So Wags just released this statement: As some have correctly deduced, we also implemented realistic frequencies for A/A TACAN that do not interfere with the datalink. If you are having issues of C2 aircraft, C2 contacts, and some PPLI not appearing on the SA page, note that that TACAN functionality is embedded in the MIDS terminal. Because the upper antenna filter is fixed, it filters A/A TACAN frequencies on channels 1-36 and 64-99 (X and Y). A/A TACAN channels should be chosen outside of these ranges. The upper filter makes the top antenna unusable for T/R (Air to Ground) TACAN channels 1-29 X and Y, 47X to 63X and 64Y to 92Y. For TACAN channels in these ranges, the bottom antenna is the only antenna for TACAN. [This] causes reduced ranges for DME at channels within the range of the filter when flying directly away from the TACAN station. I'm gathering that AA TACAN (tankers) should be between 37X/Y and 63X/Y. Please correct me if I'm wrong. For T/R ground TACAN (carriers), I can't quite understand what we should be using. All this being said and done, is the fact that the TACAN can't be turned off when D/L is turned on actually a bug or not? thanks,

I don't think the options.lua setting for labels=false is being comprehended on dedicated servers, because I cannot get the labels to turn off. Anyone have a solution? file: C:\Users\root\Saved Games\xxx\Config\options.lua ["labels"] = false, edit: oh nevermind. I didn't realize it was a mission-specific setting that was causing the labels to appear. The server options.lua does not control it.

now that we have DCS dedicated server, we can run multiple instances of DCS servers on one box. Can we run multiple SRS servers on different ports, so we have one per DCS server instance?

Agreed, if that's only going to be an issue whenever running vjoyconfig, then I can live with that too. I'm going to try some tests when I get home tonight to see if this is the issue I'm having too. Thanks for the insight.

Interesting, so are you saying that the x52 drivers would cease to work every time we go and make a change in vjoy config? Because I have been having this issue of having to reinstall the Logitech drivers for the x52 every now and then, and I didn't know why. Maybe this is indeed the cause. This only started happening after I reinstalled windows and all my drivers after upgrading my SSD, as I never ran into this driver issue before.

I realize the HOTAS has a MIDS A and MIDS B mapped, but what are these going to do exactly? Are they another pair of radios for talking to aircraft?

You would need to create that macro yourself, it doesn't come as a preprogrammed macro in VA

You can delete the Caucasus airport kneeboards. They are under mods/terrains iirc.

Trackclip pro or any of it's cheaper imitations like delanclip or UTC mkii will work better in your situation than the hat clip. It did for me.

Dart, when patching the server from release version to RC (or upgrading in general), do we just run the installer over top of the old install, or do we need to uninstall/reinstall? Will previous server settings, including server-side licences be retained? thx.

can we also allow the BRAA window text area to dynamically shrink smaller, as low as one line of text? Right now, you are forced to keep this window at a minimum height (like 15 rows of text) otherwise the "Delete Selected" and "Delete All" buttons fall off below the fold. This causes the BRAA window to use up more screen real estate than it needs. Alternatively, remove the buttons altogether and allow keypress "Delete" to remove rows. That seems more efficient.

Honestly, the whole loadout thing in DCS is not the most intuitive approach. If the mission maker decides to make a loadout, as long as its valid for the airframe, why does it matter that the client looking at the mission needs to have a saved loadout that matches?

sorry, i should have been more clear. I'm not looking to update the mission, and its not one that I created. I just review them to understand the flight plans (for example we have various missions being created by squadron members and I may want to crack open the .miz file because I am performing the role of GCI this week). So I am clicking through all the flights, looking at their tasking and waypoints. Many of the aircraft I don't even own, but for those that I do, I will get the prompt. Maybe there's a better way for me to accomplish what I'm looking for, without going into the mission editor.

hi folks, I often open up multiplayer missions that have been created by other people, and every time I click on an aircraft that is slotted for a Client, I will get this prompt. It's fine once or twice or 5 times, but I just want to look at the waypoints of the flights, so closing this prompt EVERY SINGLE TIME gets pretty annoying around the 20th time. Is there any way to suppress this prompt? Thanks in advance,

Could I request the ability to change the color of the LOTATC chat messages? Feedback is that the default white gets lost among the regular chat window background "noise".

After updating config.lua on the server, how do you make the change take effect? Do you need to restart the DCS mission?
