I zero out wind so there is no wind, no weapons but the plane slowly rolls right anyway. Trimming will correct to level flight but I didn't think trimming is necessary in the F-18 except when landing with flaps. Some instant missions I have no issue with roll but some I do, all have no wind...would cross wind if there was, roll a plane? Any idea what is causing this? Thank you.

There is Mode 1, Mode 2 and S1, what is the functional difference using the S1 as the 3rd Mode?

This was Logitech's reply to my request they build shift states into their software...why it wasn't there to start with I don't know as any button can be designated a shift key. Of course we can still create layered shift states with modifiers... Please be informed that as for the X56, you are limited to only the 3 different modes instead of unlimited shift states that were allowed with the X52 Pro. We are afraid we can not confirm if this will be included in an upcoming update, but we will make sure to take note and relay this to our appropriate team.

Spoke to Logitech about implementing shift states in their next software redo...

I'm off to practice...thanks again!

X-56: By converting the throttle or stick ministick into 4 distinct bands and mapping alt, ctrl, shft and win as modifiers you are able to assign 5 axis commands per rotor to control all the lighting or any other axis commands you want.

And will have a box or diamond around the L&S target?

Thanks Jak525 for the follow-up. Yes I always knew what L&S stood for but was never sure what it actually did when I was in L&S. So the Sidewinder first has to be seeker locked [not radar lock] before you can cage/uncage? I thought when selected the AIM-9 is boresight by default and with cage/uncage it can be taken off boresight and allowed to be seeker active to track on its own, all without radar? It will also automatically radar track when radar enabled or when in auto acquisition...correct?

Designated Track While Scan (DTWS) is what I was referring to. When you press 1 time on designator when cursor is over tgt, it allows for 2 targets to be designated while still scanning isn't that DTWS but TWS isn't enabled yet? Then when you press a second time it goes to STT. What is 'L&S' actually referring to? anyone finding cage/uncage sometimes will work but not always. Are there specific perameters that have to be met? Thanks guys for you input!

What does the pilot being radar scanned hear or see in their plane when you?: STT...second press of the designator? LTWS DTWS L&S and D2...do you get a shoot cue? cage / uncage sometimes works and sometimes not with sidewinder, is there a certain parameter that has to be met? Thank you.

ALR-67 RWR (Radar Warning Receiver) Control Buttons • POWER pushbutton: turns on RWR • DISPLAY pushbutton: when pressed, LIMIT light on DISPLAY pushbutton comes on and emitter display is limited to the six highest priority emitters. DIS (Display) Type Selector Selects priority of emitter type to be displayed • N: Normal • I: Intercept • A: AAA (Anti-Aircraft Artillery) • U: Unknown • F: Friendly

Exactly! So make it a macro this way you can leave it where you want and the key press will time out as you set it.
-
Do you leave the F rotor in extend position until you turn it to retract? Or do you wait till it's fully extended and then go to the detent 0 position?

Thanks all for your input!

Will putting a check mark in the option box to enable auto trimmer allow for a more realistic flight behavior or is it considered a cheat? Thank you.

I never liked the location of the mode switch and the awkward position your hand had to be to switch it. You can assign any control on your stick and have mode changing at your figure tips instead. There is more that can be done with regards to the missing shift state software that I'm working on. Could use some feedback/help with this from any interested party. Thank you.

I've had no problems the last few days logging on/off.

It's all good anything that can give you more command inputs.

In A/A I am unable to make the MPCD my SOI as well when going aft on my SCS switch and changing hats makes no difference. I even tried using the keyboard still no luck. edit: I found this in the forum and now works as intended...no AMPCD HSI movement AFT except when HSI is in the left MDI...then you have to move the sensor switch AFT to get the left MDI SOI...unintuitive behavior for me. As per manual: Sensor Control Switch Aft: When in A/G mode, this assigns TDC priority to Advanced Multipurpose Color Display (AMPCD). When in A/A mode, this assigns the TDC to the AMPCD SA page. If in an A/A ACM sub-mode, this puts radar in vertical acquisition (VACQ). If in NAV mode, this toggles the AMPCD between the HSI, SLEW, and SA pages in that order.

Is anyone finding the throttle a bit to stiff at lowest tension, Logitech said I could exchange it. I would do it if my issue was a one off.

Excellent summary backspace340, I will try this out when I get home. I am comfortable using the weapon select switch function and the sensor select switch function but what I find handcuffs me is getting in and out of these 2 selections. Once I'm in one selection I lose my way back to the other. I'm forced to turn off the A/A mode and then start over. Also, I can use RWS without enabling A/A but do all other radar functions need to have A/A enabled? Thanks again! edit: Cannot move sensor of interest down to MPCD No AMPCD HSI movement AFT except when HSI is in the left MDI...then you have to move the sensor switch AFT to get the left MDI SOI. Only SA in the AMPCD will get SOI when press AFT on the SSS...unintuitive behavior? I found this in the forum and now works as intended...As per manual: Sensor Control Switch Aft: When in A/G mode, this assigns TDC priority to Advanced Multipurpose Color Display (AMPCD). I tried this and can't get it to work as stated. I'm home and I am now patiently working SSS with the weapon selector switch choosing 1 weapon at a time...slowly starting to come together

Looks interesting! It mentions the key caps can be labelled, is that with paper or electronically...it has to be electronic.

Thanks Harker for the follow-up on the IFF. Do you have a good source for info on: STT LTWS DTWS L&S and D2 I'm not sure when pressing designate 1 time or multiple times what radar mode I'm in. Edit: reading Chuck's Guide good source

CheeseCake that video was jammed packed with info, some I got some I'll have to go back to. I need to first nail down the basics to radar a little more. What confuses me there, when the TDC is moved over a target on the radar page, I thought by pressing 'enter' 1 time you lock the target in STT and that's the only option but I see you can press 'enter' more and get different degrees of radar info plus there's LTWS but no TWS. BTW, what does the IFF button do on the UFC, is it active? Gotta go practice
