I was also thinking of the fc3 aircraft since they are simplified models and not in-depth models

Sound like a tutorial is needed. Usually either the chart you’re looking at or the base diagram will list approach altitudes. I recommend getting the charts above those are the ones I use in dcs iirc the pg map ones are do out today

Chuck I’ve been. Advised buy owner not to buy the hawk mod. I just loookked at your tutorial and it was complete I throught thee last time I. Got your tutorial there were areas that were not completed because the mod wasn’t but this latest download off the tutorial was complete. My question is it ready for sale now, I know it got. A. New update lately. It’s the only mod I don’t own out of the aircraft, terrains and campaigns . So is it time to add it ? What is still in need of completing?

I thought it was only the encoders that needed setting up. But wasn’t positive glad some one with experience chimed in. The difference between Adriano and bodnar boards are two fold imo the bednar only. Needs settings up for the encoders and from my usage are wired directly. The Adriano boards require setup and use a wiring matrix iirc. So unless you use encoders the bednar boards are wireup and plug and play. Andrino requies software. Setup before plug in play plus the switch matrix

9reead the chart most tell you altitude for certain visual or electronic points it then directs you from point to point then there’s a altitude chart/graphicvor/ils charts are arrival charts names are usually departures. Also look at ffs docs for more info

Almost any spreadsheet because unless the server saves this data it has to be tracked by hand the same goes if you use multiple servers

AFAIK there are only static and unit templates. A mission wide template would need to be a default miz file as far as my understanding goes.

FF agreed why have the overhead it would be nice if the OS would open dcs but before it wouldn’t because of the long load times. I’ll have to check the os version settings but run as admin should be set.

If your referring to the Leo bodnar board from what I’ve read it just plug and play I’m not sure if you must program the board using the setup software from bodnar or not if that’s just for certain controls that must be setup. I was going to build a button box and may still do down the road but now I’m setting up the CaptoGloves for use. They don’t have feedback right now but it’s coming from what I read.

I understand the down time my rig is in shambles right now I’m in the process of adding the front to the speedmaster flight seat and raising it up on a piece of plywood and coasters or 4x4 I have laying around. I will have to figure a modular way to mount the puma that way it will be easier to swap setups as I have four different pits inwork the helo, fighter, commercial/ga and race. I have the hardware for all in storage so it’s just modular mounting and swapping out the bits and pieces from on VR&E pit to the next. And by the end of the year I hope to add a 3dof motion platform if all goes well.

If I’m correct I have two of the longest extensions from the seller in ,the for sale forum I also order the spring for the longest extensions but haven’t installed it yet as I wish to test it out with the huey first but I’m using my puma setup presently as the tm is intended for travel /fixed wing use. When I ordered the second extension and spring and o-ring I had him build a custom length cover for the stick to allow for both extensions and a stock cover for the throttle. But in free use I like the feel of the stick. Thinking of repurposing the puma’s collective and using the tm stick and vkb pedals

It depends If your a pixel watcher then a monitor If you want emersion then the rift, I love mine got three Acer 24” monitors in storage that I took down after getting my rift and a Apple display for my cmp

I have a set of saitek pedals and a x56 hotas for sale but I’ve got to dig the pedals out of storage and to do that requires two things 1) good weather not over 100 or threatening to or raining 2)afriend to do the work of pulling everything out to get to the pedals and then putting everything back. Then boxing it all up and shipping it out.

Question before the Persian Gulf Map was released I ran dcs and my rift worked perfectly with out any oculus software active. But since I’ve had to start the oculus software before the rift activates and I see the dcs screen. Are others able to run dcs without any oculus software running?

Why not I have them but haven’t set them up yet

Go buy some leobednar game controllerboards read his wire guide for them then they will show up as controls in dcs you may need to configure the board thru software but that I’m not 100% sure yet since I’ve not got around to building a button box try. You might be able to wire them up to an andrino board also but I’m not sure.
