  1. Oh sorry. I read your post too fast. Combatflite is coming soon.
  2. Thanks Mole! Yeah, Sunday flight with you guys and the 906th was pretty cool! We'll do that again soon! Yes, the bodnar boards are the base of my KA50 cockpit (it uses 11 of them!), but my objective here is to adapt the GNS430 from Realsimgear to work in DCS and it is based on Arduino board: Looking awesome, no? :) Arduino boards are not recognized as standard USB HID devices like Bodnar boards so they are not recognized as joysticks inside DCS.
  3. ED is apparently going this way with the latest announcement of Modern Air Combat. But it is a bit sad. We are seeing that everywhere: produce mediocre products so you can sell more! I think there is enough choice in the flight sim community for mediocre products to avoid suggesting that this behavior should also contaminate this one. If you want easy to fly, and stick to DCS, why not use the arcade mode?
  4. I think you can also select the unit you want by clicking on it in the table listing them. You have to know its name though.
  5. Will never happen but hell yes!
  6. Matbog, this is pit building hardcore level that always make me realize how little talent I have. Really fantastic work. Can't wait to see the final result.
  7. Thanks Captain. I would like to interface an arduino board with NS430 to be able to use this GPS in a physical cockpit. Let me know if you find something.
  8. +1. Would love to see something less high but there's nothing we can do about it until ED changes that.
  9. Or you can use the CSAR script that works great in MP.
  10. Snoopy from 476th is putting something together and it should be available momentarily. Keep an eye on community news.
  11. Hi guys, Do you know if DCS BIOS outputs the NS430 controls? Thanks.
  12. Maybe you can merge this with your marine life mod? Don’t know if this is feasible. Shagrat’s request I think is similar to the one I had for you a few months ago. Civilians. You sent me some but the scale were a bit off and some of the civilians looked real big and also they had some un natural positions with their arms straight up. Civilians are so badly needed for many operations (humanitarian, rescues,...) as well as bewing able to correctly simulate roe.
  13. Awesome work flappie! Thanks!
  14. Hello Snoopy, Did you find some time to progress on those PG charts? Thanks for your hard work for the community!
  15. Fly the release version, not the Open Beta. Changelog was clear about that.
  16. Switch to manual and the gun will shoot straight so you can use the HUD sight a bit like rockets. Of course you need to have a working HUD. Otherwise, you have to use the short burst/correct/short bust good old method.
  17. Flying with the FSSB R3 will require you to learn again how to fly your aircraft. It is awesome to use but for a few weeks/month, expect to get back to noob level.
  18. Lol. That solves the rain drop question in a quite dramatic way.:megalol:
  19. Great news. Blue shores are not a big deal. Thanks man.
  20. Awesome screens ebabil. There must be ways of simulating forest fires in ME by activating/de activating lines of large fires objects moving forward while using some remove objects actions on the burnt trees. Now the issue indeed is how to put those fires out in a realistic way.
  21. They were not. But we told them before coming what we were into and I had my Razer Blade laptop with me. I was able to show them for 10 minutes BST UH-1H. Only problem is that I was lacking my controls and other cockpit parts, so it was pretty much just a show of inside and outside the virtual aircraft. They are looking on the other hand at using some of those old cockpits you saw on the video to eventually build some sim that they can bring to airshows and asked us for our insight and recommendations (of course DCS) as well as how to interface with real controls. We are keeping in touch for that.
  22. If your statics or units are on their way, AI won't taxi anymore.
  23. I agree that we could use a slightly improve briefing editor than a couple of 512x512 pictures with plain text (not even the slightest formatting available). Very 1990. On the other hand, the soul of a mission if what the mission designer is putting in it, not how it is presented. Mission with soul are mission with traffic on the airport, AI aircraft flying around, static elements, radio coms, triggers that can change a situation, an objective or simply catch the pilots by surprise. And we already have all this in the ME.
  24. Sorry, I should have done that earlier, but flying low and slow, it is quite often that we are spotting some strange things on the PG map: The incomplete exchanger: N29 48.133 / E52 24.700 The not so flat industrial estate: N29 40.900 / E52 32.800 The tunnel with a road going through: N29 45.300 / E52 37.016 A couple of messed up tunnel entrances: N29 45.133 / E52 37.883 The pyramids: N29 45.583 / E52 39.716 The sand dune: N29 54.033 / E52 49.616 The blue shores: N30 03.500 E52 55.066 The great wall of china: N27 51.266 / E54 20.700
  25. We have large fires objects in ME. We have bambi bucket and animals in Mods (and soon DCS cows). Bambi bucket could be implemented as a weapon load (I don't know if it is the case right now) so when pressing the release weapon button, it shows water falling. I was wondering if there is a way through scripting in ME to remove (de activate) a fire object depending on the distance to the point of impact of the bambi bucket weapon (water could very roughly behave like a free fall bomb). Patrick56 recently implemented parachute dropping from Mi8, why not water bombing. What's missing is some localized heavy turbulences when flying above the flames.
