  1. I found running with preload maxed out actually smoothed out performance. Perhaps 8gig v-ram and 64gig ram allows for less file swapping back and forth?
  2. Did you try enabling sync HOTAS at game start-up in the settings?
  3. Do you mean enable anti-skid option?
  4. Hey dburne...I started with dumb bombs then went on to JDAM/JSOW using the TPOD then the Maverick. Have you spent time learning the very complex radar system and RWR along with the SCS and weapon designation? The best way is to go up with someone w/comms and you can cut the learning time down a lot! Unfortunately I can't get people easily to fly 1 on 1 for that purpose...
  5. As for differential braking, I find takeoff is more of an oversteer issue than landing. Is disabling NWS the procedure after xx/kts speed or is it just a fix for the F/A-18? I know in modern commercial airlines it's done automatically.
  6. The F/A-18 even with rudder curvatures tested as high as 40, which helps, the plane still oversteers on touchdown & takeoff. The nosewheel if turned slightly too much runs the plane off the runway. There was only one other plane I found that had this issue and I had to disable nosewheel steering once I reached 50 kts. to maintain directional control. Anyone have a solution for the F/A-18? Thank you.
  7. What do the other options do?
  8. I flew MP for over 1.5 hrs. with different servers. The autoexec.cfg not only smoothed out my Rift performance but it also sped up the MP load times, from joining server to rolling, by 10-15 times faster. I haven't deleted the 2 shader folders a lot of people talk about...should I? What are hotplug events?
  9. Using the KBB is it capable of allowing the use of several separate folders within the active KB you are using with a particular plane, or do you have to go spectator and do the change out of game?
  10. Have you added mods if so go back to vanilla? I'd run the DCS 'Repair' if no mods have been added.
  11. I've tried changing the values in DCS and it doesn't pass IC either
  12. It was the KB Builder's relocation and size of KB that I liked the program for...too bad.
  13. Do all these kneeboard programs clear the integrity check in MP? I stopped using kneeboard builder several years ago because it didn't.
  14. Does kneeboard builder pass integrity check?
  15. Sometimes deleting the metashaders2 files and allowing them to be rebuilt when you restart, clears up some issues like what you're describing. I have done it in the past with some good results. There are a couple of good posts about this try searching metashaders2 and metashaders. Good luck!
  16. We knew what you meant
  17. Latching the zoom is convenient.
  18. When the radar TDC cursor scan numbers show as an example -3000 to 14,000 ft, I'm assuming this is barometric? If so, then the minus number is always basing ground level at 0 ft barometric regardless of topographic altitude? edit: =4c=Nikola just noticed your post, I must have been composing when you posted...great minds think alike
  19. "-" Radar Elevation Control - Down "=" Radar Elevation Control - Up
  20. Thanks all for the follow-up! A great contributor like daarseth gets a pass in my books
  21. On the subject of radar scan range...the TDC elevation scan numbers indicate the amount of feet above ground level the radar is scanning. Then what do the values in the minus feet indicate?
  22. "RAlt - Home" Throttle (Left) - IDLE "RAlt - End" Throttle (Left) - OFF "9" Throttle (Left) - OFF/IDLE "RShift - Home" Throttle (Right) - IDLE "RShift - End" Throttle (Right) - OFF "0" Throttle (Right) - OFF/IDLE May not be default mapping so check.
  23. I thought the DDI EW page was the same as the Azimuth Indicator. What is the difference between the 2? Thank you.
