Thanks a lot for the kind words. If the heli lands that should be it. I'll run a test today. During testing, I had one instance where the heli behaved erratically and didn't land where it should and messed up the score. I'll test it today and let you know and if there's anything messed up i'll come up with a fix. -

This is fixed and an update will be submitted to ED. -
WX is weather http://dixwx.com/abbreviations.htm TOLD is take off and landing data. Some of these values are extracted by the app I'm using to generate kneeboards and briefings. As far as I know they are accurate, but they are not double checked.

mission 5 - destroy convoy - cant complete

It's the AI that doesn't work as they should. Sorry about this. the two convoys are the ones close together. I'll put some "magic" to enhance the damage you do when you hit that convoy. -
I'll have to add a "knock it off message" when you fly over the friendly units on a bombing run. It may take a bit to figure out that logic and to add the voice and the message!

Thanks for bringing this up. That's one of the problems that's hard to tackle. A mission is created, and several releases later the AI pathfinding behaves in a different way. Those units shouldn't go on the other side of the runway, it looks like now they are pathfinding differently. I'll check this one and see what I can do to fix it. Thanks for letting me know. once I check it and fix it I'll send an update to ED and i'll have the updated mission available for your guys.

Mission 4 - Shipping Lanes

There's a ton of AI bugs or not going as supposed to. I'm starting to go mission by mission and validating that they are acting that they should. -
Hi guys, I ran a test on this one. The flight of 4 doesn't have a ton of success with the LMAV's, so, after you radio them to "Primary and rejoin" you hear the guys going on it, but not a whole lot is happening, so, that means that due to AI, you have to take 6 to 8 more targets, if you keep telling them to "Primary and rejoin" they are more successful with bomb runs and guns. The mission is doable even in this state, there's a moon up and the sun is coming up, there's enough light for the TPOD, and it can help during the gun runs, you should hear the pilot saying that you got all of them and to check the secondary target and WP4 if you have enough ammo, since you are almost Winchester that's not the case and you can go home or end the mission. The score is 100 at that point.

I'll test this guys, unfortunately, as I was saying. I'm not in front of.my computer for the next 3 days or so. As soon as I'm back I'll have a look. I have a feeling that some AI is not working as expected. Your flight should be a flight of 4 not two. And when I tested this, and when the testers went through the missions, it was quite cool to fly with an element of 4 blasting those launchers and trucks.

Yes, the whole group has to he destroyed. Quite easy to do with a flight of 4. AI is actually engaging that group. You should get a radio message when you are done. If there are any problems I'll check, sometimes things change after updates. Unfortunately, this campaign was launched as I was flying out, away from my gaming rig. I should be back at it at the end of this week and I can test stuff.

I'll check, I may have put it wrong in the briefing. Unfortunately I'm away from my home for the next 10 days or so. This campaign was launched when I was flying out. Timing sucks sometimes.

I'm sure it won't be long. It's something that I can't control. But I'm assuming that everyone was hands down working on the Apache.

It depends if Apache is getting launched or not. From what I have noticed in the past. Updates containing new ED modules don't have 3rd party campaigns, for some strange reasons.

Unfortunately it's AI. AI behaves differently on the Stennis, getting stuck more often than on the SC. I was contemplating to have two versions but it becomes impossible to test after each update, then having to fix things in different ways. You will operate in a task force, there is a need for F-14's and F-18's to cover your back. I can magically make them appear as needed but it breaks immersion, especially on some missions when you take off from Tarawa and you get to see the launch from the SC, during night operations, as you clean your aircraft. I understand that I may loose some customers, but, it is what it is. It's not like I'm doing this go get rich or something like this.

Make sure you come to a complete stop once landed. That's one of the criteria. Also, you have to shoot some planes to pass to the next mission. You have AWACS use it and use it often and use it wisely. You can spot the contrails up to the merge, the Russians coming for the ships are easy to take on if you fly correctly. It's not easy, but it's not impossible. a flight of 4 F-5's can deal with 4 bombers and 4 Mig-21 low on fuel. ...also, if you think that the visibility is low..... well, things will get worse, TACAN will be available later as the war is progressing.

Very soon, I'm hoping at the Feb Update. All is sent to ED and it should be good to go.

A landing you can walk from is good in my books. It makes your heart jump when that bomber start spraying at you, and you know you have to press on.

I believe that's on a few missions. It will be fixed in the next update. For your plane you could change the skin from the arming menu. I have a feeling there is a bug where if i go and modify the loadout of an airplane it's changing the skin to the default one, so it's easy to miss when I modify these missions. I'll review the ones that are messed up and submit an update. I was hoping to have it all sorted out on a bigger update that will happen in Feb-March

This campaign has never been localized in Russian and will never be localized in Russian. All your radio channels are the DCS preset. Since Mig-21 has only one radio I'll leave it to the player to work them as they seem fit, all can be completed from Chan 0, that will be the freq for your GCI. Radio gymnastics on a plane with one radio seems pointless to me. All the radios channels are already written in about 3 places on your Mig-21. I don't really understand your frustration. The first 3 missions in this campaign are quite simple. 1st is climb profile and low level intercept assisted by the GCI, second is formation flying and AG, third is navigation. How you achieve these tasks is up to you. Once again, if you could voice your frustrations in a normal manner so I can understand what is wrong I could help you, or get some feedback and include your feedback in the later updates. Some of the briefing files are being re-worked right now. Cheers,

For that mission engage bandits works, for AG and if you want your wingman to be more heroic use "cover me" on AG he will go for the AA, on AA missions it will go for the threats near you. most of the time he will die in the process but he will buy you a few moments.

The runway position should not affect this one, although it's annoying with ED is changing the active runway like this. This is all about climb and sticking with the bombers. your flight, if you maintain your flight integrity will help with the fighters, intercept course is important, using your missiles for the 2 bombers then going in for guns on the third one, he will shoot back. he dives and turns so, you should be able to catch him, although he is quite fast.
