  1. Howdie ! Since the last update I get a lot of game crashes. It freezes and you can no longer access the other apps nor windows. I have do a restart for DCS to close. Everything is up to date, no mods and slow repair already done. Can anyone put some light on this ? dcs.log
  2. Happens in SP campaigns, Liberation or SP simple flight. You just have to put a Viper in Incirlik cold and dark at 3 AM. The first try the lightings are weird. Quit, refly ... and everything is normal.
  3. Hey there ! I noticed the night lightings are weird when you enter the cockpit on your very first mission (cold and dark). If you quit and refly, the lightings are as intended. In the Hornet, it looks like there is someone following you with the headlights full on. I noticed this in the Hornet over Persian Gulf and Viper over Syria. I'm betting it happens everywhere in other modules but did not test. Did a full slow repair, no joy. Thx
  4. Hey there ! Is there a way I'm not aware of to regroup every bugs with their status displayed ? Right now you have to dig into the different forums to see what is happening and how they are treated. Maybe it should be great to have module and item specific pages of bug summary sticked at their first page so we can quickly see what is going on and what can or cannot do at a specific moment. Of course, locked threads to have a very simple and clear one page to look at. Let me know if I should post it somewhere else for better visibility by the team. Thx.

  5. That's simple to reproduce. Get into an aircraft cold and dark, set altimeter other than 29.92, climb and you'll hear the alarm crossing 20k ft, up or down.
  6. Maybe something to correlate with this bug, it sometimes happens with altitude or speed, especially for orbits parameters.
  7. Confirmed here as well. Though the workaround given above works.
  8. Weird, sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes not so great but I can't figure what is making the difference. I just make sure one flight has one task and give it way more ammo than it needs, plus a destruction sequence as a failsafe. As for now the AI has not enough tactics to be really useful with SEAD/DEAD without a deep intervention of the mission builder. Thanks anyway Thank you for your time.
  9. I get that. But from a player standpoint you just can't fail the mission if the AI misses the point. I mean, if I call a SEAD flight that's because I need it ; I just can't bring everything. As I build a mission I think of what I want the player to enjoy or work on ; in this case it is coordination of assets, CAS and enjoy some carpet bombing Especially if there is a whole operation starting from cold and a good nav before approaching the AO. I definitely can't think of any player who'd enjoy to fly 1h just to turn back because 4 Hornets with 4 HARMs each could not coordinate their attack properly. But I definitely read you on the imprevisible nature of the AI and the possibility of failure. It's just that it tends to happen kind of weirdly so it is very difficult to incorporate into a scenario that is still enjoyable for a virtual pilot. Right now it is more a game of locking every doors the AI must not be using rather than telling it which one it should pick.
  10. What I did is when one unit is shacked, the others will automatically be destroyed in a timed sequence, so wether the AI does its job or not is not a problem anymore. Plus I can add radio callouts and it is a very well working failsafe to not hang the entire mission. The problem I was having was that since the Hornets were engaging "on route" at max range, they were closing on the SAMs and were launching HARMs to targets that were already launched at. By the time the first missile reaches its target, generally 2 more were on their way and then be wasted, like if the different elements of one flight weren't coordinating. I observed the very same behaviour with the Mavericks on Harriers attacking ZSU-23 fixed positions. Note that the mission is set at night but every aircrafts had targetting pods. Anyway I found my way around but i will be looking at what you did since you put time to set it up Thank you.
  11. I support this idea !
  12. What I do is to split the flight into different flights. I order the second element to follow the lead flight until a certain point where I can give him specific orders, different routes, etc ... Something I found useful is to actually despawn or spawn different flights if they are out of sight ; it is a great cheat to help the IA to manage the fuel. They act as the same flights but they are indeed not the same, so the in-game radio call-outs may sound weird. For the formation for an escort for example I put the fighters to follow a specific group and then use : Distance : -500 Height : -80 Interval : -500 (if I want them on the left wing) or 500 if I want them on the right wing. Be aware that the follow action s targeted at the leader of the group you want to be followed. So if there are more than one aircraft in that group you'll have to adjust your settings depending on the position of those other aircrafts. But those numbers work well for a tanker formation for example.
  13. Hey there ! I know this wish would imply a massive work but it would be awesome to have some kind of volume slider to manage the volume of the sounds we add into a mission. Right now it is a bit of trial and error within a DAW to increase or reduce the volume of a particular file and then deal with an ogg converter. That is MASSIVELY time consuming. Or maybe someone has figured a more effective way to achieve volume corrections ? Thanks
  14. Tbh honest I just gave up and set up automatic destruction sequence. I'm tired of spending most of my time figuring workarounds than building up missions. Just try it yourself. Put a SA-11, SA-6 and OSA-8 and make a flight of 4 Hornets to engage the SAMs with HARMs.
  15. Silly question here maybe, but when you have your stick and pedals re-centered after a trim, Aren't they coming to the neutral position if you press force-trim again ? Or do you have to ''aim'' for the virtual position and then bring it back to neutral ?
  16. I followed what you've done and it works like a charm ! Merci camarade ! Tu es sur le groupe Facebook DCS World FR ?
  17. Hey there ! In a mission I'm building I want my leader, an AI Viper to ge to the tanker, refuel and then form-up in the spotting area beside the tanker. Everything is going well until he finished refuelling. He rejoins with the tanker, When he's in the tankers mobile zone, a trigger action ''refuelling'' is set and it works. But he's done, he's going RTB. I have another follow action set at the AAR waypoint but I guess the triggered action refueling breaks it. But I don't understand why he's going home since we have 3 more waypoints after that. I would have expected him to at least go to the next waypoint. I have a radio trigger set ''refuel complete'' so when I'm done and formed-up with him, I use F-10 menu and we go to the next waypoint. Can someone tell me how to make him follow the tanker again when he's done his AAR ? Thx !
  18. Hey guys ! For those AMD goodies to work, do you have to launch the game from the Radeon Adrenalin software or is it working in the background ?
  19. Works like a charm when deleting the CAS task. Thank you very much my friend !
  20. Ok, I'll try that then. I'll delete CAS task. And if I get what you are saying, all of the tasks should be set on waypoint 0 for the wingman to be considered, right ? Merci camarade
  21. In the ME, my flight has the "SAM" group (which consist of 4x ZSU23 and the OSA-8) and designated target + only designated ROE. For those tracks I purposely kept all the triggers in place, that part of the mission is supposed to happen way later. I just edited our starting position near our Fence In point. Normally, we make our runs after the SA-6, OSA-8 and SA-11 have been disabled by a dedicated SEAD flight. In this case, the wingman is usually targetting the Su-34 on the taxiway. All in all, he never engages the AAA positions. I thought the GBU-12 were working but it may have been a lucky shot when it happened. So basically, he ignores his orders. Note that in the JDAM run, he drops his bombs and then engage the SA-11 with the gun ...
  22. There is the wingman attack run withe the GBU-12 and guess what, he ignored its designated target to attack the SA-6. Wingman GBU-12.trk And now the JDAM run, same thing. He attacked the SA-11 and the OSA-8. Wingman JDAM.trk
