  1. Fore sale on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SSI-1995-PC-CD-ROM-Game-Box-Set-SU-27-FLANKER-w-Strategy-Guide-NEW-SEALED-MINT-/370793126515
  2. Captain Chaos! Hi Bas! What a fantastic time we had in Apeldoorn! I hope all is well! Another blast from the past: Big Bear 1998... http://www.combatsim.com/review.php?id=432
  3. Very nice work Paul! Thank you!
  4. I loved the FLCS/TQS with Stickworks chips... too bad it doesn't work with Win 7.
  5. Yup that is me flaming Papa Doc back in the day. We all had some epic battles in v1.0, and 1.5
  6. -Steady Nav lights on when powered. -Flashing Nav lights on just prior to engine start and taxi. -Steady Nav lights and Anti-collision strobes on once taking the runway. White anti-collision strobes are only for in-flight use. Not sure about the A-10 but normally you only have steady Nav lights and a red anti-collision beacon on the top and or bottom of the fuselage. I have never seen flashing wing-tip Nav lights.
  7. Hehehe... I remember the graphics were great and the interactive training was well done but that's about it. Remember this: http://hem.bredband.net/b133051/hmasp/index.htm And I don't know how many hours I put into "Instant Action" with Papa Doc and the old gang!
  8. Speaking of memories Matt, remember when Jim got us all working on Team Apache? Those were some really fun days!
  9. A long time ago Eagle Dynamics showed us a video of a fantastic rendering of the beautiful Su-27. We all were wowed thinking that someday it would be... Now is the day! Thanks Matt and all at Eagle Dynamics for seeing it realized!! Sorry I don't know how to embed the video! :)
  10. I can't do it either. If I set "usedefaultsnapviews" to "False" the HUD symbology is too big for the HUD frame and the snap views don't work. How do we set and save custom snap views in 1.24?
  11. We are now flying what we drooled over back then, the video of a render Eagle put out of this amazing machine... I wonder if that video is online somewhere. ... and here it is!! Sorry... don't know how to embed. :)
  12. That's due to wind being present and the bombs flight under the chute. You have to make wind corrections when deciding when to release it.
  13. Hi Goran! Wow... it's been a long time! I haven't seen or heard from Andrew in a long time but I am also not very active here any more. Hope all is well! Cheers
  14. My deepest condolences Matt. I was hoping to meet him at Duxford sometime in the near future and had no idea of his condition. Please pass on my condolences to his family, Nick, and those at Eagle Dynamics. He was a visionary for the flight sim community. A toast to the father of Flanker and DCS! Sincerely, Mark
  15. I started testing with v1.5 then on through to A-10C and have been absent from the team for quite a while now due to real life getting in the way and yes, Wags was just one of us. :) Check this out... HMASP! http://hem.bredband.net/b133051/hmasp/standings.htm Man those were some fun fun Flanker times!! I won one of those international competitions as well. Got a full Saitek HOTAS, maybe a X-36 back then, and PC Dash as the prize!
  16. Hi Cake, Here but not that active any more. Marek was "Headcase". I used to be "Stinger" back in those days... did you have a different nick then too? Cheers
  17. I have a CH as as well... had to get rid of my TM FLCS/TQS with Stickworks chips(I loved that HOTAS!) when I went to Win 7 64 bit. The CH isn't stiff enough for me and I find I bob around the center position of the stick which I think is due to the pots. AAR is much tougher with the CH IMO but keep at it!
  18. Great work Luckybob! It has some mean guns!
  19. It's a lot of fun going online and shooting down player Hogs, Frogs, and Sharks with AAA, SAMs, and even tanks and other armed units and doing it while commanding the battlefield and jumping into tank battles too. I had no sticks for awhile so playing CA online is worth the price.
  20. You are thinking of it as a cheat? I would be using it to mark myself as a friendly when CAS units are in the area attacking targets in close proximity to my position. I popped green flares online thinking the player A-10s could see me as I attacked the same targets they were working on.
  21. Hi Leafer... that's life huh! Kids and work means no time to play. Hope all is well!
  22. I have a compass tape across the top but no caret showing the actual heading. Just a scrolling tape.
  23. The Flares are only visible to the client operating the unit and not to other players online. Using an M1A1 tank I launched several flares, green, white, and red and the other players online could not see them. Other players can see the JTAC smoke but not the flares.
  24. Please add ground control commanders for those of us without sticks at the moment! :)
