  3. Hey guys, I built this mission a few months back and myself and my squad were playing it no problem. Opened it back up tonight, and I can host it and play it fine, but nobody seems able to join. They can join my server, and I can see that they joined, but it won't let them select an aircraft. It says it requires the VPC Objects mod, which we all have. I removed all the VPC objects from the mission just for good measure, but it still says it requires VPC objects.   4. In the PG map, is there a way to fuel aircraft from the side of the road? I am able to hot start harriers from the road, but even though I place FARP ammo & fuel storage, as well as humvees, fuel trucks, etc, the ground crew doesn't answer calls to refuel/rearm. I know I can add a FARP tile and use that just fine, but I'm trying to avoid it as it's green and this is the PG map. Using the FARP mod that's out there is not an option, as this is for a squadron mission and dozens of guys would have to install that mod, which essentially replaces the green FARP tile with a flat tile that doesn't work unless the surface is perfectly flat. This screws up any other mission they may play that uses a FARP.
  5. Also, in mission editor, when you "test play" the sound file it'll more or less play at the level in game.
  6. When I'm editing sound files for mission's, I set my main volume to half what I play at, and use that as a "benchmark" for where they need to be. For whatever reason they are much quieter in game than on say, audacity.

  11. I also had issues getting this working. I added a triggered action in the transmitting unit to change to the desired freq (even though in its properties I had set it to the correct freq). Every time I triggered it to play a sound, I also triggered it to change to the desired freq. This made it work properly.
  12. I was looking for the same effect. I found that if I put a Ural 4320-31 armored near the troops, they didn't run out of ammo, at least for the 20 min that I watched!

We train every Sunday & Tues night at 0030 GMT, and fun fly most Saturdays around 1600 GMT. We are part of CSG-1 and train jointly with several other AV8 & F18 squadrons. We maintain a joint server to host missions and training, often with human ATC & JTACs. We do require all members to fly the AV8 on mission nights, but there are no restrictions on other nights or fun flights. Our focus is on realism.   15. I don't think you'll be able to get them to do that. They essentially work like a sidewinder that tracks radar emissions rather than heat. So if you were to salvo them, they'd probably all fly at the nearest emitter. The need to deselect/select them seems to be a bug or something, as I have the same issue. I typically launch one, "notch" or turn 90 degrees to the target, deselect, then re-select, then turn back in to pick up the next target once the first missile has impacted.   16. Got it, thank you. I uninstalled both simshaker and sound module, and reinstalled them and it seems to be working fine now. Oddly enough, I was also having issues with my motion rig not working for the F18, all other aircraft worked fine. Well after I reinstalled everything, the motion started working. Thank you again for your attention here.
  17. I was not using the original .exe because it stopped working after the last update. I tracked it down and started it up, and it tries to update, but it says it cannot start.   18. Running a prosimu T1000 3dof using the simtools plugin. No motion from the F18. The other aircraft I own work fine, even if I switch roles without exiting the mission, I immediately get motion. Anyone else having issues?
  19. What's the latest version number? I got an auto update last week but nothing since. Is there a way to force an update?
  20. Same thing for me, works fine for other aircraft, even if I select role and change planes without exiting the mission/session. Hornet I get zero. Simshaker script file does not have a hornet entry. I deleted it, and when I restarted simshaker it made another lua file, but still no hornet.
  21. Yes that's exactly what I did. If you want you can have it play on a loop as well.
  22. I got it working, thanks! I tried all different combinations, but the only thing that worked properly was: -Under "triggered actions" for a vehicle, make a "change frequency" and a "transmit message" action. Obviously make sure the frequencies match. -Use a zone, or whatever trigger you'd like, and put the AI task "set frequency" first, then "transmit message" second. This also worked for a switch action, for instance popping green smoke and transmitting every time a unit approaches a farp for landing. Setting the frequency every time is the only way I got it to work. Even using an advanced action to set the proper freq at mission start didn't work. This also worked with SRS running. Thanks guys!
  23. I'm so frustrated with this right now. I'm trying to simply add a radio item for the group "SHANK 1" at the start of this mission. I have deleted and remade shank 1, and tried 100 different combinations for this most simple of events that I've used 100 times before in missions, and it just will not work. Anyone willing to take a fast look at this mission and tell me WTF I'm doing wrong here?   24. I tried the "Radio Transmission" item to play a sound (radio messages) over a specific frequency, but it doesn't seem to work. I have easy comms off, and was using SRS in my multiplayer server when I tested. Does this actually work or am I doing something wrong?
  25. Got it thanks. Now if I can only get it working again. Seems that in playing around with the virpil configuration software, I've gone and bricked the thing. Completely dead after just 2 hours of use. Put in a ticket to virpil, hopefully they respond soon. The thing was amazing for the 2 hours that it worked.
