Hello everyone, I'm in the final stages of creating a new campaign for the UH-1 Huey, This happens in the same scenario like the Battle of Krasnodar and Black Sea Resolve. It's 1979 and it's the last time Huey is going to be deployed. This is the first mission the deployment from a ship to your FARP base. Please have a look at this mission, give it a try and let me know if you have any feedback, cargo operation is needed and also a bit of night time flying and adverse weather, otherwise it's all a milk run. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Cpq-lXqdKZZIr0Wsgv4P3rZT1c0kA8VG?usp=sharing Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers,

Yes, I'd like to work on a more updated version of the F-5 I know ED was working on some updates. Marianas could be a good scenario, I'm waiting for the F-4 though. When that is launched that's where my efforts will go I believe. Right now is Huey, then F-16 in the Mariana's against the PLA forces.

Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks for flying the F-5 and my campaign.

That's quite easy to do in ME. however, by doing that I'll have another round of players saying that the victory conditions are too ambiguous Trying to keep everyone happy is tough. I'll put some thought into it and see what I can come up with.
-
Yeah, going through that I can understand how frustrating it can be, you are doing everything right by what you are saying, you are intercepting the bombers and not the MIG's, at the end of the intercept when i'm getting close to the bombers i'm not slow though, i'm able to be a tad faster than the bombers right when I line up behind them for the missile shot, I wonder if that makes the difference, maybe the climb profile is different and that's why you are ending up slow and the SA-6 can get to you. I'll look and see if those SA-6's can be delayed a bit, to give the player a bit more freedom.

So, I played it a few times, yes the bombers are bombing what they are supposed to be bombing, so they clearly go towards their target, I let them go on their merry way and they cause quite a havoc, now, the second time running the interception, splashed 2 in quick succession with the AIM-9's then I took the last one with the gun, he landed couple of them on me and broke some minor things. I tangled a bit with the Mig-23's to see if I get a bite from the SA-6 or SA-3. I was running low on fuel and I tailed back. Debrief gave me 100 points to pass, yes, there was one SA-6 in the air right when i was taking the bombers out. It was no factor, and 3 more other SA-6's when I was dancing with the MIg's my RWR didn't beep me for launch and I didn't noticed any launches and I made it back safely. I'm curious of what climb profile you are using do you go under 400 KTS on your climb? Do you drop the tanks at any point? Cheers,

I'll check this again, the bombers are not retreating, they are bombing actually the troops near the coast, and make a big bang. I'll fly it and see if the SAM's are giving me grief, most likely their range was changed with some update and now they are reaching you. SAM's shouldn't have been a problem. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

I tested this one. I'm assuming that after the changes in the AI BFM and with the changes in the AIM-54 the Tomcats can't effectively deal with all the threats and they are missing a Mig-29. It happened in 2 cases out of 3 and the trigger for victory is based around that. I'll come up with some changes around that, so they get blasted out of the sky when needed. Gonna feel like God I guess. When it's your fate it's your fate.
-
Nope, that should be a win, I'll test it today. I may not be able to survive like you did, but I'll see what's going on.

Yeah, take the runway that's close to you. Per briefing you have to be lined up for takeoff in under 3 minutes. There's no way you make it on the other side of the airport in under 3 minutes.

Hello folks, I need some voices for an upcoming UH-1 Huey campaign. All of them in English, with neutral or American accent. Let me know if you are willing to help out, and if so, send me a voice sample on Discord if possible. Cheers,

You told them to engage, eh? The SA-15's are totally acting like super weapons now, not a whole lot I can do about it, when this campaign was done they were strong but manageable, now you can't do a whole lot to take them down, they intercept HARM's, Mav's, JSOW's, Sidearms and so on. I don't know if that's the case in the reality but they seem to be way too capable right now.
-
Any reason you took off from the other side of the airport? You should have taxied on the right and take off from there.

On 2.7.17 The latest Open Beta I don't have any problems. This should have worked on Stable, I don't remember being a lot of changes from Beta to Stable. Any chance you can get a video of the mission? Cheers,

I'll check the mission, If there's something wrong it must have happened after the last update. More of a developers conspiracy than a Pentagon.

I don't think so, that initial message with refueling it's just a "unit in zone" trigger, and the tanker has quite a long route following the coast, nothing scripted and or triggered there, I don't want everything to feel very scripted, if you are a bit too early on pushing from WP2 you may be refueling in a turn, if you are late you may be chasing the tanker towards WP4 in both cases you move towards WP 4 and that's okay. In your case I wonder if it is a mod that may be affecting radio comms.

Hi, I ran a test on the Mission 4, that's the one with the refuel with a formation of 4 planes. It works for me as intended. I was able to order them to refuel, then I plugged in, the F-18's followed me to WP 4 and then they went and dealt with the HAWK site and the other SAM in the area, I was able to go over the range of SA-15's and drop the bombs on the ammo depot. I haven't done any AAR in about 2 months, damn, I was rusty. So, on the latest OB it works for me. Any chance you can get a recording maybe? I had my flight on radio 1 and Texaco on radio 2 Cheers, Sorel

Good idea, thanks

Hi guys, My next campaign happens in the UH-1. Since there's at least 4 people in the crew there's a lot of chatter in the cockpit, some of it is mission specific and some of it more narrative. Adding subtitles will create some big walls of text that are not easy to deal with especially in VR. I'm leaning on just adding the mission specific data in each voiceover headings, radio frequencies, other hints for the missions and leave the narrative just as sound. This way with the message history feature you could still go back and make sure you know what needs to be done. Please give me your input as I'd like to hear anyone's opinion. Cheers,

One small issue with coordinates
SorelRo replied to felixx75's topic in AV-8B Hormuz Freedom Campaign
That was a mistake on my part when creating the briefing docs. Sorry about that. Converting it shouldn't require a tool. A calculator or math should do it. I'm working in some additional updates with the AI logic on all the missions and part of that I'll put the coordinates in the proper format. To be honest throughout the campaign if you study you brief and know where the bullseye is and where you are you wouldn't have to do an offset too many times. -
Well, they took good care of you. You were able to do your mission without the Harm being a pain. Of course they were not behaving like this when this was put together. AI Changes, I'm no going to check this until the 20th after the next update. Otherwise I'll do changes and then who knows what will happen.
