  1. Got it figured out (the missing part was turning off autologin in the server options.lua to allow me to change the login credentials). Thanks for the support.
  2. and further to this, I don't know how to fix our situation now. I have tried running just two instances, but I just got the 401 error on one of my servers just a few minutes later. I can't keep our servers reliably running anymore, not 4 servers not 2 servers. Please help :)
  3. i'm sorry, I'm not understanding. If on my physical server I have one installation of DCS World OpenBeta, I log into that with a specific userid and password. Then I have a separate installation of OpenBeta Server that I assume are tied to that same userid and password for DCS World (please correct me if I'm wrong). So how do I create more than 2 running instances of the dedicated server now, if every instance is going to be tied to that single DCS World userid and password? thanks in advance,

  6. Wow that's a poor business decision. Make us jump through hoops to put more dedicated servers out there, all of which help promote DCS world without costing ED anything.
  7. What does the simultaneous users part mean exactly? Only two people can be using the remote console at once? I dunno if that's what the problem is in my case.

  9. What you are looking for is the 2d cockpit from Falcon 3.0. My suggestion is to let it go. This is not a problem with DCS. As many have stated, it's the challenge of expressing a 3d perspective on a 2d monitor. Driving simulators would have similarly imperfect cockpit representations.

  12. The workflow with the HOTAS on the Viper will be closer to the A10, so if you are comfortable with TMS up etc, you may be more at home with the 16 in the long run. Something to consider.
  13. I remember the post, it was months ago, but I don't recall Wags saying it was ready soon, or giving a timeline when it would be released.

    Are you sure that the climb profile is the best compromise if climb rate and fuel burn? I always assumed it was the fastest climb at a certain fixed throttle, but never saw a proper explanation myself. How can it be both the best climb rate and fuel efficient at the same time?
  15. The TAW North America battalion has a squadron of 7 pilots who are all planning to switch to the Viper on launch. Our whole group is 37 strong at the moment. I would send you to our website, but we are in the process of updating all the old content. I'd suggest if you are interested in learning more, simply hop on our servers during the evening, there are good folks there who are willing to chat. Search for TAWDCS, and join one of the four NA servers.
  16. This made it into the Openbeta change log this morning. I'm not able to test until this evening at the earliest, but would like to hear some confirmation if indeed this has been completely fixed :)
  17. ahh ok I understand now. Incidentally, what's the radar range on actual E-2 and E-3 aircraft? They don't show range bubbles in the F10 map or mission editor like ground radar.
  18. hey Dart, virtual_awacs_range = 400, Assuming this sets the range for E-2 and E-3 detection. But EWR and SAMs and carriers also contribute to the picture. Is the radar range that is shown in-game, or in Tacview indicative of their range in LotAtc as well? thanks in advance,
  19. this is a much better example of the issue. I was able to replay the trk file, and it recreated the issue in the logs, at 6 minutes in you can see it occur. I exited out of DCS before the game became unresponsive. As when I look at F2 views or F10, I see drones and tankers warping all over the place. In that replay it is occuring for me.
  20. i just downloaded the exact same mission off our MP server, and am running it locally, but no issues that I can see in the logs. It seems to only occur when I fly multiplayer, and even then its not 100%, but very recreatable if i try the same mission. I was able to recreate the issue twice in a row on the same mission in multitplayer. I'm just sitting dark in a Hornet, waiting for the crash which happens in < 5 mins according to the log. I am attaching the miz, trk, and log here. Note there's no crash log, because the game just goes unresponsive until I kill the process. I replayed the trk file, and didn't experience the issue, the plane just sat there on the ground as expected. Incidentally what does it mean when trk and miz files are exactly the same size?? I seem to have just started having this issue recently, seen it on at least 3 MP missions of ours. No one else to my knowledge is experiencing it.   22. Hi team, I'm getting these errors over and over in my dcs.log when I log into some of our group's multiplayer missions. As far as I can tell, there's nothing wrong with the mission though, as others are flying it just fine without errors.   23. Is the consensus still that the in-game FPS limiter is inferior to using Riva tuner? What's the issue with the in-game limiter anyways? Thanks,
  24. Being able to see the pitch ladder is more important to you than the VVI in certain situations, such as low level flying :)
