  1. Hello. i dropped your dcs.log to the Discord analyzer. here is advice and tuning tips Advice Disable Core Parking. Verify that this is configured correctly in Windows: Game Mode disabled Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling disabled Core Isolation disabled Tuning Tips Set Water to Medium or Low. Disable civil traffic. Consider using DLAA. Disable Tacview for performance reasons. Set Shadows to Medium. Turn off SSAO. Tuning tips are recommendations for better FPS based on your CPU, GPU and RAM. They might result in slightly decreased display quality. your log in the start has this line which matches up with disable parking. you should also disable hypervisor if you do not need it for anything else. 2025-03-31 08:59:38.821 WARNING EDCORE (Main): hypervisor is active 2025-03-31 08:59:38.821 WARNING EDCORE (Main): CPU HAS PARKED LOGICAL CORES (this can be source of stuttering and reduced performance especially on hybrid CPUs with P/E-cores)
  2. and i apologize that i forgot to mention i have a 3090 video card.
  3. hello start on page 268 Nose Wheel Steering Button another page 288 but i have noticed that the two pages contradict each other on which button to use. lol.
  4. @Flappie hopefully this helps. based on OP's latest TRK. here is a video in 2D not showing artefacts. and my OPTIONS.lua https://pcwiseman.com/downloads_files/2025-03-30-11493302.mp4 options.lua
  5. good to hear. i am a sysadmin and i cannot tell you how many times windows righted itself after a restart. new users especially think i am blowing smoke when i direct them to restart.
  6. i think what @Flappie is trying to say is, that unless your answer to a solved topic is, "it fixed my problem too", is to start another topic about YOUR issue specifically.
  7. hello. sorry for your trouble. you commented on a 4 year old thread. you should start your own thread. much has happened in the past 4 years.
  8. without any other info provided, i.e. a log or a track, you have a mod conflict. you should at least consider removing mods and run a repair.
  9. spot on. i did not consider this. defender does indeed activate when no other AV product is running. even when there is another product installed. the OP should be able to look at logs for defender. open Event Viewer, navigate to "Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Windows Defender", and then double-click "Operational" to see a list of events
  10. hello. dropped your log into the analyzer: Advice Disable Core Parking. Remove the core-affinity mask from your CPU. Verify that this is configured correctly in Windows: Game Mode disabled Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling disabled Tuning Tips Enable Full Screen mode. Tuning tips are recommendations for better FPS based on your CPU, GPU and RAM. They might result in slightly decreased display quality. though no real crash. can you reproduce and grab the latest log?
  11. hello. what do you use for AV? it still appears to be AV as your issue. F-14 especially causing false positives on this latest patch. make sure you exclude the correct folders.
  12. i am not totally sure about how to selectively set sleep. honestly windows would be controlling that. it would stay awake as long as it sensed an application is running. do you or not have full screen in DCS configured? my computer is set only to get screensaver to go on after a set period. i have left DCS in main menu and came back to the blank screen (my set screensaver). i wiggle the mouse and DCS comeback immediately. i also have high performance power plan set. this will inhibit hibernation or sleep. at my work we have had issues with sleep that the computer sometimes does not awaken like it should. some users and DCS have issues with it, but Process Lasso will inhibit sleep when certain processes are running.
  13. since several versions of DCS ago, there is only MT. BIN is the folder ongoing.
  14. @Dogmanbird hello. you seem to have a problem opposite of what this document describes. but it may help to understand what is happening. maybe not. https://pcwiseman.com/downloads_files/DCS_New_Computer.pdf
  15. hello. have you added exclusions for relevant DCS folders in your AV? i had a similar problem. it took minutes to get into a game. now it is about 30 seconds. lots of problems concerning AV and DCS lately.
  16. i put this in another post. this is a false positive. Antivirus programs employ heuristic analysis, which means they look for patterns. Antivirus programs can be overly cautious and flag DLLs as malicious, even when they are not harmful, potentially causing problems with software installations or updates. If you suspect a DLL file is a false positive, you can verify its legitimacy by checking the source of the file, by contacting the software developer for clarification. as a security professional, you should know better. long time ago eset used to block ms exchange because of false positive. this post has not seen the OP since the beginning and now it is just a see saw of back and forth. there are many people that have exclusions, me for one, and the world has not gotten any worse than it is because of it.
  17. wie gehts? i remember another user with the odd memory annotation. i forgot what the cause was. i think 128 GB of RAM is overkill. i would drop it to 32. i know you say it does not matter in your case. i see an error mentioning the DCS temp folder. 2025-03-24 21:25:03.511 ERROR EDCORE (Main): Failed to delete C:\Users\linkf\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\tempMission.miz: Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden. go to that location to see if there are any contents. if so, it is safe to delete. i dropped your log into the Discord analyzer Advice Verify that this is configured correctly in Windows: Game Mode disabled Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling disabled PS try to make windows autosize your pagefile. i know it sounds counterintuitive but it may work. tschuss
  18. as @MAXsenna has said, this is a false positive.
  19. hello as @Kanelbolle mentioned. i concur with this idea about this symptom you mentioned. there is something called "split tunnel" on VPNs like mentioned. this is essentially allowing traffic from both the VPN and the home network. this is less secure than having the VPN as not split tunnel. here is a nordvpn link about it. https://nordvpn.com/features/split-tunneling/
  20. @bojote do you have the opportunity to use USB C to USB C connection for the displaylink aspect? i had a recent issue at the office with a multi-monitor setup. a laptop on a dock could not run two 4K displays. turned out that if only one DP or HDMI for one display and the other using USB C it would work. just an idea.
  21. hello. can you post your latest dcs.log? i can compare it to the previous for any changes. i rewatched your video. does it work any better at altitude? i realize choppers are their own challenge with stuttering.
  22. unfortunately this problem is age old and fairly typical. especially when trying to run track with a differing version of DCS that created the track. one of many posts.
  23. have a look here. you can edit the BAT file to your desired version. also look up skatezilla utility.
  24. haha. yes. permanent party there was a challenge. fun fact. Shaquille O'Neal lived there with his family when i was stationed there. i knew of his dad (SGT) in finance detachment. shaq played basketball on the post school team.
