I am also the one waiting for the release version. Sooner or later it will come. Its better to play 1.5 stable version than 2.5 beta version. let the dust settle down.

True...hardware is going up through the roof. I built my pc for approx $2500 eight months ago. Now everything is up atleast 30%. Later I Wanted to upgrade RAM from 16 to 32 but could not due to the price increase. But look at this. The system has not only given me awsome gaming experienced but also mined 3.0 Etherum coins in the last eight months which is today above $3000. and still going strong. 24 hrs 100% load since I got it.

Please note that its ok to take longer to load but its not ok to stutter while in game. This is perfectly fine if its taking longer to load. Means data is being loaded in RAM once and for all. Once loaded it should not read from HDD anymore. 8 GB Ram wont cut it. U need atleast, I mean, ATLEAST 16 GBs to run latest games.

Everything seems to be ok....now please launch the release version

To play latest games, you have to have latest hardware. Thats a bitter reality of gaming.

Awsome. Hence if one member is getting good results it means there is nothing wrong with the map or 2.5 release. Check your settings.

With 1080ti u should be getting awsome fps. There is a setting, I dont exactly remember, but I think its dept of field. Its a big fps eater. Turn it off and hopefully u will get good fps. As regards your friend's system, The resolution must be low. with 1080p and everything maxed out, if hes getting 60+fps near ground, then its nothing less than a miracle.

Nvidia has not released driver since Jan 08 2018. My sixth sense tells me the next driver will have an official SLI profile for DCS 2.5. Even if it doesnt have, Nvidia inspector can make SLI to work. I made it work in 2.2 with approx 80% boost in fps with no side effects. its very simple process. During the last one year the only game I have installed and checked which doesnt OFICIALLY uses sli is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and DCS world. Cant think of any other famous title which does not utilize sli. ED Team please add an official profile.

yes but people who dont have 1.5 beta will have to wait for 2 or 3 more weeks. but its ok. Lets enjoy the old 1.5.8 untill then. It has entertained us for so long. let it be a few more weeks. :megalol:

I also think they should launch the stable version by end of january. But we should keep in mind it was not a deadline, it was an estimate. ED is not bound by anything to meet deadlines or promises specially keeping in mind that we have not been charged anything. Its a free update. So its ok if they take their time. Wheneven it comes it will be awsome.

I TB is enough for all the versions of DCS. I bought 250 GB samsung SSD specially for DCS 2.5. But I will wait for the stable release. :thumbup:

Thats exactly what lots of people would like to know.

So people who dont wanna have beta version should wait untill 2.5 stable is out. whenever that is. Lets hope its released soon after beta. cant wait to fly on the new caucauss :megalol:

Great ... thanks for the detailed answer. Actually I did not understand the difference between beta and stable version. Now after reading ur post, to some extent i understand. Beta version always get updates prior as compared to stable version. So thats y some people prefer to keep beta. It means that there will alway be a 2.5 beta also just like 1.5.8 beta. My understanding of beta was that its an experimental version launched prior to stable version so that if there are any bugs, they can be fixed. Thanks for clarifying
