hello. sounds like the mouse is going to sleep. when you spend 3 minutes in f10, are you using the mouse constantly? when it happens again, post your DCS log. if the mouse is disconnecting, the log may show it.

i am assuming OBS is OBS studio. anyway i believe you need to run OBS as admin for it to properly interact. maybe this post would shed some light.

hello did you mess around with HOSTS file in the past. i know there were lots of users that did this to get around some coding errors. look in folder "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" make sure there is nothing uncommented with hash (#). if there is, just comment out the line with hash. my default HOSTS: # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. hello i do not have this file either. does dcs eventually open and run properly? how much delay are you talking about? do you have exceptions in your AV software for the pertinent dcs folders: install folder and saved games folder? you could try a repair. however, i have a feeling the repair will not find the zip to re-add. i suppose you could make a copy of the zip and rename it. just a workaround. seems like a definite bug.

as @Czar66 stated, you likely have a few installations OR upgraded a bunch. the color of icon does not matter too much since it can be changed to one of a few different colors. what matters is where the shortcut is located. my shortcut looks like this in its properties. TARGET: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" (you can also just put the dcs.exe in lieu of the updater. START IN: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta" null

thanks to all. BJ55 had the answer though the other solutions were also sound. i used a modifier on the throttle with TMS up and down.

@buceador i ran both your tracks. same results. AI is fine. Player nada. i have not tried FC save track. quite honestly i think this topic is moot. the dev team not mentioning either fixing or mentioning a new system, proves that something is in the works. i totally get it. if any news is mentioned, the user base will flip out. no need for that modus operandi. i do not make content so i have no use for the tracks.

you can also run a disk utility on the D drive to find where all the fat is. i use one called windirstat that is free. just run it as admin to see stuff your user may not normally be able to see. https://windirstat.net/ you may have a bunch of temp files you can delete.

in fairness, ED has stated they cannot fix the current system. they need to create a new system from the ground up.

you should use a mod manager in the future. mods use part of DCS core and when they update, some mods will break. if you continue to have issues, come back. get rid of the mods and run a repair. sometimes mods will quickly update and you can retry it. that is where the mod manager comes in to play. https://github.com/sedenion/ovgme is a popular mod manager.

to add to what @Raven (Elysian Angel) mentioned, discreet sound cards do use CPU because much of the processing is done on the card. at least in the day they did. @Aluminum Donkey only thing i can think of as a cause is that audio uses some CPU. if the driver is faulty i suppose it could cause crackling and performance issues. do you use the MS drivers or the mobo manufacturer's.

odd for sure. funny coincidence. my logitech kb has started to spam the spacebar. meaning it will do multiple presses sometimes. LOL. well in ED's favor. they have a lot going on and this issue is likely at the bottom of the list of TO DO.

They might result in slightly decreased display quality. unfortunately (IMO) the newer gen intel cpus cause issues. i have an 11 gen cpu and have none of these issues. it is the sales pitch of intel to claim all these cores and it is a combo of P and E cores. E cores do not play with DCS very well.

pro tip. browse to the folder in file explorer and type CMD in the URL. command prompt will open in that folder.
