    Brakes

A slight clarification... Once below 100 kts, let the nose drop and override the speedbrakes to open them all the way. Thanks
  2. More training missions are currently in work. However, please note that a system must be near-complete before we can make the training lessson to avoid havihg to go back later and upate it (a non-trivial task). In the meantime, I'd advise taking a look at the Viper Early Access Guide for any questions you may have about the Viper's operation. Thanks
  3. Hi Kreye, I'm sorry that you feel so disappointed. For this week, we felt it best to include our near-term goals in the newsletter so that the maximum number of clients will see it. While I enjoy posting to the little update thread, many more pople read the newsletters. When we have update news to share that does not make it into the newsletter, I will of course post it to the update thread. Thanks
  4. Hi cmbaviator, Most of the time it is about 3.0 G turn, but the more important point is the offset roll out distance from the runway places the wingtip just below the runway. This generally equates to about a 3G pull, but you could also do a much harder pull at the start and then float it out past 90 degrees. You're call. Thanks
  5. DCS: F-16C - Quick Startup In the earlier Viper startup video, it was a long and detailed procedure. Although by-the-book, there may be times when you just want to get in the air as fast as possible from a ramp start. This video is one potential process.
  6. DCS: F-16C Viper - Controls Setup Although we included default control profiles for many popular joysticks and throttles, we could not do them all and you may wish to modify the supplied profiles. This video is was created to provide a core-understanding of how to set up your controls to match that of a real F-16C Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS).
  7. Hi everyone, A revamp of the G-tolerance is planned and a rather high priority. Thanks
  8. Hello, To say, "the UNCAGE button isn't working at all on the Viper" is not accurate. Tests show it works perfectly well in with the HMCS. Please, please be accurate in all reporting. We will take a look at this other circumstance. Thanks
  9. In CCIP mode, the TGP line of sight should be slaved to the location under your CCIP bombing reticle. Thanks
  10. Hi everyone, For a sustained 9G pull the aircraft needs to be at least 450/460 kts. You should not be able tor sustain 9G below this. It would be a bug to sustain 9G at only 440 kts. At 440 kts, you should expect a sustained G of 8.8 to 8.9. This is based on get getting off the phone with a 4k+ hour Viper pilot. Thanks
  11. Thank you for your support and feedback macedk. In some ways the Viper release was more complete than the Hornet, and in some ways less. For the release of the Viper we included a much more complete cockpit, targeting pod, helmet mounted sight, AIM-9X and a few other items. However, the Hornet had a damage model, external lights, and a few other items that the Viper did not have. So, it's hard to say that one was more complete than the other at launch. Thanks
  12. AoA rate. It's a function to keep the aircraft from departing. Thanks
  13. Hi, No, it is simulated correctly. The switch simply controls the amount and rate of AoA that can be generated. When over 15 degrees in CAT III, only then are there limits to other parameters like roll rate. It is not a G-limiter. Thanks
  14. Please see: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4052237&postcount=14 Thanks
  15. No, not bugged. The KC-135 does not have a range element to it's air-to-air TCN. That would be a KC-10 function. Thanks
  16. You bet, but as mentioned a bizillion times, we are modeling a USAF/ANG Blk 50 not an MLU. Thanks
  17. There are four ACM modes for the Viper, bore, vertical (60), HUD, and slew. There is no separate long range bore. Right now we have bore, 60, and HUD. Thanks
  18. A combination of looking like a snake ready to strike at some angles and the early YF-16 stick looked a lot like the Viper from Battlestar Galactica. Thanks
  19. Thanks, but your track shows an external of a Mi-24. Please provide a short and to the point example in single player. Thanks
  20. ... and HMCS and AIM-9X. Thanks
  21. Hello, I just tested this loadout with no wind and I cannot reproduce this. Kindly provide a track. Thanks
  22. Fair enough. However, we released many videos and the guide in advance to 10/3 as what you see is what you get. Thanks
  23. Also, please make sure you are setting your controls to F-16C Sim and not F-16C Easy in control options. Thanks
  24. I'm going to post this again from another thread: --- Thank you for the kind words. Watching some Youtube videos this morning, it seems much of the heartburn comes from the lack of damage model, external lights, and WIP and skin textures. All these tasks are on a single person and he was unable to complete all these tasks and meet our announced early Autumn release date. So, we could either release without these features complete and get complaints or miss our stated release widow and get complaints. In the end, we went with the former and stand by that. While we of course wanted to and pushed for all of these, it was not in the cards. However, they are all very high priority items to be addressed as soon as possible. In the meantime, we firmly believe that even this early version of the Viper provides a lot of enjoyment and plenty for players to learn and get their heads around. Thanks
  25. In fact, those are already in the current version, but need to be tuned. Thanks
