If u r that clear please answer a few queries of mine. 1 - At stage 1..... 1.5.8 beta will be updated to 2.5 beta. But my question is why would someone have 1.5.8 beta version when 1.5.8 stable is out there? .... 2 - My assumption was that 2.5 will merge all version and wre will have one version that is 2.5. But if we opt not to un install 1.5.8 and 2.2 then does it mean that we will end up having three different versions? 3 - if 2.2 will be dead after 2.5, then why we will get option to keep 2.2 dead version ?

PC showing age, Would a RAM upgrade help?
Drag80 replied to Mtnbiker1998's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Your statement was perfectly fine. Mr. Biker seems to be a little sensitive about his laptop. Its human nature to fall in love with machines. But computer technology becomes obselete very fast. thats the way it is. -
Yes I have no problem using debit visa card. U have to make sure that the login information of DCS(Name adress etc) matches with your debit card information. If not, your bank would not accept it. This is a security feature.

Yes I know :-). Portability is a great feature of a laptop. But it cannot be compared with performance of a desktop. To enjoy hardcore gaming....desktop is the way to go. -
PC showing age, Would a RAM upgrade help?
Drag80 replied to Mtnbiker1998's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ram upgrade will make a difference but not much. your VGA card is weak. 2 GB VRAM wont cut it. secondly u shd have atleast 16 GB system Ram. I can only run normandy oh high settings when two 1070s are running in sli. on a single 1070 fps drops to 38-40 near ground. its a hardware demanding simulator -
honest opinions - big screen gaming: 1080 vs 4K
Drag80 replied to dooom's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
with a 50 inch screen u will have to sit alteast 5 to 6 feet away to have optimum vision and pixel density with 1080p. with 4k u can get as close as u want. IMO DCS does not require a very high refresh rate. However, if u play fast action games like first person shooter than refresh rate will matter alot. -
Somewhere between 70 and 80 gbs. rough estimate
-
Its hard to say at this time. Once 2.5 is released then we will see how the map performs on average hardware as compared to normandy.
-
Once that they have purchased the license of Speedtree, it should be feasible for them to incorporate the technology in all the maps. The performance of normandy is awful. I mean how many people have 1080tis? I am a bit lucky to have sli worked successfully. on a single 1070 it was utter dissapointment.

haha wheres the like button

Your question is difficult to understand. While on ground you should be able to remove the external tanks via ground grew. If u r able to jettison ur tanks while on ground sure seems to be a bug. The external tanks have a seperate feed system. while there is fuel in the external tanks ur internal will not be consumed.

Intel i5-2500K still up to it for DCS?
Drag80 replied to parxuk's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ideal combination with your processor would be a gtx 1060 with atleast 6 GB Vram. U should be able to run 2.5 in medium low settings. -
Any idea why they are not being recycled ?

U can trade etherium directly. There are several websites which offer p2p sale. Direct credit in Bank account. Bitcoin is not involved. -
GTX 1070 prices through the roof!
Drag80 replied to Ratfink's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Etherrum and bitcoin are not going any where. These spikes are part of the game. Etherum fell to $770 yday and today its again touching $1000. In last 8 months, my two 1070s have not only fully paid their price but also paid off all off the gaming PC price. Now its all a bonus. However, point to be noted is that bitcoin gained its value due to the fact that in the beginning it had low transaction fees and ease of payment. However, now the bitcoin trasaction fees is too high and network is over loaded and slow making it more expensive than the centralized financial system. I dont see a good future for bitcoin. However etherum is the next bitcoin according to my opinion. The transaction fees and very low and system is fast. And currently 1070s are one of the best mining cards. The price drop was temporary. It will go up again. So dont get ur hopes too high for the price drop in VGA cards. -
You should be able to use as many ssds as there are sata ports in your motherboard. I am currently using 5 sata drives without issues.

Problem with Nevada Test Range Purchase - Please Help
Drag80 replied to captflyby's topic in Payment and Activation
May be you forgot to confirm the use bonus option. I think your bonus may not have utilized and u still have it. -
I am talking about the mini button with the mini stick. Its position is very handy as its located very close to the thumb. The SST software could not help to assign the button in DCS. However, the procedure in my first post solved the problem. All you have to do is keep the properties window open. but U will have to compromise the ministick itself as it wont work.

Anxiously waiting for 2.5.
