and rotate the silver rotary switch and you're done.

I got a new X-56 and I like it, it's real smooth but one thing. The throttle levers are a bit stiff, I spun the knob all the way and it doesn't seem to make a difference, any suggestion? I have a hard time controlling speed in a dog fight. It's smooth but stiff, maybe I should take it apart and clean off the grease or something, anyone do that?

That's good news! Was wondering about the throttle mini stick, I want to use it, but there doesn't seem to be a way I know of. It doesn't respond in the controls menu. The joystick mini stick works fine for radar, I use it in the F-16. I doesn't work for the T-pod though. I'd like to use the throttle mini stick for the T-pod.

Razbam promised they will finish their stable before they move on to other aircraft. It is their determination as to what is "finished". While a lot of buttons do nothing or are marked as not available indicates this high fidelity model is not as high fidelity as you might wish.

I think it is worth more than half off, it is a great plane and fun to fly and does things no other plane in DCS does. Does it have bugs? of course, but so does every aircraft, they work on them get it corrected and then they update DCS and here comes another raft of bugs, that's just the way it is.The fact that every new plane coming out will be more expensive, allows you to enjoy these sales all the more.

What they're going to do is remove your paid version of the A-10c, then sell you the same plane with a couple of options to you again with a different title. We call it fraud, but in other places in the world, they call it free enterprise.

[OLD BUG REPORTS] Cleaning and Organization of old posts
Mouse_99 replied to RAZBAM_ELMO's topic in Resolved Bugs
Not sure how long this has been happening, but I recently got into the Mirage after about a year, and discovered I could not lock a target. The target shows up on the screen and blinks preventing me from locking them. I lock for a second and then it breaks lock. When I get closer, I can lock them with special modes , but not until I get in range. Not sure what is going on, never had that before. -
I am constantly zooming in just to read the numbers on the HUD in the F-16, I know I'm old and can't see very well, but I don't have the same problem in the F/A-18c. I was wondering if they could put a slider in the controls section to adjust the size of the text in the HUD. Also, it would be nice to adjust the color of the text, I think the A-10c has that ability, not sure if the Viper does in real life or not. Not sure if those dials on the IFC control the brightness and contrast on the HUD or the MFD's, I don't get much change in them if I use them.

The fture Things sound great in the interview, and I hope it works out. I am wondering about the graphics end of things and how the Microsoft Flight sim map could be integrated into DCS which could save a ton of work and allow us to actually fly anywhere and have a theater of conflict anywhere. Not sure if licensing the technology is feasible (DCS World is free), but weather would be interesting, and I am getting interested in the modules that might come our way. So, I will fly along in my hangar of unfinished aircraft and enjoy what I can. I am wondering why ED doesn't create high fidelity aircraft out of the FC3 line up, we have a few Russian planes, but there really should be a lot more.

Being an Army veteran, the military life is - Hurry up and wait, as you get ready to BE ON TIME with your S*** together. Then there are hours of boring doing nothing and then, sudden bursts of intense pucker factor. So, if you want realism, there you go.

A lot of nice surprises, impressed me, without a lot of fanfare, and then my LG bombs refused to come off the jet, so two steps forward, another step backward. Oh well, what are you going to do (in BETA). lol!

Why is the Viper getting TWS before the Hornet?
Mouse_99 replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
This whole thing has been FUBAR'd and there is no clean way to get out of it, so I am just , I don't know, sick about the whole thing. -
setting and changing profiles in the controls editor
Mouse_99 replied to Mouse_99's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
Maybe I didn't make myself clear, the buttons do not work, how do I load a different profile? I set up my controls, but WAGS says there are default ones you can load. Maybe what I did was overwrite the default ones, Is that right? If so, how do I restore the default ones?. I tried to save what I have but again the button didn't seem to work, so I could not save what I had and name it, so I could load a new profile. -
Maybe it's just me, but I find myself zooming in just to see the numbers on the HUD. I would like the ability to boost up the size of the font just a tad. I don't seem to have that problem on the F/A-18. I know I'm old and my eyes aren't so good, so I'm sure others might have the same problem.

Nosewheel Steering - Sensitivity slider special options?
Mouse_99 replied to Schwarzfeld's topic in Wish List
I had to laugh at that one, I too felt, wow this is really easy to land, I must be getting pretty good, - then I realized there was no damage model! -
Pretty sure it will be a big news announcement, so the chances are you won't miss it. ;)

I do SP for two reasons, I had bad experiences in the console games where it is the wild west and people shot anything that moved and the other reason was I am not very skilled, I flew Falcon 4 years ago and then it went under and I got swept up in my life adventures, I found DCS several years ago and bought the A10c and played for a while but the A-10 was so complicated and difficult to enjoy flying I dropped out and then I retired and said this time I'm going for it and bought a Mirage 2000c and had a blast, bought several since, but still not sure about getting on a server with strangers and playing, I'm more into getting things right and doing my best while others really don't care, so I never know what I'm going to get into. so I just do my thing and enjoy.

I heard ED was working on a dynamic mission editor, have they put out any time frame of when they start, and how long they might expect it to be to Beta?
-
Not sure if it's a bug, but in some airfields on the PG map, I am getting Russian voices on ATC, I think it is when I use the 250 ~ Mhz channels. Is this normal, or a bug? What is normal procedure when setting Frequencies on the PG? There is a list of FreQ's and sometimes I can't input the one I want to use (in the ME).

I believe that all the hard work that went into the Hornet will pay off in dividends as they will be able to bring to fruition a quality product much sooner this time around, and hopefully in the future also. The time spent was updating their base code along with updating old simulations and improved tech to allow a higher quality sim and also make it easier to bring other modules to a finished state sooner. That's my personal opinion.

So, was there any mention on how long the sale will last?
-
Actually it will /can be mounted on a cheek mount replacing one of your Sparrow/AMRAAM's. You will still be able to carry a center mounted fuel tank.
-
Or, with luck, you will have a friend with Internet and you take your PC over and do it there. Be sure to take care of him with a new module, ;) You can fly without the internet, but you will be forced to log into the internet about once every two weeks or so to (verify accounts and DRM's) ensure things are on the up and up.
