Can you just switch the field over while the helos are at the previous waypoint? Btw how do you switch airfield ownership?

Take a look at how I did it here: When you spawn into one of the hueys at Sochi it will trigger a group of CH-46's to come in, land, and pick up troops. They will then fly to a FARP to the north and disembark them. I don't bother with the embark/disembark commands, they never seem to work right, I just spawn/despawn the soldiers once certain parameters are met. I went through hell trying to get this to work. Always remember the helos will land into the wind, and they go nuts if the space they are landing is too small. We need some Harrier pilots! With the drop of the F16, vVMA-231 lost a bunch of pilots, so we have once again opened recruiting. We are part of JTF-1 and train jointly with other F18, F14, and F16 squadrons under JTF. The 231 trains to real world standards, but maintains a casual and fun tempo. We are based in the US, and consist of mostly veterans, aged 20-50. All pilots age 18+ are welcome, but you must be active with DCS and able to fly at least once every 2 weeks. If you are short on experience, no worries, we can train you if you are willing to put in the time. Members are limited to flying the AV8 on mission and training nights, but any other time you are free to fly whatever you want on our JTF joint server. It's a great setup because there are always people to fly with, and every other week we run a large scale joint mission. We train Sunday and Tuesday nights at 1930 EST. Hi all, I thought we used to have a dedicated squadron forum, but I can't seem to find it so I apologize if this post is misplaced. vVMA-231 is an active, US based AV8 squadron that trains to real world tactics and standards. We are a part of JTF-1 which consists of several F18, F14, and F16 squadrons. We maintain a joint server to train on, and conduct joint missions every few weeks with human ATC, GCI, AWACS, JTACS, etc. Our current membership is mostly USMC veterans, one of which was an AV8 maintainer. We are a great group of guys, and have a ton of fun. Now that the slow summer season is over, we are actively seeking new pilots. You don't have to be a pro, but you do have to be active. We will train you if you are willing to put in the time. Typical training/mission nights are Sunday and Tuesday, 1930 EST. I cannot see certain weapons on the F18 to load them in the mission editor or in game using the arming menu. For instance, I cannot see the TPOD or AGM 154 to place on any pylons. When I right click on station 5, I can only load the Fuel Tank and bombs. Stations 8 & 2 only allow me to load the AGM88 and the Mav E&F. I have tried the following solutions: -removed all mods -checked for updates -did a repair using skatezilla and the DOS window -Removed and reinstalled the F18 -Tried deleting the ME folder as per ED ( https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/980/ ) -Started with a NEW mission -Tried placing units on the carrier, land, and air start -I am selecting F-18C Lot 20 -Same problem AI or Client If I send the mission to anyone else, they can see the weapons and load them. If they save the loadout, I can see it in the ME but still cannot see the weapon on the dropdown if I right click on it. A little backround, I'm a very experienced DCS player, and have built dozens of very complex multiplayer missions. I've never encountered anything like this.

I can't believe this has been around for a year and I didn't know about it! I've built dozens of fairly elaborate DCS missions, geared towards multiplayer. This is an excellent tool, as it takes care of the toughest aspect of mission design for me, which is the creative process. I use the campaign manager to create the mission, I then open the miz file and modify it to fit my needs according to how many people are flying and their skill levels. I add side missions such as SEAD/DEAD and such for the extra players. A few minor bugs I've noticed: -AI aircraft will often smash into the ground a few minutes into mission start because they are spawned and orbit at too low an altitude. This bonks the whole mission as all aircraft must clear 25 feet to trigger units. In the miz I am unable to raise the AI aircraft start point, for whatever reason it's fixed around 3k agl. The fix here is to delete all other unit conditions from the "push" trigger except a single client/human unit. -It would be great if there was a way to perpetuate units placed manually in the miz, so if you add something, it's included in the next iteration. Awesome job with this, it's really a great tool. Thank you for the effort. -

My steam VR automatically starts with DCS. I made the above changes, but no matter what it just would not hold that -2.32 value, it kept going back to 10 every time I started pitool. I made the .json file "read only" after editing it, and for now it's working. Thanks! Is there a way to fix the stupid bug where I see a cloud with one eye, but not the other?

I already kind of know the answer to this, it just doesn't work. Is there anything we can do to get non-radar units to engage air targets at night? I tried setting the alert to red, and unit skill to excellent. Despite having a full moon and clear sky, AAA and other vehicle units not targeting with radar will not fire. Same goes for IR sams and manpads. Pretty lame, really kills night missions. Due to the nature of the mission, it's cumbersome to add "fire at zone or unit" triggers. I am open to any suggestions if anyone has any tricks here.

Is there an offline mode? My internet is down, possibly for a few days, and this thing won't start. Says "application download did not succeed" -
I use voice attack, but it's inconsistent because it seems that sometimes the tpod starts in standby and other times it doesn't. Pretty much gave up on this and just press the damn buttons, and yes it's a pita.

So are we better off adjusting resolution in steam vr, or pd in dcs? I currently run a pd of 1.0 and 240% in stream vr. Performance is decent, 35-40 fps at Al Dafra. I7 7700, 1080ti, 32g. Also what's everyone using to track frame rates?

Without Parallel Projections, on the Pimax I get a badly cross-eyed image. You aren't getting this? Or you don't use a Pimax? I did not have this issue with the Oculus.
