  1. I am not sure if this has been answered already. Apologies if I spawned a new thread. But why exactly was the 2007 picked and not the 2008 or 2009?
  2. A-10C has triple racks for the Mavericks, yet they were never carried in actual operations. I don't see why the F-16CM is now suddenly applied to not have this either.
  3. Both Hoggit and the forums behave in different ways, but it should not be a generation label. Let's not try to shift the blame onto another platform because of the vocality and feedback of users on the Viper.
  4. Looking forward to the update. Thank you for all of your hard work!
  5. Thanks. And for phase 2, is there any certainty on how long that may take?
  6. Are we still going to hear about that major update we're supposed to be getting for the Viggen? I feel like the flash sale just puts that to a mute. :(
  7. So, I figured that I would ask this question sooner than later. How will the F-16C development time compare similarly to the Hornet's time in EA? Will we see the F-16 to be finished faster, or almost the same time as the Hornet?
  8. I hope this as well, that or the A-6. But the EA-6B is what we really need.
  9. Chuck is quick! Glad to see yet another guide maker working on this beautiful warbird module.
  10. Thanks on the guide! I plan to use this more regularly with the kneeboard. :)

    English cockpit?

Yes and no. The English cockpit would really help understand the gauges and what they are, but the more time you spend with a module that has a foreign language inside of the cockpit, you more the memorize what each particular thing does. Nobody learns a startup based off of the textured text, but the shape/position inside. People figure out gauges relatively easy as well based off of how they change and what controls inputted cause what.
  12. Response about this from OctopusG:
  13. Using charts as a defense of saying that an aircraft is superior to another is not a good way to set the argument. Unless those who say this is armchair experts who have the right setup and skills for their aircraft, it reasonably varies from person to person. Nobody expects an L-39ZA outfitted with R-60M's to be able to shoot down an F-5 because of its wing buffeting at high AoA and stabilizer deflection, but it still happens. Likewise, a bad pilot always makes a bad aircraft. Same can be said the other way around.
  14. I apologize and do beg pardon because this was already implemented before it even came out. Why was it removed in the first place if it was accurate?
  15. What really disturbs me about this module is exactly this one section. It looks and feels almost golden everywhere else, EXCEPT for the missing sound. I know there is always something to complain about here, but how come we no longer have this spinning sound when the starter is pulled?
  16. No, it's not overkilling, it's how the law works in the U.S. The F-16C documentation was already publicized on the internet which does not make sense as to why the developer was trying to already get manuals on the aircraft, and the F-22/F-35 are both 5th generation aircraft that are classified. Imagine a foreigner that is an adversary of yours not in the best of political terms trying to obtain those manuals. Makes sense to me as to why it would be taken not-so-lightly.
  17. CockpitLocalPoint is the coordinate point for the cockpit model relative to the external model, (ie. visibility track) but no clue on EyePoint. The camera position by default will be the center of origin inside of the 3D model.
  18. Thank you for your hard work for this project Merker. I wish you the best in your future endeavors!

    Presenting the team

Happens all the time, no sweat. :D AFAIK ED was helping with the FM making part as I read from the russian I-16 thread.
  20. I was just wondering if we could possibly see who exactly is/are forming OctopusG besides the support of ED in the I-16 module project. :)

    An2

Got to it faster than I could! +1
  22. No, but you could shoot a bazooka!
  23. Does this mean that we will see a new 3rd party subforums here for them? :D
  24. I would like to personally congratulate OctopusG on their endeavors for being able to make this happen, ever since it was mod status. Great work! :)
  25. Another 3D model that I have been working on is the ASK-23B, a single-seat glider that first flew in 83' October. This has been something of a project of mine that I have gone back and forth to every now and then, making adjustments to the model. I have no official plans to bring this to DCS but wanted to share it in case if anyone was interested in it. The following are renders with Matcap. 6 2 3 4 1 5
