Hello All. I am planning to get oculus rift cv1 for dcs world. There are a few question I would like to ask to the member already using the rift. First. How is the pixel density and overall experience. I currently use 1080p lcd. How is the pixel density of rift as compared to 1080p lcd. Will it be Better or worst ? Second. Are you guys able to read the instrument panel clearly. What about the HUD ? Is it clearly readible? Third. Currently I use the hatch switch to look around which is pretty much ok. Is rift better for situational awarness and overall looking around? Finally is it recommended getting a rift keeping in view the current pixel density etc ?? Thanks.

So what I understand from this is that if I want to re install OS and before that I deactivate the modules in DCS then number of activations will not be affected. Is it correct ? And please clarify what u mean by old activation system? Thanks

Hi..I had to re install dcs couple of times due to windows problem and number of activations left on my modules have decreased. Now, with the release of stable 2.5 I am planning to have a fresh install from scratch. If I run out of number of activations left .... Is it possible to get some more activations on modules via customer support ? Currently I have NTTR, Normandy, F15c and su27. Thanks.

First hot fixes will come for OB version. Then the fixes will be tried on the beta version. Its not necessary that the fixes will work on the first try. There seems to be no chance of release version tommorow. If it comes then it will be nothing less than a miracle.

A fix would be nice then. I have played many demanding games and RAM usage never crosses 10 Gbs.

try to get 32 gbs ram. people are reporting for 2.5.... 16 GB is not enough. Now I am not sure whether its a bug or what....

Well I am no expert but would like to give me opinion. 30nm is a lot of distance. A fighter aircraft's radar is not powerful enough like an awacs. If the boggy is at low altitude, the radar might now be able to detect it due to ground interference. Secondly, cold or flanking aspect also makes it difficult for radar to detect. Only a real fighter pilot can shed some light on how close dcs is to reality when it comes to radar.

I too want to increase RAM from 16 to 32, but the prices have gone insanely high. And I have researched that DDR4 are not expected to do down anywhere in near future bcoz ddr4 and being used in cell phones and lots of other electronic equipement also. Hence there is a demand supply gap. On the otherhand, Graphic cards are expensive due to mining. Etherium is still very much proftable. It was even profitable when it was at $300. Right now its hovering around 850. U can do the math.

May be its time to upgrade from 16 GB to 32 GB. I am sure the stuttering problem is due to RAM.

Release version one of two weeks after beta. Atleast thats what they planned. 2 weeks time is about to be finished. Lets hope for the best.

China is an economic giant. They have lots of money and are fully capable of producing state of the art weapons. Each and every sohpisticated electronic product is being manufactured in china. I am sure their stealth fighters will be competetive.

Thanks to all those people who have installed and tested the beta version and reported the bugs...so that at the end of the day, we can have a stable bug free version. I would say ED take your time. Greatness doesnt come easily.

I am still waiting for the release version. I just hope the reported bugs get sorted out quickly.

I think this is the worst time for purchasing RAMs and Graphic cards. Prices are insanely high.

Yes same here. Nothing to worry. I havent found a use for that slider till now. everything else works well. The centering and rudder control is very nice. Any specific change between the x52 and x52 pro other than an additional spring. I have heard the pro has more Hall sensors but logitech has not advertised this thing anywhere. I mean if a company adds a feature they advertise it like crazy. but no mention of double hall sensors any where.

U mean the little slider on the throttle? After almost a decade of use it must be needing little cleaning. Mine is more than 10 years old. Almost everything working fine. It is pre madcatz so the quality was good at that time. Not sure about today's quality.

x52 for USD 405/- ???? Where are you checking the prices dude. Its not that expensive. Brand new saitek x52 is for USD 150. And yes its a very nice, durable and accurate controller.

One thing I would like to ask in this thread. X52 has hall sensors which are magnetic and dont have contact surfaces which can be worn out with time. Then how does an ageing controller loose accuracy. Secondly, anyone can guide what is a curve and how to set it.

After 3 hours of flying, not only system but also the pilot can crash.
