Seems last couple updates this Module is all but not abandonware but not far off. Bug fixes on some of the updates however when you read it into them it seems we are missing the forrest for the trees anymore and they are just adding lines of text to show "something is getting done" however there has been quite some time that anything new was added or features completed. Still waiting on many other things like damage model and all other from the long post from WHOGX5 made quite some time ago. Guess ED is on to the next big thing, Sad really but we are at the point like many other modules before where its done and will be the slow trickle of feature creep. Any comments otherwise will be un based or just purely speculation. Proof is in the pudding. Might as well just close this thread as its just not happening.

Well to my surprise landing in Korea at an undisclosed airbase in an un mentioned other simulator in a completed working F-16 viper the hook system worked. Was so cool declaring an emergency with ATC and running the procedure. Not expecting the arresting system to work like DCS, but in the sim it’s actually modeled ! So cool just putting the info out there

After flying the DCS viper for over 4 years now in DCS and watching its most recent development progress slow significantly this last year all the while still striving for more systems functionality, yet alone the damage model to accompany it. I am starting to realize now any hops of a runway arrestor system for the Viper is really just a pipe dream. Oh well.

True. However running a modded game precludes you from playing online in any other server unless those mods are running or IC is off. It just comes down to lack of content in DCS.

maybe off topic apologize however would the new INS and alignment cause the datalink of SPI or waypoints to be off on the other recieving aircraft when online multiplayer ? seems no matter if its a WP HSI datalink share or even a TGP markpoint share they are always off (wrong coordinates transmitted) to the other aircraft ? THanks

Agreed. With the onset of the apache, it just brings to light the large lack of infantry assets in DCS especially animated ones. Still have been working with the same 4 soldiers the last decade. Soldier M4, Solder 249, Soldier AK, RPG. This especially when mods are so highly discouraged from the developers. Really amazing to me the community has not chimed in on this with the lack of COIN assets. I am really starting to think the only solution would be paid content packs or some type of contract ED works with another 3d party like currenthill to start bringing more assets into DCS Core.

unfortunately still difficult to see as of April 2024. Also the yellow mod no longer works. Breaks some functionality in the different pages.

Thanks again for your help and inspiration on design idea. Worked and mounted great after some design adjustments on a Poang Simchair. Might have to switch to an aluminum flanged sleeve bearing for better durability.
