Using Oculus must be giving me a different gamma affect at different settings than you...I should have asked what you are using.
Good read on your comparison link, thanks.
As the sun begins to set until it totally disappears or as the sun begins to rise until it is totally up, visually is a very nice time to fly. Gamma setting has a lot to do with what hour of the evening or morning this happens.
When you create weather conditions it's at the top under month, choose a month to correspond to the season you want.
AFAIK only when you 'create fast mission' off the main menu page does it give you the season to choose.
I'm running anywhere from 1.5 - 2.0.
During daytime gamma setting is not really an issue but it gets tricky when you want to generate a realistic sunrise and sunset.
With adjustable gamma setting and everyone set to a different level how do we set it properly for the time of day/evening/night so we have the corresponding amount of sky light or dark?
Thank you.
I have the new grey X56...same software. I really enjoy it a lot as it allows for macros and multi-mode.
Play around get to know what commands you want to map to your HOTAS, put them into your software and you're good to go. If you map directly to DCS then there are different procedures that I can explain later.
Also the input device forum might be a better place to look for info.
