When the tpod is slewed off boresight it will lock on to the last location it is slewed to. Is there anyway to keep it from locking onto last location slewed and have it snowplow instead as it does when on boresight?
Thank you.
Since the last DCS update oculus rift is having trouble receiving DCS start screen image, I just see a black screen or sometimes the OR home screen.
It takes a couple of system reboots to clear the problem.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
My left sensor is 16" below my head, the right sensor is 16" above my head 3 feet away at 45 degrees. The left sensor is aimed toward my chest and the right sensor toward my head. After trying several different setup positions this captures all my movements very well. Perhaps having this further away will accommodate both of your needs.
Tweaking the final positions is advised if you use Oculus VR hand held devices.
Thanks all for your help, after an hour of testing jsow using tpod; atrk & ptrk = both are very accurate for pinpoint attack
ptrk = will auto track moving tgt which so far is the only functional difference I see between atrk & ptrk. I saw no correlation to the previous posts saying atrk & ptrk do different functions except for ptrk auto tracks moving tgts.
In your example, are you saying ptrk can only capture an entire object such as your 4 storey building, then it will auto-center on the entire object, whereas atrk allows for choosing an individual floor...more for surgical strikes?
Thanks!
So then it's not necessary to TDC depress before releasing a jsow, just have the tpod reticle cross pointing to the target?
Except for a moving target can't ptrk or atrk be used for a stationary target?
Some questions:
Is atrk considered 'snow plow' and ptrk position locks the lens on its last position slewed for lasing?
Is there a way to quick center the tpod?
Besides the tpod position dot on the DDI is there any other info source to tell you where it's looking relative to the aircraft?
Thanks.
I thought as much and have had some success with it keeping the plane level when doing the targeting inputs but sometimes not...so I was wondering.
Thanks.
Sometimes I can't get the plane to trim with weapons no matter how much trimming I do. Also, is it normal to have to trim each time a weapon is released?
I try and balance my loadout but still it seems to be a constant battle.
Thank you.
I've tried finding step by step how to use TPOD, couldn't...just everyone saying how great it is
LITENING and TPOD what is the difference?
Thanks for any help.
