  1. Ah OK. Good. The idea is that ED extended the Caucasus map deep into Turkish territory. But your version of the chart barely reach the Turkish border: At BSD, we are using this area for some secret operations and it would be cool to have this on CF with you map.
  2. Hi guys, Can you remind me please which folders can be erased when updating DCS to force the re compilation of the shaders? Thanks.
  3. Yes. We tried to clear up some space for a nice firing range but all trees and buildings were back in MP. Do you mean that only a FARP can clear scenery objects in MP or that the "Remove Scenery objects" action works in MP if you are placing a FARP inside the trigger zone?
  4. Hey Flappie. I saw and play with your map on the last beta release of CombatFlite 0.9.22. What you did is pretty amazing and I am so excited to see the final version. The CombatFlite map though is limited to 277% zoom. Is it because of the definition of the map you provided to Viper? I am going to be picky but I wish you extended your map a little more south into the Turkish territory just like what is available in the updated Caucasus map. At BlackSharkDen, we are used to make some quick night incursions across the Turkish border to pursue those pesky rebels who are trying to hide on the other side. :) But if it means starting all your work all over again, forget about it. I am already happy with what you did. For airbases, I suggest you get in touch with Snoopy of the 476th (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=201987). They released some pretty good airport diagrams for the region which I guess you might be able to reuse on your chart if it is OK with them. Do you think there is a way to make your work more collaborative? I can't imagine how boring this should be to hand draw roads. Any way to share that between several actors?
  5. Removing scenery objects action in ME doesn't do anything when playing MP. It does work in SP though.
  6. This box would be also great to manage the Datalink control panel overhead in the Ka50.
  7. Always ready to support you Artur!
  8. Thanks for the links but these charts have been on the forum for years and, as Fox Delta highlighted it, we are not looking for real life charts, we are looking for what is actually in game (which is significantly different from IRL: roads, village names, power lines even some rivers). For choppers pilots and CAS aircraft, IRL charts 1/500000 are close to useless. That's where the discussion with Flappie started. Long time ago, someone as dedicated as Flappie made a high definition map of DCS Caucasus called TC-1 that is still on my wall. But at this time, the Caucasus map was not going as far East as today and all the Tbilissi area was missing. And the TC-1 map has never been updated. What flappie is doing is even more amazing than the legendary TC-1 map. Because he is building a vector map so we will (hopefully) be able to zoom down to the level of what the mission editor is showing, including all the roads intersections, power lines and small villages in the mountains (which are not visible on a 1/500 000 or even sometime do not exist IRL). Talking about CombatFlite, Flappie is already coordinating his work with Viper39, the creator of Combat Flite, to be able to use it inside this amazing software.
  9. Hi guys, Our annual Back Shark Den meeting 2018 was held near Hampton GA, at the Army Aviation Heritage foundation on Henry country airport. We rent a 1968 Huey UH-1H for a spin. It was a complete blast! Our pilot was a Vietnam veteran with a lot of combat experience and we spent the entire day, along with all the really kind volunteers at AAHF asking all the questions we ever wanted to ask to real life Huey pilots. The first video of this meeting is a 360 degrees one shot on a GoPro fusion we installed inside the cockpit. Check out the full startup procedure and the flow that goes with it. Real pro stuff. Also, our pilots were kind enough to demonstrate all the questions we had about the Huey: EGT, OGE, IGE, ETL, pattern... It was just awesome. Many more videos to come of the unforgettablel day with AAHF.

  11. Qatar :smartass::smartass:
  12. Yes, there is captain. But don't give up the Ka50! It's awesome with 2 radio panels and you can even control the ABRIS and the Datalink with it.
  13. Aaaaawesome! So happy you are working with Viper39. Combatflite is an amazing software and will be a must have when it is released.
  14. Can't buddy lase with the Vikhr. As Nero.ger says, it is a beam riding missile. You would need to be nearly at the same spot than the launcher which would be a bit useless.
  15. Thanks Captain! Awesome job! (and thanks for the Gazelle)
  16. ME is not hard, but you need someone to explain it for your first mission. Also, you can have a look at the many tutorials on YT.
  17. Maybe your weight is within limits but what about your torque and EGT when you are lifting up with your load? Also, are you making sure you have a head wind during the operation? What is the temperature and altitude of the area you are working on?
  18. Procedure to release bombs with the Mi8 using the gun sight is detailed in the manual. It is VERY approximate and forces you to fly relatively low which usually ends up badly with any bombs bigger than 100kg, not to mention you have to overfly the target which is not helping with the whole survivability concept. But we did have some reasonably good results during training at BSD following the method in the manual.
  19. AAah. OK. Didn't know that. I am only dealing with helicopters as you guessed.
  20. Thanks man. Excellent mod nonetheless.
  21. Oooh. Smart. Thanks man.

    Holy Cow!

If you are reading the comments on ED's FB page, those cows will be objects to add in the mission editor. Also, ED confirmed that they are working on animated crew for aircraft carriers.
  23. Mais, il me semble bien pourtant qu'on avait fait la trad du Huey il y a pas mal de temps de cela.
