  1. I understand the 1070 has a higher potential power draw, so your PSU may be causing the GFX card to throttle itself down.
  2. From RAZBAM's FB page. Woohoo, getting there! Good going gentlemen, keep plodding on.
  3. Terrain object shadows could be turned to flat and you'll not really notice any difference visually whilst flying.
  4. Is there consistency then with ordinance, such that an AIM-9L (or whichever) for one module is the same for the others, like a global armoury if you will?
  5. You show DCS there in windowed mode, is that how you normally run it? You could try full-screened, and/or playing around with those such related settings, as this could be a window focus issue, i.e. Alt+Enter etc Also IIRC if the radio context menu is open this can cause an inability to mouse-interact with the cockpit.
  6. Well I have no idea about the airliners, or other large aircraft, just referring to the small stuff (Perhaps some of the large flying tubes have mechanical speedo drives in the main wheels or some other reliable metric, too?). Ground can moan all they want; pilot is in command (so long as no-one's stopping for a picnic), though having said that I do recall taxiing at something approaching 30kts on the straights. Not disagreeing by-the-by, I flew at Hurn airport which was quite busy for learning and they always tried to get us out the way in a prompt manner.
  7. One ping only, please.
  8. Your head and eyes are very good at damping out shake, the camera is not a great metric for how the human brain experiences such acceleration, anything more than what exists would in my opinion be unrealistic.
  9. John Farley, I recall watching him explain the flight controls of the Harrier in documentaries - a great intro to what makes the Harrier unique - and moving the nozzles by hand from the outside. Here he is climbing nose-up vertically at Farnborough, 1982; May your skies be forever CAVOK, fly in peace.
  10. What a great photo, and now a sad sight near my former flying club, J-4083 became G-EGHH, now sat at Hurn, derelict. Here, SVTONY, the same aircraft in your photo, now down the road from me;
  11. Yes, you can clone a drive to another drive, so long as the destination drive is at least as big as the source. I use clonezilla for doing that.
  12. Lookout, look out towards the wing tip and try to picture someone attempting to run alongside, it's too fast if you'd not be able to keep up. It's poor practice to use ASIs or groundspeed readouts for taxi speed, especially so for pitot ASIs as they're unreliable at slow speed/on the ground.
  13. This is so that RAZBAM can ensure that we receive the best impression of their new Austin Allegro module.
  14. For whatever it is worth; that i7 3820 is likely fine for DCS, because on some tests it out performs my X5675 on single core.
  15. Roger that, Yankee Doodle Floppy Disk, this is Foxtrot Zulu Milkshake.
  16. Works For Me™ Open Beta 2.5.2.18521 It's greyed out for a few seconds, then becomes available to click, so it might be working for you but you need to wait. I presume it's like that to prevent inadvertently DDoSing things.
  17. It's going to be a carrier based Folland Gnat, absolutely sure of it.
  18. Flying a Predator drone in DCS, now that'd be rather weird, it'd have some sort of recursive matryoshka doll feel to it.
  19. Also, to fuel that fire; they held a poll and C-130 came out on top.
  20. Currently I have quite a lot of information on the F.6 pre-leading edge extension. I've reached out to current operators of the Hunter and also to BAE (once Hawker Aircraft, Hawker Siddeley Group, Hawker Siddeley, BAe), it is proving rather bothersome to obtain information. One contact at BAE said they didn't know where to get that information due to it being for civi-support. Not giving up.
  21. Which do you prefer with the Hunter; Intercept, ground-attack, both? F.6, FGA 9, with/without tail-chute, with/without dog-tooth extended leading edge wing etc. Which do you prefer with this aircraft and why? Note, the export F.6 - Mk 58 - as used by the Swiss was fitted to carry the AIM-9...
  22. I stand corrected, Independence Day; Harry C Jr.
  23. You could also - now that your CH throttle is staring at the bin - take it apart and re-terminate wires, replace pot sensors etc, they're cheap apparently, nothing to lose; there are guides out on the internet somewhere on taking them to bits and refurbishing them.
  24. Yep, or whilst walking out to ride/drive/fly somewhere; "Kick the tyres and light the fires!"
