Then it must have broke and we'll fix it. Thanks
-
Thanks, I'll see that the guide gets corrected.
-
Please provide some track files and we'll be happy to take a look. Thanks

This surprised me too, but our source documents for the version of the F-16 we are simulating is very clear that range and az cannot be changed with the radar cursor position. Thanks
-
A track or video would help diagnose where you are going wrong. Thanks

This has nothing to do with signal strength. For this ALR type, the ring location indicates threat level with inner being missile guidance, middle lock, and outer in acq mode. Thanks

The real aircraft has a HOTAS filter option for DL data on the FCR. We will be adding this later, and it will help when using RWS with donor data. Thanks

Hi Kappa, It is covering a rather large area. For snag a lock faster, try bore or vert. Thanks

Sorry, you are having this issue, but it seems to working here. A track file would help a lot. Thanks

Data link and radar target vanish suddenly in MP
Wags replied to flankerjun's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
This could happen for several reasons: 1- Cockpit not set up correctly 2- The AWACS is in a turn 3- AWACS shot down 4- No LOS Thanks -
Yes, it changed since the version used to create the video. Thanks
-
We did in fact adjust a few things, but we have a few more things in mind to further improve it. Thanks
-
Please make sure that you first set the master switch to Norm. Thanks
-
Sorry, but I cannot reproduce. It sounds like you have an input command stuck in either AA or AG selection. Thanks

Hi Zarma, You should only see lock lines from flight members. Not ownship or other donor flights. Thanks

DCS: F-16C Viper Update - 27 November 2019 In the next Open Beta update, we will be releasing a series of updates to the DCS: F-16C. Some of these were covered in previous videos like the Track While Scan (TWS) radar mode and data link. This video provides a basic functionality look at other features like the Counter Measures Dispenser System (CMDS) manual option programming, the external lighting panel, and more.

DCS: F-16C Viper – Multi-Target Engagement with AIM-120 AMRAAM DCS: F-16C Viper – Multi-Target Engagement with AIM-120 AMRAAM FOR NEXT OPEN BETA UPDATE In a previous video we looked at the Track While Scan (TWS) mode of the F-16C. In this short video, we’ll look at how to use it with the AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missile to simultaneously engage up to six targets. The operation is quite simple: 1- Set the group of track targets as system targets (TMS right) 2- TMS right again to bug (designate) the closest target 3- Launch an AIM-120, then TMS right to cycle to the next in priority sequence, and then launch the next AIM-120 4- Rinse and repeat Notes All targets must be within the 25-degree scan area until their onboard seeker takes over. Target will only get a search radar hit when engaged in this mode, until the AIM-120's radar goes active.

DCS: F-16C Viper - Data Link Introduction DCS: F-16C Viper - Data Link Introduction In the next Open Beta update, we will be adding the data link (Link-16 with MIDS) to our F-16C. This is a very useful tool for building situational awareness and more effectively managing wingmen. This will be implemented for both single- and multi-player. The initial version is work-in-progress and further elements will be added during the early access period.

We've updated several of the system tones, but there is much work to do on the specific PRF tones based on the emitter when in handoff. We have a huge library that needs to be accounted for and this will take time. Thanks

Yes, EXP mode will be in the next Open Beta update. Thanks

While true, sometimes a supporting image can carry the point home. Thanks

Much of the team is now focused on big updates for the Hornet! This entails Track While Scan radar mode, AACQ, SPOT, new targeting pod features, improvements to the flight dynamics (like ground effect issue), and others. December should be a great month for the Hornet. Thank you for your patience. Thanks

DCS: F-16C Viper - Track While Scan (TWS) Radar Mode This is an introduction to using the Track While Scan (TWS) radar mode of the F-16C. This is a useful mode to build situational awareness in air-to-air combat and guide multiple AIM-120 AMRAAMs simultaneously. The most important commands you will be using are the HOTAS commands for: - Target Management Switch (TMS) Forward - Target Management Switch (TMS) Right You can find these in the Controls/HOTAS category With the Viper TWS mode ready to go for the next Open Beta, our team is now developing TWS for the Hornet.

[FIXED] M-61 Vulcan and Gau-8 Avenger dispersion values
Wags replied to nighthawk2174's topic in Weapon Bugs
Hey everyone, Thank you for the very interesting and important topic. Given the role of the gun in the A-10C, it’s naturally important that we get this as close to real as possible. Back in June we signed an agreement with the 355th FW (three A-10C squadrons) for 20 VR training stations. So, I’ve been down there several times over the past few months. In fact, I was just down there today, and I asked three seasoned A-10C pilots what they thought of the gun dispersal in our DCS: A-10C. Their responses were “fine”, “looks good”, and “I don’t see an issue”. When I pressed if they thought the dispersal was too great, they all answered in the negative. While we very much want this to be as accurate as possible, in the case we don’t see the logic in “fixing” what ain’t broke. Thanks
