Thanks Dawu  -
Maybe you need to get a replacement spring for it?? Mine are less than 2 months old and the center position would be very hard to miss.

Vista and Multi-core/Multi-CPUs, Continued
Shrubbo replied to ericinexile's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Nah its all good, It's a PEBKAC problem here (Problem exists between keyboard and chair for those that don't know). I would rather shut up about it and slink off but hey I already posted a negative in a good thread so I best speak up. The scripts works perfectly for me with trackir running faultlessly now. The problem that I had was that the trackir sensor had dipped down slightly and could no longer see the third reflector. Only sometime thus the intermittent problem. It wasn't until I used the trackir view tools and looked at what it see that I decided I should turn the light on and look at the trackir sensor. So once again thank you very much guys, this has fixed a pain in the ass. -

Thanks for the scripts and info guys, unlike set affinity II this seems to work every time. SAII I sometimes had to tab out and just look at it to get both cores going (wtf). This just works with no extra crud in my task bar. BTW TrackIr 4 here and no problems what so ever, thanks again. -
It's the ultimate stealth, right in front of your face. I can't laugh tho, I did exactly the same thing :)

Cockpit FOV for triplehead user ?
Shrubbo replied to Damocles's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This thread will tell you what you need to know :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34832 -
Good luck, every time I have tried the train stops dead as soon as you touch it..... with inevitable results. Let me know if you have success and I will go check it out again and see what I was doing wrong.

Yes always.

Wouldn't be much point to it if it was pork choppy would it ;) vista 32 sp1 home premium 4 gig of named pc800 ram, been a while so i can't remember the brand. E6850 @ 3ghz intel dual core Gigabyte p35-ds4 mb Gigabyte gtx 260oc graphics. Textures HIGH Scenes HIGH CIV Traffic Yes Water Low Vis Range Medium Shadows Active Planar Cockpit res 1024 In nHancer Multisampling 4x with supersampling checked Anisotropic 16x High qual textures. As for some sort of frame comparison, the first mission in the Russian version, the one where you shoot up the Yankee dogs ;) 200 FoV Min 33 fps (Never dropped below this) Max was 70+ That's what I got at the moment, bound to fiddle some more. IE heat blur made bugger all dif, just haven't put it back yet etc but you should get a general idea.

Can a single Geforce 260 support a 40" LCD?
Shrubbo replied to SunDown's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Geforce 260 is definitely dual link. -
If you be on fire you may want and need it :megalol:

Yeah it is awesome. The only prob I have is that BS doesn't like starting up 1440x900 desktop. It starts but is minimized and won't maximize. So as a quick fix I just change the desktop to 1280x800 and BS starts fine. BS is set to run at 1440x900 so once I actually start the game I get 1440x900. Doesn't seem to like the GUI for some reason. I would love to try 1680x1050 but my monitors wont drop to the required 57hz. I will fix that sooner or later tho :) BTW out of the box the digital TH2G won't do high res widescreen, it needs a firmware update you download. Easy as. Also note I bought the digital, more expensive but has the "picture behind the bezel so it all lines up nice" technology. Worth it I think.
-
My experience with TH2G was the same as TrackIr.... "Why the hell didn't I do this before?!?". That about sums it up. Vista 32 home premium sp1 Gigabyte P35-ds4 mb Intel 6850 dual core at 3ghz 4 gig of pc800 ram *Brand name but can't remember it off hand. Gigabyte gt 260oc graphics Runs quite well, in the first mission in the Russian version (The one where you shoot up the yankee dog convoys) in never once drops below 33fps. The max I noticed was around 65+. That would be with 220o field of view as well. Overall I am pretty happy :)
-
This link here will give you info on FoV fix for ultra widescreen resolutions, thanks to urze btw :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34832 Below is some screen shots taken at 4320x900 (3x24 inch widescreen monitors). The matrox TH2g will actually go up to 1680x1050x3 but my monitors won't drop to the 57hz required. They have resized to 2160x450 I think by photobucket but it should give you an idea. Surround gaming as it seems to be called is absolutly awesome.

The stupidiest thing you're done in BS

Snap rolls don't seem to be working out the best for me ;) -
I tend to ignore the ball and am only interested in the wind vains on the front. Would prefer a piece of string tho...that never fails:thumbup:

I have CH rudders as well and I set the right pedal up as a toe brake.
-
I'm have been running all CH gear for maybe a month now. Pro pedals, pro throttle and fighterstick. Basically I have 3 points to say about them. 1: Such a long way from cheap. 2: Only their mother could love the look of them. Winna of the 2008 non sexy-pig dog ugly-Welcome to last century-Where the hell is the cool-award. 3: Best controllers I have ever owned. Awesome fidelity. Very very happy with them as I wanted quality out of the box un-modded stuff I didn't have to fool with and it seems that so far I have got exactly that. Longevity is the only thing I can not attest to yet but from what I have read when I was doing my research into what to buy things looked pretty good. Time will tell :)

Brisbane as well here, actually far enough outside of it that I don't have to look at but close enough ;P

Sim only, I just love to fly the thing :)

ANybody using 1920x1080 resolution?
Shrubbo replied to JG27_Arklight's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
It looks like BS supports just about any res you can throw at it. I was running at 1920x1200 (I had no alignment issued that jason had tho), now running at 4320x900. I had to edit the view.lua file (Thanks again urze) to get the FOV to my liking but the game natively supported the res no problem. -

Can a single Geforce 260 support a 40" LCD?
Shrubbo replied to SunDown's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Cranked the fan up from the default 40%. It's now set at 80% and the noise is far less then the case fans. In fact I would not have noticed except I was listening for it when I applied the settings. It is now sitting at 43c and ran up around 60c when running bs. -

Heh the fan is actually super quiet because it is still on auto. I was a little concerned myself until I looked it up in google and it seems to be about the going rate. Considering the ambient temperature at the time in here I was actually more then happy. It doesn't seem to glitch up or give me any problems what so ever. Truth be told I did crank the case extraction and blower fans up to max after that tho :D Now my 8800gt card when it's fan spun up high was LOUD !!
