  1. The looseness I experience is not coming from what problem you are having, mine is very tight there. It is coming from the spring seat not being wide enough at the beginning range of movement to make instant contact with the base rim it presses up against causing the first few millimetres of movement to have no spring pressure. I've tried thinking of a fix but don't have one yet...I have an open ticket with Logitech on this matter.
  2. I like the X-56 but how do you tighten up the no-tension in the middle [neutral spot] of the joystick?
  3. As an option you can enable a very visible dot to appear where your tgt plane is, in settings.
  4. I asked a question several posts back and would like to try and please get an answer. If ED closes their sim doors one day what happens to our sim modules? Will MP be able to be played elsewhere on another server perhaps? I know when my internet service is interrupted there's a message saying I can only fly for a couple of days. If it could happen to Jane's sim division it could happen to any company.
  5. I noticed the other day when my internet went down that I only had a limited period of time [a day or 2] to continue using single player. What would happen if ED/DCS went out of business? Would we lose the ability to fly single/multiplayer with all our purchased modules?
  6. Thanks for the heads up...VR spy glass zoom is it's name under UI Layer.
  7. Have to give up my day job cheers!
  8. For me when you say learning too much at once will overload my circuits...you are absolutely correct. The only frustration I come across is not knowing what is bugged and/or not yet implemented, that's why this form is so affective! Thanks sk000tch and all the other contributors you help keep a lot of us on course
  9. Great info...thanks Is the difference between LTWS vs. TWS with the latter capable of allowing missile fire but with LTWS as you mentioned, cannot fire missile?
  10. In BVR, I'd like to better understand the differences between: when the TDC is moved over a target without Throttle Designator Controller - Depress when the TDC is moved over a target and you Throttle Designator Controller - Depress 1X when the TDC is moved over a target and you Throttle Designator Controller - Depress a second time [this being STT lock] Also, what does the target aircraft hear and/or see between the 3 above options, in terms of being made aware of what you are doing... Thank you.
  11. Yes because I fly VR I do dim the MPCD a bit for better contrast.
  12. I turn A/A off to get out of ACM...didn't know SCS at present state can do that.
  13. Just discovered something good...if you select SA page for the MPCD there is a Map option [button 11 I think] that allows the SA page to function over the Map. Also SCS aft will now work making the MPCD SOI when you are configured as mentioned. This is great for those like me who like having the MPCD map open.
  14. Thanks I did what you said and it works in VR...when on monitor you don't have to CTRL + Y to see the base info.
  15. CTRL + Y brings up the info bar...I'm referring to this: Capture.JPG Unless it has changed, I'll try it tomorrow.
  16. Just double checked...it's only the left DDI that gets cut off at the bottom of the screen. I use the map on the MPCD so I don't want to use that display leaving the right display, then radar will have to go on the left DDI
  17. Yes it'll be nice when implemented!
  18. I was reading this awhile ago from p.108: MK Option. Pressing the MK option button saves a mark point at the location of the aircraft when the button was pressed. Up to nine mark points can be created. After the ninth, the first mark point will be over-written and so forth. Not implemented at Early Access release. Can a mark point be used as a Waypoint?
  19. I'm a bit confused, I understand ACM(boresight/VS/wacq) can be canceled by pressing undesignate/NWS button as well as by selecting gun [weapon select aft]. I thought when in ACM boresight/VS/wacq this is considered AACQ, please clarify?A few updates ago I used to see the letters AACQ on the HUD but no more. Update: I stand corrected, confusing all 4 acquisition modes in ACM as AACQ. From manual; Automatic Acquisition Mode (AACQ) is selected from the BVR RADAR modes, like RWS. It is not selected from the ACM modes. When in a BVR RADAR mode and the TDC cursor is not over a target symbol, the RADAR will attempt to auto lock the nearest target in its search pattern when the Sensor Control switch is moved right. AACQ searches for targets out to range setting of the RADAR. Now I see AACQ on the HUD! The manual gets easier to understand once the basics are understood...thanks to all the info contributors for your help!
  20. Also the SA page does not display properly on the DDIs, the very bottom is cut-off preventing some of the info from being displayed...my issue is I like having the map displayed so I accept the compromise.
  21. Great explanation! Also I believe the weapon release button has to be held down for the entire time all the bombs take to release...at least this is what I believe I read.
  22. On my monitor I can see all the info at the bottom of the screen when I press F11 airport free camera. In VR I see no info at the bottom of the screen telling me which airfield I'm looking at and whether or not it's red/blue/neutral. Is there a way to view this info in VR? Thank you.
  23. Yes I do have A/A master mode bound and toggle off also does the job. What about exiting ACM...the only way I've found is to toggle off A/A master mode, correct?
  24. I take it the last few posts are referring to the map on the MPCD not being able to be SOI...the SOI can be moved to the right and left DDI when HSI is being referenced as well as the SA page on the MPCD.
