The CH Pro Throttle USB will still work fine in CH Control Manager with the Sensor Upgrade, but I don't believe it will work with the new Mainboards without some work. There is a before/after pic of the sensor installed in this thread (Post #71).. It's a 5 minute job, very easy.

MTWSims CH 12 bit Mainboard installed and calibrated (using MMJoy2), all functions perfectly! Just a few little tweaks to do once rel4y gets back to me!

They are on very tight, I could open them up a little (they were closed to fit the pins on the older version) but they are not going anywhere, and I did NOT want to rip a connector off!

Here are a couple pictures of the sensors installed in the Pro Throttle USB (before and after) and the Fighterstick USB (Y axis pic on top, X axis with OEM still installed on bottom), waiting on the mainboard pics until we get a couple things sorted out...

Pictures tomorrow my friend!

Just ran the carrier landing training mission without having a clue how to fly the F/A-18 and trapped (#1, so not perfect) the 1st time. Even had to pause to find the flaps switch, other than that she flew like a dream down to the deck. Now I get to learn everything else, but I can see how the carrier addition is very cool to have...

Does TWS work yet? If so, I believe (been a while, and it's in the "other" F16 sim) in that mode you can lock and fire on several targets at once.

Just got the Hornet on sale (bought it 1st so I could get the carrier pre-release at 50%), had the Viper since Day 1 but wanted to have a carrier capable plane also..

I agree, if only rel4y (or someone) could come up with a proper replacement for the microswitch hat on the throttle this CH gear could last another 20 years.. ;)

Fix for the 'Control Manager' broken after Windows Update problem
GPatricks replied to Jodet's topic in CH Products
Who owns the source code for Control Manger, CH or Bob Church? I would think it could be tweaked to work just fine with Win10, as while I no longer use it for programming it's the only way to calibrate your CH HOTAS properly.. -
Map would be GREAT if DCS had the A6M Zero and (one of them) the Corsair/F6F/P38.. but the next logical map was Korea as we already HAVE the two best jets of the Korean conflict! Would have been nice.

How much for the HOTAS, and is it in good condition? Not for me, gent in Texas..

Congrats, as soon as he gets the new CH boards ready i'll be hopping on the train with you! Also making up nice jumper cables that convert from mini-spade male to single pin female to make the conversion to his sensors a little slicker and reverting back to OEM spares (in case of a failure) as easy as can be. That would be a question, are the new boards compatible with the OEM sensors? If not, I think i'll grab a couple extra new ones to have on hand, JIC...

Hopefully the post above will help someone (like me!) avoid being in a rush to install and toasting their shiny new Fighterstick Y axis sensor while we wait! :joystick: -

To save anybody a bit of grief, here are the CH Instructions in a nutshell.. Crimp one side of the spade connector down to fit tightly on the new sensor's pin or (better) solder the wire in place. The wiring connections are NOT the same sequence (Y Axis Green/Blue are reversed on OEM CH pot) on one axis of the USB Fighterstick so wire as follows or you will most likely toast the Y axis sensor. (The PCB pins are labeled) For the USB throttle – GREEN =GND, YELLOW=OUT, BLUE=VCC For the USB Fighterstick - GREEN =GND, BLUE=VCC For the 3 FS Axis - BROWN=(X Axis) OUT, BLACK=(Y Axis) OUT and YELLOW=(Z Axis Throttle Wheel) OUT -
TM Cougar & CH magnetoresistive/ hall sensor kits
GPatricks replied to rel4y's topic in Thrustmaster
Received all three CH Sensors, one has a "T" written in sharpie on it, assume it is for the throttle. Big question is what is the best way to connect the wires? The original connectors are too big, is there something else I should be doing or do I need to buy something like these - https://www.amazon.es/ILS-piezas-Micro-Connector-Cables/dp/B07GXMC2G8/ref=sr_1_fkmr3_2?__mk_es_ES=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=3+pin+wiring+connector&qid=1576255625&sr=8-2-fkmr3 , cut them short and solder a male mini spade connector to act as an adapter? For now I crimped 1/2 of the female spade down to fit the pin tight, covered the two outside connectors with insulation to avoid a short, flattened them out and turned them 90 degrees so I can always put a standard pot in in case of an issue.. Throttle worked perfect, calibrated easily. Fighterstick had an issue on 1 axis, sent you an email. -
USB Lilliput 8" stopped working?
GPatricks replied to Zeke's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
In my search for a resolution to the same issue I found this thread. My 8" Lilliput Touchscreen worked fine just before I moved and I actually ordered a 2nd screen (and an articulating 2 screen mount) as i'm finally in a place I can set up a "cockpit". Hooked everything up, mounted the screen, plugged it in and blinking blue power light with blank screen. Tried reinstalling the Displaylink drivers I had (9.1 M1 I believe) and no joy. Went to the Lilliput site and it directed me to the driver download sites for the display drivers and touchscreen drivers. Grabbed the latest (beta) display drivers, the eGalax were the same I had. Used Program Manager to uninstall everything, rebooted, then installed the Dispalylink beta 9.3 drivers. Screen came right on, solid blue light! Installed latest eGalax Touchscreen drivers and all is well. Must have been a Win10 update that screwed me! Figured I would put this up to help anyone else with the issue.. -
Sent you an email, as long as the new mainboards operate as designed i'm ready! Either way I'll go for 3 of the sensors, just let me know!
-
Like there was ever any doubt...:thumbup: Email me with my invoice when you are ready! :D
-
Great news on the sensors! I'm sure you will get the boards figured out!
-
No problem, you will figure it out! I'm in the middle of moving to my new flat so it's all good..
